Distribution of Bi–MnS Inclusions Existing in 1215MS Steels: Correlation with Thermal Physical Coefficient

        Jian‑bo Xie,Bei‑bei Liu,Xiang‑yu Wu,Jian‑xun Fu 대한금속·재료학회 2022 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.28 No.5

This work aims to comprehensively summarize the types and distribution of the isolated Bi particles and MnS inclusions inthe Bi-bearing steels, to study the precipitated behavior of sulfide, and to study the effect of Bi particles on grain sizes andthe volume thermal expansion coefficients of the steels. Results show that the average percentage of the isolated Bi particles,semi-encapsulation, complete encapsulation, back-bridge, tiny encapsulation, cavity bridge Bi–MnS inclusions in the Bibearingsteels was 16.89%, 20.49%, 3.44%, 16.89%, 31.63%, 10.66%, respectively. The average equivalent diameters of thegrains in the 0 ppm, 130 ppm, 240 ppm, 760 ppm, 1200 ppm and 2300 ppm Bi content steels were 20.88, 20.17, 19.54, 18.13,13.98 and 13.25 μm, respectively. The precipitated equilibrium mass concentration product of the MnS (w[Mn]·w[S]) wascalculated to be 1.07, and the solid fraction fS value was 0.61. At 950 °C, the volume thermal expansion coefficient change(ΔVE) in 760 ppm Bi content steel was minimum 4 × 10–10%, while at 461.6 °C the ΔVE was maximum, 0.09%, which meansthat Bi affected the volume thermal expansion of the steel strongest in this temperature range.

Enhancement of Impurity, Machinability and Mechanical Properties in Te-Treated 0Cr18Ni9 Steel

        Jian‑bo Xie,Tian Fan,Han Sun,Zhi‑qi Zeng,Jian‑xun Fu 대한금속·재료학회 2021 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.27 No.6

To enhance the machinability and mechanical properties of 0Cr18Ni9 steel, free-machining element Te was introduced inthis work. By adding various quantities of Te to steel, several machining and tensile tests were carried out. Results show thatwith Te addition of 530 ppm, the number of inclusion sizes below 1 μm disappeared. With raising Te from 360 to 530 ppm, more MnTe–MnS inclusions of 10–40 μm were in spherical shape; above 50 μm2, the ratio of inclusion area at 530 ppmwas greatest among all, and the large-sized inclusions occupied a larger share. Te addition contributed to the surfaces ofmachining steels more smooth. The ultimate tensile strength of steel increased from 399 to 435 MPa. Te resulted in growthof sulfides and improved the machinability of steel.

State Augmented Feedback Controller Design Approach for T-S Fuzzy System with Complex Actuator Saturations

        Jian Zhang,Wen-Bo Xie,Mou-Quan Shen,Ling Huang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2017 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.15 No.5

The control problem of T-S fuzzy system with actuator amplitude, rate and acceleration saturations isaddressed in this paper, where state augmented feedback controller with LMIs (Liner Matrix Inequalities) constraintconditions are proposed. Dynamic decoupling method is applied to fuzzify the input magnitude saturation nonlinearityinto several sub-linear systems with fuzzy rules, thus a new T-S fuzzy system with input rate and accelerationsaturations can be obtained. Then PDC (parallel distributed compensation) and NPDC (non-PDC) controller areboth designed for the new T-S fuzzy system. The first and second order derivatives of input variable are given toobtain an augmented fuzzy system. As the augmented system output variable, the input rate is represented by firstorder derivative of the input term, the rate saturation constraint is described through norm bounded method. Moreover, the polytopic approach is used to replace the second order derivative of the input term, and a state augmentedfeedback NPDC controller is designed, the domain of attraction optimization process is also given. Finally, twopractical examples are presented to show the effectiveness of proposed method.

