        파라콰트 중독에서의 항산화치료

        Background: Paraquat causes severe tissue toxicity when ingested, but has no effective treatment modality. We have shown that high dose vitamin C has effective antioxidant activities against the paraquat intoxication in a previous animal experiment. This study was designed to evaluate the effect of antioxidant therapy with high dose vitamin C and vitamin E in human cases of paraquat intoxication. Methods: From August 1999 to August 2001, 19 paraquat intoxication patients who visited the emergency department of the Seoul National University Hospital and the Kyounghee University Hospital were enrolled to this study. They were devided into two groups, a control group(9 patients) and a study group(10 patients). The control group received only conservative managements including gastro-intestinal decontaminati-on. The study group received conservative managements plus the antioxidant therapy which was composed of vitamin C 24 gm/day intravenously and 20 gm/day orally, and vitamin E 1.6 gm/day orally. Results: In the study group, 5 of 10 patients(50%) survived, but all patients of the control group died(p=0.003). There were no significant differences in age, sex, and usage of gastric lavage and activated charcoal between the two groups. Difference in ingested amount of paraquat between the two groups could not be analyzed due to the inexact and subjective measuring methods based on patients' histories. Conclusion: Antioxidant therapy with high dose vitamin C and vitamin E is effective in vival rate in paraquat intoxicated patients.

        항정신병 약물이 Cyclooxygenase-2 유전자 발현과 Prostaglandin E_2 농도에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : Cyclooxygenase(COX) is the central enzyme in the biosynthetic pathway to prostaglandins from arachidonic acids. The action mechanism of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is through inhibition of COX activity and prostanoid biosynthesis including prostaglandin E_2(PGE_2). The antipsychotic drugs are known having an analgesic effects, however its mechanisms of actions of action to pain control was not still clearly proved. In the present study, the effects of antipsychotic drugs(chlorpromazie and clozapine) on the production of PGE_2 and the expression of COX-2mRNA and protein in P815 cell line were studied. Methods : For that purpose, the methods of RT-PCR, western blot and prostagalndin E_2 enzymeimmunoassay were applied. Results : The results showed tha tin P815 cells treated with chlorpromazine, the level of COX2 mRNA was significantly decreased compared to the control cells. And total cellular PGE_2 levels were significantly decreased after treatment with chlorpromazine and clozapine. Conclusion : These results suggest that antipsychotic drugs have revealed their analgesic effect through the inhibition of COX-2 activity and PGE_2 production. And also, these results partly supports the excess theory of prostaglangdins in the pathogenesis of schizophrenia.

        Development of High Functional Black Resin Coated Electrogalvanized Steel Sheet for Digital TV Panel

        Recently Digital TV industry has drastically been moving the illuminating system, which causes an obvious product change from PDP and LCD to LED model to provide high-definition image. Due to strong competition in the digital industry. TV manufacturers make a great efforts to reduce production cost by using low-priced materials such as steels instead of aluminum and plastic etc. In this paper we have developed a new low-priced electrogalvanized steel sheet, which has a black resin composite layer, to substitute conventional high-priced PCM steel and plastic mold for rear cover panel in the digital TV. The black resin composite was prepared by mechanical dispersion of the mixture solution that consists of high solid polyester resin, melamine hardener, black pigment, micronized silica paste, polyacrylate texturing particle and miscellaneous additives. The composite solution was coated on the steel sheet using roll coater followed by induction furnace curing and cooling. Although the coated layer has a half thickness compared to the conventional PCM steels having 23tn thickness, it exhibits excellent quality for the usage of rear cover panel. The new steel sheet was applied to test products to get quality certification from worldwide electronic appliance customers. Detailed discussion provides in this paper including preparation of composite solution, roll coating technology, induction curing technology and quality evaluation from customers.

        타이어의 접지 면적과 비선형 접지압력을 고려한 연성포장내의 거동 분석

        포장을 설계하고 설계 수명을 산정하거나 현재 공용중인 포장의 유지ㆍ관리를 위한 상태 평가를 수행해야하는 경우 포장의 거동 분석은 중요한 입력 변수로 작용하게 된다. 포장의 거동을 예측하기 위해서는 정확한 타이어의 접지면적과 타이어의 압력이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실제 측정된 타이어의 형상을 측정하여 PCA에서 제안한 타이어의 형상과 비교하고, 측정된 타이어의 접지면적과 타이어의 종류에 대한 타이어 압력분포를 사용하여 3차원 유한요소해석을 통하여 포장의 거동을 예측하고 예측된 포장의 거동과 실제 포장의 거동을 비교ㆍ분석하였다. 해석 결과 표층의 경우 타이어의 형상과 비선형 압력분포의 영향을 크게 받으며, 이러한 타이어의 특성을 고려함으로써 현장 거동을 보다 잘 설명할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 중간층의 경우 타이어의 영향이 크지 않은 것으로 나타났으며, 실제 현장 거동과 비교했을 때 타이어 하부 에서는 큰 차이를 보여주어 실제 포장의 거동을 보다 정확하게 예측하기 위해서는 이 부분을 보다 명확하게 설명을 할 수 있어야 할 것으로 나타났다. The important elements in pavement design criteria are the stress and strain distributions. To obtain reasonable stress and strain distribution, tire contact area and tire pressures are very important. In this study, finite element analysis was used to identify the three-dimension states using nonlinear tire contact pressure and measured tire contact area. Measured tire contact area was quite different from the assumed tire contact area, and it resulted in different strain states under the tire. At the surface course, considering tire rib and nonlinear tire pressure, the pavement response presented accurate data compared to the predicted one. However, at the binder course, tire effects were generally negligible and it showed that the predicted pavement response was different compared to the measured one.

