The current investigation is concerned with the rheological impact of fourth-grade confined by Riga surface. The flow behaviour is analysed over a Riga plate in the presence of stagnation point and porous medium. The relevant similarity variables and corresponding boundary conditions are adopted to model the current problem. The highly non-linear coupled differential system is via optimal homotopy scheme. The outcomes of relevant dimensionless parameters on the velocity profile have been visualized with physical exploration. It is observed from the obtained outcomes that the fluid velocity declines against rising estimations of modified magnetic variable and inverse Darcy number. The increasing velocity change is noted for boosting values of third-grade fluid parameter. Moreover, the velocity pattern for fourth-grade material is comparatively higher than viscous, second-grade, and third-grade materials. The comparative analysis against obtained simulations is also listed.

A well-defined three-dimensional (3-D) reconstruction of bone-cartilage transitional structures is crucial for the osteochondral restoration. This paper presents an accurate, computationally efficient and semi-automated algorithm for the alignment and segmentation of two-dimensional (2-D) serial to construct the 3-D model of bonecartilage transitional structures. Entire system includes the following five components: (1) image harvest, (2) image registration, (3) image segmentation, (4) 3-D reconstruction and visualization, and (5) evaluation. A computer program was developed in the environment of Matlab for the semi-automatic alignment and automatic segmentation of serial sections. Semi-automatic alignment algorithm based on the position’s cross-correlation of the anatomical characteristic feature points of two sequential sections. A method combining an automatic segmentation and an image threshold processing was applied to capture the regions and structures of interest. SEM micrograph and 3-D model reconstructed directly in digital microscope were used to evaluate the reliability and accuracy of this strategy. The morphology of 3-D model constructed by serial sections is consistent with the results of SEM micrograph and 3-D model of digital microscope.
Comprehensive Analysis of Temozolomide Treatment for Patients with Glioma

Background: This analysis was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of temozolomide based chemotherapy in treating patients with glioma. Methods: Clinical studies evaluating the efficacy and safety of temozolomide based regimens for patients with glioma were identified using a predefined search strategy. Pooled response rates (RRs) were calculated. Results: In temozolomide based regimens, 5 clinical studies including 152 patients with advanced glioma were considered eligible for inclusion. Four clinical studies included temozolomide. Systematic analysis suggested that, in all patients, pooled CR was 21% (32/152), and PR was 21% (32/152). Grade 3/4 toxicity included neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and anemia. No grade 3 or 4 renal or liver toxicity was observed. No treatment related death occurred with temozolomide based treatment. Conclusion: This systematic analysis suggests that temozolomide based regimens are associated with mild response rate and acceptable toxicity for treatment of glioma patients.

Nano-crystals embedded in glass always have interesting quantum effects, while nano-crystal patterns may have wide potential applications in preparing PIC, OEIC and other types of electronic and optoelectronic devices. A direct current electric field, accompanied by heat treatment, was applied on tellurite or silicate glass sheets. The silver ions in a diffused film were introduced into the glass matrix under a high-voltage electric field, instead of supplied during glass melting. The direct diffusion of metal ions, the nucleation and crystallization of nano-crystals in the glass were well controlled by the electric field accompanied by heat treatment. It was found that silver nano-crystal patterns can be transfer printed into tellurite and silicate glass sheets with both patterned diffusion and patterned crystallization. The role of protease-activated receptors (PARs) in lung tumors is controversial. Although PAR4 is preferentially expressed in human lung tissues, its possible significance in lung cancer has not been defined. The studies reported herein used a combination of clinical observations and molecular methods. Surgically resected lung adenocarcinomas and associated adjacent normal lung tissues were collected and BEAS-2B and NCI-H157 cell lines were grown in tissue culture. PAR4 expression was evaluated by RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, Western blotting and immunohistochemistry analysis. The results showed that PAR4 mRNA expression was generally decreased in lung adenocarcinoma tissues as compared with matched noncancerous tissues (67.7%) and was associated with poor differentiation (p=0.017) and metastasis (p=0.04). Western blotting and immunohistochemical analysis also showed that PAR4 protein levels were mostly decreased in lung adenocarcinoma tissues (61.3%), and were also associated with poor differentiation (p=0.035) and clinical stage (p=0.027). Moreover, PAR4 expression was decreased in NCI-H157 cells as compared with BEAS-2B cells. In conclusion, PAR4 expression is significantly decreased in lung adenocarcinoma, and down-regulation of PAR4 is associated with a more clinically aggressive phenotype. PAR4 may acts as a tumor suppressor in lung adenocarcinoma.

This research studies socio-cultural hegemony change focused on male society through contemporary ideal masculine images of Asian men (especially Korean and Chinese men). Participants were: South Korean men in and around Seoul and Chinese men in Beijing and Shanghai. The youngest survey participants in their 20``s and the oldest in their 40``s were asked about their present men``s appearance images and masculinity as well as asked to evaluate satisfaction with their own style, and interest in fashion trends on a 5-point Likert scale. In this research, an ideal masculinity was tested by 6 characters (traditional masculinity, macho masculinity, androgynous masculinity, adolescent masculinity, trendy masculinity, and general masculinity) as male avatars. Asian men``s consciousness of an ideal masculinity image has moved gradually from traditional masculinity to trendy masculinity, leading to new roles in a socio-cultural agenda. Korean and Chinese men are more interested in appearance and notice fashionable styles to be trendy that follow the latest fashion because most other Asian men reflect a traditional masculinity as an ideal appearance image.