Plastic Deformation Mechanism of the Ti6Al4V Micro-gear Formed Under an Electrical Field

        Bo Zeng,Xiangzhong Yan,Zhiqiang Xie,Jian Liu,Jie Wang,Kunlan Huang,Yi Yang 한국정밀공학회 2024 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.11 No.1

Despite the fact that titanium alloy micro-gear has superior performance and can withstand special conditions, it is difficult to machine due to its poor plasticity and high strength. We proposed an eco-friendly, efficient, and sustainable electric field assisted micro-plastic forming technology (micro-EFAPFT) for forming titanium alloy microparts. Ti-6Al-4 V alloy bars were extruded into micro-gears using an electrothermal coupling field and Joule heating in a graphite mold. The micro-gear has high precision, good surface quality, and a simple process. The whole process takes only 380 s. The findings demonstrate that the best gear forming degree, fewer microstructure defects, and hardness reaching 330.1 HV—4.4% higher than that of the raw material—occur when the pressure holding period is 120 s. During the plastic deformation process, phase transformation and recrystallization occur, increasing the fraction of α phase from 96.6–99.68% and increasing the grain orientation difference. The tooth tip has finer grains but longer dislocation lines. In conclusion, the electric field accelerates dislocation motion, reduces dislocation density, and increases material plasticity, allowing the Ti6Al4V micro-gear to be formed in a single step. The experimental results validate the feasibility of this technology for producing titanium alloy micro-gear and can be used to guide the production of different materials and shapes of microparts.

Observer-based Controller Design for A T-S Fuzzy System with Unknown Premise Variables

        Wen-Bo Xie,He Li,Zhenhua Wang,Jian Zhang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.17 No.4

For the stabilization problem of T-S fuzzy system, a new observer-based controller design approachis proposed when premise variables are not accessible. With a fuzzy observer, the estimated states error system isdescribed as two parts: unknown premise variable caused terms and observer error terms. Consider the property thatthe norm of the unknown premise variable caused terms are under a Lipschitz condition constraint of observer error,an observer and controller errors augmented system is obtained. Then based on the Lyapunov function method, aseries of linear matrix inequality conditions are proposed to asymptotically stabilize the system, the observer gainmatrices are used to overcome the uncertainties caused by UPVs. Finally a simulation example is used to illustratethe effectiveness of the proposed method, comparisons with traditional method shows the conservatism reductioneffects.

Austenite Grain Growth Behavior of 30BF Steel Before Rough Rolling

        Yong‑feng Chen,Jian‑bo Xie,Yan‑xin Wu,Jian‑xun Fu 대한금속·재료학회 2019 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.25 No.4

To investigate the eff ect of heat treatment on the grain size of austenite in 30BF steel, the comparisons of the morphologiesand sizes of austenite grains between heating samples were made with a high-temperature electric resistance furnace, andthe austenite growth models were built with method of mathematics. The results show that most grains in original specimenwith the sizes below 70 μm uniformly distributed. At a heating rate ( v ) of 10 °C/s, the grain size ( d ) value under a certain time( t ) increased by 60–100 μm with raising temperature ( T ) from 850 to 1100 °C, whereas the d value under a certain T merelyincreased by 70–120 μm with raising time to 60 min. Under v = 0.1 °C/s, T = 850 °C, and t = 0 s, the occupied ratio of grainswith sizes of 40–50 μm was 0.165, whereas at 900 °C, the occupied ratio was 0.125. The evolutions of ln (d5.8− d5.80 ) with1/ T were in negative linear correlations, whereas the ln (d5.8− d5.80 ) with ln t were in positive linear correlations. To sum up,the grain growth behavior of steel was elucidated.

      • Ginsenoside-Rh2 Inhibits Proliferation and Induces Apoptosis of Human Gastric Cancer SGC-7901 Side Population Cells

        Qian, Jun,Li, Jing,Jia, Jian-Guang,Jin, Xin,Yu, Da-Jun,Guo, Chen-Xu,Xie, Bo,Qian, Li-Yu Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2016 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.17 No.4