        아스팔트 혼합물의 점탄성과 차량의 이동 속도가 포장 거동에 미치는 영향

        본 논문에서는 차량의 주행속도가 아스팔트 포장의 변형률 거동에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 현장시험을 실시하고 그 결과를 3차원 유한요소해석과 비교, 분석하였다. 한국도로공사 시험도로에서 기층의 두께가 다른 세 단면(A2, A5, A8)을 선정하고, 각 단면별로 세 가지의 주행속도(25, 50, 80㎞/hr)에 대한 종, 횡방향 변형률을 측정하였다. ABAQUS를 이용한 수치해석에서는 시험차량인 덤프트럭(단축-탠덤축)의 축하중을 단계하중(step loading)으로 모사하였으며 , 시험도로 아스팔트 혼합물에 대한 선형 점탄성 물성 계수(E(t))를 적용하여 보다 현실적인 거동해석을 실시하였다. 주어진 시험 조건에서 아스팔트 층 하부에서 측정한 종, 횡방향 변형률의 차이(이방성)는 모든 단면에서 목격되었고, 수치해석결과 차량의 주행속도가 증가함에 따라 임계 지점에서 발생하는 최대 변형률의 크기는 감소하는 것으로 예측되었다. 또한, 최대변형률의 크기도 횡방향 변형률이 종방향 변형률에 비하여 약 27% 정도 작았으며, 차량의 속도가 증가함에 따라 최대 변형률의 감소폭도 횡방향이 약간 큰 것으로 나타났다. This study presents a viscoelastic characterization of flexible pavement subjected to moving loads. A series of field tests have been conducted on three pavement sections (A2, A5, and A8) at the Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) test road. The effect of vehicle speed on the responses of each test section was investigated at three speeds: 25 ㎞/hr, 50 ㎞/hr, and 80 ㎞/hr. During the test, both longitudinal and lateral strains were measured at the bottom of asphalt layers and in-situ measurements were compared with the results of finite element (FE) analyses. A commercial FE package, ABAQUS was used to model each test section and a step loading approximation has been adopted to simulate the effect a moving vehicle. For viscoelastic analysis, relaxation moduli of asphalt mixtures were obtained from laboratory test. Field responses reveals the strain anisotropy (i.e., discrepancy between longitudinal and lateral strains) and the amplitude of strain normally decreases as the vehicle speed increases. In most cases, lateral strain was smaller than longitudinal strain, and strain reduction was more significant in lateral direction.

      • Enhancing the Working Memory of Stroke Patients Using tDCS :

        <P>OBJECTIVES: We investigated whether anodal transcranial direct current stimulation over the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex affected the working memory performance of patients after a stroke. DESIGN: Ten patients (mean age 47.7 yrs) with cognitive deficits after a first-ever stroke participated in this single-blind, crossover, and sham-controlled experiment. Each patient was randomly assigned to undergo two transcranial direct current stimulation sessions: anodal dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and sham stimulation within 48 hrs of a washout period. All participants performed a two-back working memory task before and after the administration of the transcranial direct current stimulation. Accuracy (correction rate), recognition accuracy (correction rate-commission error rate), and response time were measured during each experiment. RESULTS: Repeated-measures analysis of variance indicated a significant interaction effect of transcranial direct current stimulation type and time on the recognition accuracy. Post hoc analyses revealed a significant difference between prestimulation and poststimulation in the anodal stimulation group but not in the sham stimulation group. Regarding the accuracy, the paired t test indicated significant improvement only after anodal transcranial direct current stimulation without a significant interaction effect between the two transcranial direct current stimulation types. The response time was not significantly different in the anodal and sham stimulation groups. CONCLUSION: Our results demonstrated that anodal transcranial direct current stimulation over the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex was associated with enhanced working memory performance as indexed by the recognition accuracy in patients after a stroke.</P>

      • A Study on the deep hole machining by BTA drill

        Among drilling operation, the most difficult machining method is deep hole drilling. And deep hole drilling is difficult by using conventional drilling operation because it has problems such as chip removal, cooling and lubrication for the cutting tip and vibration problem and strength requirement of the tool. To solve these problems, the most adequate drilling method is to use tool which can supply high pressure cutting fluid. And the typical method for this application is the BTA drill. This study is related to the fuel oil supply pipe for the large ship and machining of it.
