A Dual-Band Dual-Polarized Antenna for Small Base Station Applications

This paper proposes a dual-band dual-polarized antenna which can operate at both the 1.71–2.69 GHz band (3G/4G band) and the 3.3–3.8 GHz band (5G NR band 78). The main radiator (crossed dipoles) is meticulously designed to obtain the two desired bands of interest, and the fan-shaped feeding structures are used to obtain good impedance matching. The measured low band and high band operations was 49.8% (1.69–2.81 GHz, VSWR ≤ 1.5) and 14.8% (3.32–3.85 GHz, VSWR ≤ 2), respectively. The measurement results also show that this antenna has good isolation, stable radiation pattern, and good XPD.

The effect of various levels of proteins, sulfates, and molecular weight (Mw) of a sulfated-glycoprotein (NF₃) from a sea cucumber, Stichopus japonicus, on nitric oxide (NO) releasing capacity from RAW 264.7 cells was investigated. The NF₃ derivatives had various amounts of proteins (4.8∼11.2%) and sulfates (6.8∼25.2%) as well as different Mw (640.3×10³∼109.2×10³ g/㏖). NF3 was able to stimulate RAW 264.7 cells to release NO with lower protein contents, indicating that the protein moiety was not an important factor to stimulate macrophages. On the other hand, the NO inducing capacity was significantly reduced with decreased levels of sulfates and Mw, implying that sulfates and Mw played a pivotal role in activating RAW 264.7 cells. It was not clear why sulfates and a certain range of Mw were essential for stimulating macrophages. It appeared that certain levels of sulfates and Mw of sulfated-glycoproteins were required to bind to the surface receptors on RAW 264.7 cells.

Dual Mode Dual-Band Circularly Polarized Modified Square Ring Antenna

This paper proposes a dual-band circularly polarized (CP) modifi ed square ring antenna. The resonate structure of this antenna consists of a modifi ed square ring patch and a ground plane, and the antenna is fed by a modifi ed L probe with two unequal branches. A low order CP mode (TM 11 Mode) and a high order CP mode (TM 12 Mode) are both excited in this simple structure for the dual band operation. The truncated corners of the ring and the embedded corners of the slot are used to obtain the dual band CP operation. The overall size of the antenna is 150 × 150 × 11.7 mm 3 . The measured 10-dB return loss bandwidths are 13.0% for the lower 2.45 GHz band and 37.4% for the upper 5.8 GHz band. The measured 3-dB axial ratio bandwidths are 2.1% and 5.8% for the lower band and upper band respectively. The measured peak gains of the lower band and upper band are 8.19 dBic and 9.44 dBic respectively.

To explore the ductility, a novel Mg–8.41Li–1.80Al–1.77Zn (designated as LAZ822) alloy was fabricated by casting,hot rolling and friction stir processing. The maximum elongation to failure of 489.5% was demonstrated in a fine-grainedLAZ822 alloy at a temperature of 573 K and an initial strain rate of 1.67 × 10−4 s−1. The true stress exponent of 2, the grainsize exponent of 2 and the activation energy of 89.44–121.14 kJ/mol confirm that grain boundary sliding controlled by latticediffusion governs the rate-controlling deformation process at the temperatures of 523 and 573 K. The viscous resistancemodels of dual phases were newly established. At 573 K, the lattice viscous resistance of the α-Mg phase is 2644 times aslarge as that of the β-Li phase, whereas the grain boundary viscous resistance of the α-Mg phase is 3.3 times as large as thatof the β-Li phase. Some α-Mg grains remain in an equiaxed state while the other α-Mg grains become connected at elevatedtemperatures. This experimental evidence corroborates the existence of dynamic grain connection growth. Cavity growthmechanism maps were constructed. The maps reveal that power-law cavity growth or strain controlled cavity growth is thepredominant cavity growth mechanism.

The first example of lead compound from Pb(NO_3)_2 and H3L N-heterocyclic ligand (H_3L = (HO_2C)_2(C_3N_2)(C_3H_7)CH_2(C_6H_4)(C_6H_3)CO_2H), [Pb_4(L')_4]·5H_2O 1 (L' = OOC(C_3H_7)(C_3N_2)CH_2(C_6H_4)(C_6H_3)COO), has been obtained under hydrothermal condition by decarboxylation, and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TGDTA,and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 possesses a rare two-dimensional upper-lower offset terrace-like layer structure. In 1, crystallographic distinct Pb(II) ion adopts five-coordination geometry, and two lattice water molecules occupy the voids between 2-D layers. Results of solid state fluorescence measurement indicate that the emission band 458 nm may be assigned to π*-n and π*-π electronic transitions within the aromatic systems of the ligand L', however, the emission bands centred at 555 nm, 600 nm and 719 nm may be derived from phosphorescent emission (λexcitation = 390 nm).

The incidence of gastric cancer worldwide, and in particular in developing countries, has shown a marked increase. Poor prognosis of gastric cancer patients occurs due to the rapid metastasis of the disease via the lymphatic and blood vessels. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression and the clinical significance of D2-40 and CD34 in human gastric cancer. D2-40 and CD34 expression wasdetected in 1,072 cases of Chinese patients with gastric carcinoma using immunohistochemistry. The lymphatic vessel density (LVD) and microvessel density (MVD) were calculated and analyzed and the correlation with the clinicopathological factors and prognosis was determined. The LVD and MVD of the gastric cancer cases were significantly higher compared to those of normal tissues (P < 0.05). The expression of D2-40-LVD and CD34-MVD in the malignancies were positively related to the age, tumor size, invasion depth, lymphatic metastasis and pathological tumor-node-metastasis (pTNM) (P < 0.05); However, no statistically significant difference was identified between them with the patient gender (P > 0.05). Up-regulation of D2-40 and CD34 expression was significantly correlated with the poor survival rate in univariate and multivariate analyses. The LVD marked by D2-40 and the MVD marked by CD34 were positively correlated to the clinicopathological factors of the malignancies and may play important role in the development and progression of gastric cancer.
