Wegener's Granulomatosis is an uncommon disease which is characterized by granulomatous vasculitis of both lung and kidney. Although the cause is unknown, it's suggesting that disordered immunity with both antibody and cell-mediated tissue damage occurs. The disease affects patients of any age. Characteristic clinical manifestations are diverse but in clude saddle nose deformity, sinusitis, productive coughing, myalgia, fever etc. Characteristic laboratory abnormalities include elevated ESR, neutrophilic leukocytosis, anemia and positive test for ANCA test. Renal biopsy is important for diagnosis. The treatment of choice is a combination of corticosteroid and cytotoxic agent. A53-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of productive coughing, short of breathing, oliguria, nausea, and vomiting. Three months ago, she was suffered from general weakness, poor appetite, tingling sensation on extremity, and loosely stool. Twenty days ago, above symptoms were aggravated, she admitted local clinic. Six days ago, because of CBC showed anemia , she was done transfusion. During transfusion, she was developed urticaha then productive coughing, dyspnea, increased serum BUN and creatinine levels. She was transferred to our hospital under the impression of ARF. On the admission, she was chronic ill-looking appearance with pale conjunctiva, tachypnea, dyspnea, and cold sweating. We have checked the patient by CBC, serum and serologic test, X-ray, ANCA test, renal biopsy. With renal biopsy microscopic examination study revealed necrotizing vasculitis, We treated a combination therapy with methyl-PDS and cyclophosphamide. She had a good response. So we report wegener's granulomatosis with the review of relevant literature.

A harpacticoid species, Paramphiascella fulvofasciata Rosenfield and Coull, 1974, belonging to Miraciidae Dana, 1846 is newly reported from Korean waters. The species is mostly related with P. pacifica Vervoort, 1962, however, it is easily distinguished by the typical structure of male P2 in having 1 large spine and 2 setae on P2 enp-2. Korean materials represented some discrepancies from the original description of P. fulvofasciata in the detailed structures of mouth parts. The present study is a first record of the genus Paramphiascella Lang, 1944 from Korean waters.
Optimization of Suspension Under the Condition of Curved Track in Railway Vehicle
Jong Yoon Choi,Zheng Yuan Li,Seung Guk Baek,Ki Seok Song,Ja Choon Koo,Yeon Sun Choi 한국철도학회 2014 International Journal of Railway Vol.7 No.2
This paper presents the optimization of suspension characteristics under the condition of curved track railway vehicles. Reducing lateral acceleration on curved track is an issue for high-speed railway vehicles. In terms of curved track running environments, reducing the lateral vibration of railway vehicles is critical to safety and curving performance. The properties of lateral damping and stiffness of both primary and secondary suspension show effect on wheel-set, bogie and car-body. Analysis for reducing the lateral vibration of rail vehicles with respect to the characteristics of both primary and secondary suspension has been developed using ADAMS/Rail. Response Surface Method has been chosen for the purpose of verifying correlation effects among design parameters. Also, this paper suggests the method for designing optimal suspension of railway vehicles on curved track. The optimization result indicates decrement of lateral acceleration on wheel-set by 3% and bogie by 1% on curved track. Finally, this paper comes to the conclusion that suspension system of railway vehicle (KTX I) is properly designed when regarding lateral vibration of railway vehicle on diverse curved track condition.
Spin Hall magnetoresistance in heavy-metal/metallic-ferromagnet multilayer structures
Choi, Jong-Guk,Lee, Jae Wook,Park, Byong-Guk American Physical Society 2017 Physical Review B Vol.96 No.17
<P>We investigate spin Hall magnetoresistance (SMR) in heavy-metal (HM)/metallic-ferromagnet (FM) multilayers as a function of the FM thickness. We observe that the SMR is considerably modified when the FM layer is thinner than similar to 1.5 nm, which is a critical thickness of a FM for the absorption or reflection of spin current generated from the spin Hall effect in a HM. Moreover, the FM thickness dependence of the SMR in HM/FM/HM trilayer structures relies on the relative signs of the spin Hall angle in HMs, indicating that there is non-negligible interaction between the accumulated spins at each HM/FM interface. We propose an analytical model of the SMR in a HM/FM/HM trilayer by incorporating the spin transmission through the HM/FM interfaces and the resultant interaction in the FM layer, which can explain the variation of the SMR with the relative signs of the spin Hall angle in HMs.</P>

Spin Hall nano-oscillators (SHNO), which activates the auto-oscillation motion of magnetization by spin current, is attracting attention as a neuromorphic device because it can easily interact with an external microwave signal through a synchronization process [1]. The SHNO as a neuromorphic device should be able to represent a wider range of frequencies in order to interact with signals of more diverse frequencies. However, the voltage-driven frequency modulation is still in the megahertz range, which is not sufficient to utilize SHNO as neuromorphic device. Here, we demonstrate the voltage-driven frequency modulation of 2.1 GHz in a Pt/[Co/Ni]n/AlOx SHNO by a gate bias of up to 5V, which is 42 times larger than the previous high record [2]. A positive voltage increases the auto-oscillation frequency, and a negative voltage restores the frequency to its initial. Such large frequency modulation is found to originate from variation of perpendicular magnetic anisotropy field of 10-1 T. Furthermore, It is possible to modulate frequency cumulatively using repetitive voltage pulses, suggesting that the proposed SHNO can act as synaptic device in neuromorphic computing. Our result will provide an important building block for spin-based low-power neuromorphic device applications.
Dual-wavelength Fourier ptychography using a single LED
Choi, Guk-Jong,Lim, Jinsang,Jeon, Sungbin,Cho, Janghyun,Lim, Geon,Park, No-Cheol,Park, Young-Pil The Optical Society 2018 Optics letters Vol.43 No.15
<P>We propose dual-wavelength Fourier ptychography for topographic measurement. To extend the axial measurement range, a single light-emitting diode (LED) and two appropriate bandpass filters are employed. This provides a spedde-free phase image, and reduces the possibility of a systematic error, which yields a high-quality topographic image. The proposed system can measure the surface topography in the range of nano- to micro-structures. The performance of the system is experimentally verified. (C) 2018 Optical Society of America</P>