Objectives: To observed the effects of ginsenoside -Rh2 (GS-Rh2) on proliferation and apoptosis of side population (SP) human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells. Materials and Methods: SGC-7901 SP and Non-SP cells were sorted by flow cytometry and assessed using the cck-8 method. Expression of apoptosis-related proteins Bax and Bcl-2 of SP before and after the intervention was determined by Western-blotting. Results: It was found that the proliferation of SP was significantly faster than that of NSP (P<0.05). In addition, GS-Rh2 inhibited proliferation of gastric cancer SP cells, induced cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis, and changed the expression of BAX/Bcl-2 proteins in a time-dependent and concentration-dependent manner (P<0.05). Conclusions: With increase of GS-Rh2 dose, GS-Rh2 gradually inhibit the proliferation of SGC-7901 SP cells, which have high proliferation rate, through G1/G0 phase arrest, followed by apoptosis which involves the up-regulation of Bax and the down-regulation of Bcl-2.

Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Naringin in Chronic Pulmonary Neutrophilic Inflammation in Cigarette Smoke-Exposed Rats

        Yi-Chu Nie,Hao Wu,Pei-Bo Li,Yu-Long Luo,Kang Long,Li-Ming Xie,Jian-Gang Shen,Wei-Wei Su 한국식품영양과학회 2012 Journal of medicinal food Vol.15 No.10

Naringin, a well-known flavanone glycoside of grapefruit and citrus fruits, was found to be as an effective anti-inflammatory compound in our previous lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury mouse model via blockading activity of nuclear factor κB. The current study sought to explore the anti-inflammatory effects of naringin on chronic pulmonary neutrophilic inflammation in cigarette smoke (CS)-induced rats. Seventy Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into seven groups to study the effects of CS with or without various concentrations of naringin or saline for 8 weeks. The results revealed that naringin supplementation at 20, 40, and 80 mg/kg significantly increased body weight of CS-induced rats as compared to that in the CS group. Moreover, naringin of 20, 40, and 80 mg/kg prevented CS-induced infiltration of neutrophils and activation of myeloperoxidase and matrix metalloproteinase-9, in parallel with suppression of the release of cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-8 (IL-8). IL-10 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid was significantly suppressed after CS exposure, but dose dependently elevated by naringin. The results from hematoxylin and eosin staining revealed that naringin dose dependently reduced CS-induced infiltration of inflammatory cells, thickening of the bronchial wall, and expansion of average alveolar airspace. In conclusion, our data suggest that naringin is an effective anti-inflammatory compound for attenuating chronic pulmonary neutrophilic inflammation in CS-induced rats.

      • Knockdown of GCF2/LRRFIP1 by RNAi Causes Cell Growth Inhibition and Increased Apoptosis in Human Hepatoma HepG2 Cells

        Li, Jing-Ping,Cao, Nai-Xia,Jiang, Ri-Ting,He, Shao-Jian,Huang, Tian-Ming,Wu, Bo,Chen, De-Feng,Ma, Ping,Chen, Li,Zhou, Su-Fang,Xie, Xiao-Xun,Luo, Guo-Rong Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.6

Background: GC-binding factor 2 (GCF2) is a transcriptional regulator that represses transcriptional activity of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) by binding to a specific GC-rich sequence in the EGFR gene promoter. In addition to this function, GCF2 has also been identified as a tumor-associated antigen and regarded as a potentially valuable serum biomarker for early human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) diagnosis. GCF2 is high expressed in most HCC tissues and cell lines including HepG2. This study focused on the influence of GCF2 on cell proliferation and apoptosis in HepG2 cells. Materials and Methods: GCF2 expression at both mRNA and protein levels in HepG2 cells was detected with reverse transcription (RT) PCR and Western blotting, respectively. RNA interference (RNAi) technology was used to knock down GCF2 mRNA and protein expression. Afterwards, cell viability was analyzed with a Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8), and cell apoptosis and caspase 3 activity by flow cytometry and with a Caspase 3 Activity Kit, respectively. Results: Specific down-regulation of GCF2 expression caused cell growth inhibition, and increased apoptosis and caspase 3 activity in HepG2 cells. Conclusions: These primary results suggest that GCF2 may influence cell proliferation and apoptosis in HepG2 cells, and also provides a molecular basis for further investigation into the possible mechanism at proliferation and apoptosis in HCC.
