The purpose of the study is to analyze the significant impacts of expectations, performance, complaints, and fairness that affect consumer satisfaction. The methodology involves reviewing and referencing relevant literature carefully, then proposing a model for customer satisfaction. This study is empirically based on a survey with 50 respondents who work in the field of import and export in the region stretching from the north to the south of Vietnam. The sampling method used in this study is the in-depth interview method. The results show that: (1) expectation has a specific impact on customer satisfaction, (2) performance has a positive impact on customer satisfaction, and (3) complaint which is an intermediary factor between expectation, performance, and fairness has an impact on satisfaction, (4) fairness has a positive effect on satisfaction, in addition, fairness is an extremely important feature when customers choose an import-export service. Research implies that increasing expectations, performance, and fairness results in an improved customer experience and satisfaction when they use the service. It is suggested that the complaint factor continue to be studied and looked into because it still has some effect on satisfaction and is an intermediate variable that changes how the other factors relate to each other.

Hand gesture recognition is an efficient and practical solution for the non-contact human–machine interaction in smart devices. To date, vision-based methods are widely used in this research area, but they are susceptible to light conditions. To address this issue, radar-based gesture recognition using micro-Doppler signatures can be applied as an alternative. Accordingly, the use of a novel densely convolutional neural network model, Dop-DenseNet, is proposed in this paper for improving hand gesture recognition in terms of classification accuracy and latency. The model was designed with cross or skip connections in a dense architecture so that the former features, which can be lost in the forward-propagation process, can be reused. We evaluated our model with different numbers of filter channels and experimented with it using the Dop-Net dataset, with different time lengths of input data. As a result, it was found that the model with 64 3 × 3 filters and 200 time bins of micro-Doppler spectrogram data could achieve the best performance trade-off, with 99.87% classification accuracy and 3.1 ms latency. In comparison, our model remarkably outperformed the selected state-of-the-art neural networks (GoogLeNet, Res- Net-50, NasNet-Mobile, and MobileNet-V2) using the same Dop-Net dataset.

A novel all aromatic 2,7-naphthalene-based liquid crystalline epoxy (LCE) was synthesized successfully in this study. The thermal transition of the synthesized LCE was characterized by wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and polarized optical microscopy (POM). The characterization showed that the LCE had a low melting temperature of 65 oC and was in a nematic state in temperature range of 65-75 oC. The curing reaction between LCE and 4,4'-diaminodiphenylsulfone (DDS) was investigated, using 2-methylimidazole (2MI) as the reaction catalyst. Upon the addition of 1 phr of 2MI, the curing temperature was dramatically decreased from 227 to 128 oC, which is 99 oC lower than that of a reaction without the use of a catalyst system.

The study aims to assess the impact of destination image, satisfaction and loyalty of tourists at mountain destinations in Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam. The study involves questionnaire surveys and multivariate data analysis methods (Cronbach Alpha test, EFA, CFA, SEM). Research results from 500 tourists in the mountain destinations of Thanh Hoa province demonstrate that all factors have imposed a positive impact on tourist satisfaction, specifically: The most influential factor is Natural features, followed by Human factors while the least influential factor is Infrastructure; On the other hand, research results also demonstrate that satisfaction has a substantial impact on tourist loyalty. Based on the research results, we also proposed some key solutions to enhance the destination image, thereby contributing to increased satisfaction and loyalty of tourists, including: (i) Promoting Natural Tourism Resources. (ii) Raising Awareness of Environmental Protection. (iii) Building Local Cultural Identity. (iv) Building Exclusive Tourist Products. (5) Strengthening the Support of Local Authorities for Tourism Activities. (vi) Developing a Price Policy.

Phytochemical investigation of the stem barks of Canarium bengalense (Burseraceace) resulted in the isolation of a new flavone glycoside (5) together with six known compounds (1-4, 6, and 7). The chemical structure of the new compound was elucidated as 3'-hydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavone-5-O-α-L-arabinofuranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside by means of 1D and 2D NMR (1H-1H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC) and MS analyses. To evaluate the in vitro cytoprotective effect, the isolates (1-7) were tested against hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)-induced damage in primary cultured hepatocytes. The viability of hepatocytes was increased by treatment with each compound, except compound 1. Compounds 3, 4, and 7 exerted cytoprotective effects comparable to curcumin, the positive control. Our results suggest that the cytoprotective constituents of C. bengalense may contribute to its traditional use in the treatment of tumor and liver damage.
Hydroxyapatite Nano-Rods/Chitosan Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode for Cu(II) Ions Determination

In this work, we propose a simple approach for fabrication of an electrochemical sensor for copper (II) ion determination in aqueous solution based on using a hydroxyapatite nano-rods/chitosan (HA/CS) nanocomposite coated on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface. Firstly, hydroxyapatite (HA) nano-rods has been synthesized by a simple precipitation reactions using Ca(OH)2 slurry and orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4) as precursors. After that, as-synthesized HA was dispersed into chitosan (CS) matrix to HA/CS-modify GCE by a drop casting technique. Characteristic of HA and HA/CS coating on GCE have been analysed by Transmission/Scanning Electron Microscope (TEM/SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-Transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) techniques. Electrochemical activities of neat GCE, CS-modified GCEs (GCE/CS) and HA/CS-modified GCE (GCE/HA/CS) have been evaluated in sodium acetate (NaAc-HAc) buffer with presence/absence of Ni2+, Co2+ or Cu2+ ions to test whether sensitive and selective of these developed Cu2+ sensors. Evaluated results demonstrated that GCE/HA/CS sensor has a sensitivity to Cu2+ ion of 7.688 ± 0.5324 µA mM− 1, it is the most sensitive to Cu2+ ions compared with GCE or GCE/CS. In additional, proposed Cu2+ electrochemical sensor has been applied to determine Cu2+ ions concentration in tap water with a high recoveries was found.
Assessment of stress-strain model for UHPC confined by steel tube stub columns
Hoang, An Le,Fehling, Ekkehard Techno-Press 2017 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.63 No.3
Ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) has recently been applied as an alternative to conventional concrete in construction due to its extremely high compressive and tensile strength, and enhanced durability. However, up to date, there has been insufficient information regarding the confinement behavior of UHPC columns. Therefore, this study aims to perform an assessment of axial stress-strain model for UHPC confined by circular steel tube stub columns. The equations for calculating the confined peak stress and its corresponding strain of confined concrete in existing models suggested by Johansson (2002), Sakino et al. (2004), Han et al. (2005), Hatzigeorgiou (2008) were modified based on the regression analysis of test results in Schneider (2006) in order to increase the prediction accuracy for the case of confined UHPC. Furthermore, a new axial stress-strain model for confined UHPC was developed. To examine the suitability of the modified models and the proposed model for confined UHPC, axial stress-strain curves derived from the proposed models were compared with those obtained from previous test results. After validating the proposed model, an extensive parametric study was undertaken to investigate the effects of diameter-to-thickness ratio, steel yield strength and concrete compressive strength on the complete axial stress-strain curves, the strength and strain enhancement of UHPC confined by circular steel tube stub columns.
