Recently PZT is used in ultra precision mechanism field. PZT itself has a small driving range although it has a high resolution. Many methods, such as inchworm, impact driving, inertial sliding method, etc., have been applied for moving range expansion. In this study, a new actuating mechanism for rotational motion with two driving PZT is proposed. The Fixed-Fixed beam support is applied for compensation of the difference in driving force between expansion and contraction of PZT. The behavior and design parameters of the proposed mechanism are analyzed for improving performance.
Enhancement of the Hall Mobility in Hydrogen-ion-irradiated ZnO Films

RF-sputtered ZnO films were irradiated with hydrogen ions by using an ion accelerator at 110 keV. The physical and the electrical characteristics of the irradiated ZnO films were studied as functions of the hydrogen-ion irradiation dose. The Hall measurement indicated that the carrier concentration had small changes regardless of irradiated hydrogen amount, but the mobility was dramatically enhanced after irradiation of 10<sup>15</sup> atoms/cm<sup>2</sup>. Even when the irradiated hydrogen dose was increased, the crystalline structure had no transformation and the composition was preserved. On the other hand, the electronic structure, measured by using X-ray absorption spectroscopy, exhibited a modification of the molecular orbital structure in the ZnO films irradiated at doses above 10<sup>15</sup> atoms/cm<sup>2</sup>. These distortions of the molecular orbital in the conduction band could lead to a mobility enhancement without a structural transformation.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In applying Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology, pipelines are an economic choice for transporting CO<SUB>2</SUB>. However, it is difficult to plan the pipeline network in detail since various factors, such as mountain regions and high population density increase the cost of pipeline installation. Also, uncertainty of the reservoir capacity and national policies is important factors in practical pipeline deployment, especially in critical conditions mentioned above.</P> <P>In this study, the development of an optimal CCS pipeline network in critical conditions, and the effect of practical design conditions on the network, are studied using mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) modeling and optimization. South Korea is selected as a case study and optimal CCS networks are obtained according to four scenarios developed with regard to reservoir capacity and policy options. A rigorous cost model was developed, and subdivided penalty factors were applied to consider the drastic change in geographical conditions. The four scenarios were evaluated and the effect of the considered factors on the timely development of the CCS network was analyzed.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Framework for CCS network design in critical conditions is proposed. </LI> <LI> Effect of reservoir uncertainty and CCS policy options is analyzed. </LI> <LI> Policy options affect the network design more than reservoir uncertainty. </LI> </UL> </P>
A Study on the Dynamic Analysis and Control Algorithm for a Motor Driven Power Steering System

The power steering system for vehicles is becoming essential for supporting the steering efforts of the drivers, especially for the parking lot maneuver Although hydraulic power steering has been widely used for years, its efficiency is not high enough. The problems associated with a hydraulic howe. steering system can be solved by a motor driven power steering (MDPS) system. In this study, a dynamic model and a control algorithm for the ball screw type of MDPS system have been derived and analyzed by using the method of discrete modeling technology. To improve steering feel and power steering characteristics, two derivative gains are added to the conventional power boosting control algorithm. Through simulations, the effects of the control gain on the steering angle gain were verified in the frequency domain. The steering returnability and steering torque phase lag in on-center handling test were also evaluated in the time domain.

Local festivals, which are used as a means of creating regional brand values and various added value based on them, are required to form an cooperation system based on partnerships between interest groups according to the characteristics of local festivals in which various interest groups participate. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to consider the importance of festival partnership and festival governance by identifying the influential relationship of partnership of local festival on festival operational performance in festival governance and organizational performance aspect. In order to achieve the purpose of study, this study conducted a literature survey and empirical analysis. According to the result, partner cooperation among the factors of festival partnership and cooperation among the factors of festival governance have the greatest influence on festival operational performance. Therefore, it implies that cooperation between interest groups participating in local festivals contributes to the improvement of festival operational performance. This study is considered to be useful for improving organization of local festival and festival operational performance.
유체-구조 연성 해석을 위한 common-refinement 기반 불일치 격자 경계면에서의 정보 전달 기법 연구

본 연구는 유체-고체 연성 해석이 활발히 진행되고 있는 고체로켓의 3차원 연소실 상경계면 형상에 대해 정보 전달 기법 중 하나인 공통세분 기법의 적용을 목적으로 수행되었다. 본 기법은 불일치하는 경계면간 정보 전달에도 보존성과 정확도를 동시에 만족시킬 수 있다는 장점을 갖는다. 기법 구현은 상경계면에 공통표면을 구성하고 특정 오차를 최소화 시키는 최소화 내삽법을 적용하는 과정으로 수행되었다. 이를 바탕으로 다양한 다차원 상경계면 형상에서 연속 및 불연속 함수를 이용한 정보 전달 실험을 수행하였고, 다른 기법들과 해석 결과를 비교하였다. During multi-physics or multi-phase simulations accompanying fluid- structure- thermal interaction, data transfer problems always arise along non- matching interfaces caused by different computational meshes for each physical domain. Common- refinement scheme, among many available methods, is attractive since it is known to yield conservative and accurate data transfer for non- matching interface cases. This is particularly important in simulating compressible unsteady fluid- structure- thermal interaction inside solid propellant rockets, where grid size along solid- fluid interfaces is substantially different. From this perspective, we examine performances of common- refinement- based data transfer scheme between structured quadrilateral (structure part) and unstructured triangular (fluid part) meshes by comparing computed results with other data transfer methods.
