A Simple Reversible Watermarking Scheme Based on Difference Expansion
Chao-Ming Wu,Cheng-Kang Wu,Houshou Chen 대한전자공학회 2009 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2009 No.7
A simple reversible watermarking scheme based on block-wise difference expansion is proposed. Pixels in a block are expanded with respect to a common reference point. The maximum capacity will exceed 0.5 bpp if the block size is larger than 2. According to local variances of the reference points, blocks introducing small distortion by difference expanding are selected firstly to embed watermark. In Tian’s difference expansion algorithm, the embedding of the location map causes large overhead cost, apparently in low payload region. A good lossless compression algorithm is required to reduce this cost but the complexity is increased. In the proposed algorithm, a simple all 0 pattern is used to distinguish between non-expandable and expandable blocks. In this way, the location map is no longer necessary and the complexity of the scheme will be reduced.
A Novel Robust-imperceptible Watermarking Scheme
Chao-Ming Wu,Chen-Gom Wu 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
An easy spatial-domain watermark embedding scheme was proposed. The robustness is enhanced by embedding a watermark signal with large energy. The PSNR of watermarked image is low due to the high intensity of watermark signal. Using proper sort/inverse sort operations on the embedded image, a new high PSNR watermarked image can be produced and the imperceptibility requirement can be satisfied.
A Study on Improve Share Image of Visual Cryptography
Chao-Ming Wu,Wen-Jan Chen,Yu-Yen Shen 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
The visual cryptography is a method of encrypt secret image in to two or several share images and use the mankind's visual scheme to decipher. The sizes of the two share images produced by our method will be different. So, the transmission bandwidth and storage space needed are less than the traditional visual cryptography system. In addition the security of the data is increased.
A 4th-Order Wideband Sigma Delta Modulator Using Linear System Theory Technique
Ming-yuan Ren,Yong-sheng Zhang,Wei-kun Wu,Zhen-xi Bao,Zi-wei Zhao,Chao Li,Hong-guo Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.1
A 4th-Order Wideband Sigma Delta modulator structure is proposed in this paper, which uses linear system theory technique. There are many implementation techniques to improve the performance of Sigma Delta ADCs, such as noise coupling, differential sampling and dynamic elements matching. An extra loop delay is needed to be added in the system. This paper explains how to make the modulator stable with the addition of feed-forward and feed-back branches which are used to compensate the extra loop delay. Next, we restore the signal and noise transfer functions. A 4th-Order Wideband delta-sigma modulator have been designed and simulated to verify the method.

Pemetrexed is an antifolate agent which has been used for treating malignant pleural mesothelioma and non small lung cancer in the clinic as a chemotherapeutic agent. In this study, pemetrexed inhibited cell growth and induced G1 phase arrest in the A549 cell line. To explore the molecular mechanisms of pemetrexed involved in cell growth, we used a two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2-DE) proteomics approach to analyze proteins changed in A549 cells treated with pemetrexed. As a result, twenty differentially expressed proteins were identified by ESI-Q-TOF MS/MS analysis in A549 cells incubated with pemetrexed compared with non-treated A549 cells. Three key proteins (GAPDH, HSPB1 and EIF4E) changed in pemetrexed treated A549 cells were validated by Western blotting. Accumulation of GAPDH and decrease of HSPB1 and EIF4E which induce apoptosis through inhibiting phosphorylation of Akt were noted. Expression of p-Akt in A549 cells treated with pemetrexed was reduced. Thus, pemetrexed induced apoptosis in A549 cells through inhibiting the Akt pathway.

Effects of light on phenolic compounds and antioxidant activities during germination of soybean seeds were studied. Soybean seeds were germinated in the presence and absence of light. Chlorophylls and morphological characteristics of sprouts were evaluated daily. Antioxidant activities were determined using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) and ferric reducing activity power methods. Morphological characteristics of light-grown sprouts were superior to dark-grown sprouts and the metabolism of phenolic compounds was regulated by light. Light treatment improved accumulation of phenolic compounds in soybean sprouts and increased antioxidant activities. The optimum harvest time of light-grown sprouts was on the seventh day when sprouts achieved the best nutraceutical value. Green sprouts can serve as a good vegetable source for the human diet.
