An analytical method for the simultaneous determination of veterinary medicines (amprolium and decoquinate)in cattle and chicken's muscle by HPLC/UV-vis was established. Samples were extracted by a HLB (Hydrophilic-Liphophilic Balance) cartridge with acetonitrile and methanol. Prior to HPLC injection, a mixture solvent (Water:MeOH, 1:1) was utilized as a reconstitution solvent. Chromatographic separation was achieved with a C18 column (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) using gradient elution with 20 mM HFBA and MeOH:ACN (1:1.8). The calibration curves from the spiked blank matrix showed good linearity (above r2=0.997) in the concentration range of 0.13-12.0 mg kg−1. The relative recovery (accuracy) and limit of quantitation (LOQ)were in the range of 78.5-107.1% and 0.13-0.42 mg kg−1, respectively. The developed method can be used to determine under the MRL (Maximum Residue Limits) levels of veterinary medicines in animal tissues.
Antenna Grouping Based Feedback Compression for FDD-Based Massive MIMO Systems

<P>Recent works on massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) have shown that a potential breakthrough in capacity gains can be achieved by deploying a very large number of antennas at the base station. In order to achieve the performance that massive MIMO systems promise, accurate transmit-side channel state information (CSI) should be available at the base station. While transmit-side CSI can be obtained by employing channel reciprocity in time division duplexing (TDD) systems, explicit feedback of CSI from the user terminal to the base station is needed for frequency division duplexing (FDD) systems. In this paper, we propose an antenna grouping based feedback reduction technique for FDD-based massive MIMO systems. The proposed algorithm, dubbed antenna group beamforming (AGB), maps multiple correlated antenna elements to a single representative value using predesigned patterns. The proposed method modifies the feedback packet by introducing the concept of a header to select a suitable group pattern and a payload to quantize the reduced dimension channel vector. Simulation results show that the proposed method achieves significant feedback overhead reduction over conventional approach performing the vector quantization of whole channel vector under the same target sum rate requirement.</P>
Effective Analys is of Dicyclanil in Lamb and Chicken Muscle using HPLCUV/ Vis and LC/MS/MS

The authors describe a method for monitoring dicyclanil levels in lamb and chicken muscle tissues. The devised procedure involves dicyclanyl extraction by SPE and its detection HPLC-UV/Vis and LC/MS/MS. The method was found to have LOD and LOQ values of 0.02 mg kg.1 and 0.05~0.06 mg kg.1, respectively. The intraday precision and an accuracy of spiked samples were found to have 2.3~10.4 RSD% and 80.9~105.7%, respectively.

A long core of 23.6 m was acquired in the Korean continental margin of the western East Sea. The core site of the DH-1 is located in the offshore of the Donghae City and the water depth is 357.8 m deep. In this area, the paleomagnetism and magnetostratigraphy were firstly reported using 420 samples collected from the long-core sediments. Based on the inclination distribution of the depositional remanent magnetization, the DH-1 core could be divided into two upper and lower units at the boundary of 1750 cm below seafloor. The upper unit is characterized by a positive polarity, whereas the lower unit by a negative polarity. The boundary of the upper and lower units was interpreted as the Brunhes-Matuyama boundary (778 ka). The chemical components of tephra layer at 2014 cm below seafloor belong to alkaline series, plotted between the tephra components of the Mount Baekdu and Ulleung Island.
A Vector Perturbation with User Selection for Multiuser MIMO Downlink

<P>Recent works on multiuser MIMO study have shown that the linear growth of capacity in single user MIMO system can be translated to the multiuser MIMO scenario as well. In this paper, we propose a method pursuing performance gain of vector perturbation in multiuser downlink systems. Instead of employing the maximum number of mobile users for communication, we use small part of them as virtual users for improving reliability of users participating communication. By controlling parameters of the virtual users including information and perturbation vector, we obtain considerable improvement in the effective SNR. Simulation results on the realistic multiuser MISO and MIMO downlink systems show that the proposed method brings substantial performance gain over the standard vector perturbation with marginal overhead in computations.</P>
Airport Gate Assignment Problem under Uncertainty

In this thesis, we study the airport gate assignment problem under uncertainty in arrival and departure times of flights which may cause overlaps between flights assigned to the same gate. In this respect, we establish a gate assignment schedule where overlaps between flights are prevented with probabilistic guarantees, while maximizing the total gate assignment preferences. We propose a network-based integer programming model with chance constraints that limit the probability of an overlap occurrence in each gate less than a given threshold value, for which the probability that a pair of flights overlaps is predicted based on historical data. We also propose a strengthened integer programming model for the problem based on the concept of gate-assignment patterns, and devise a branch-and-price algorithm to solve the model. Computational experiments are conducted with real and artificial instances which are based on the real data of Incheon International Airport in 2019. The results show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm as well as the robustness of the derived schedules compared to the existing approaches.

A 61-year-old woman came to the hospital with dyspnea and pleural effusion on chest radiography. She underwent repeated thoracentesis, transbronchial lung biopsy, bronchoalveolar lavage, and thoracoscopic pleural biopsy with talc pleurodesis, but diagnosis of her was uncertain. Positron emission tomography showed multiple lymphadenopathies, so she underwent endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration of mediastinal lymph nodes. Here, we report a case of malignant pleural mesothelioma that was eventually diagnosed by endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration. This is an unusual and first case in Korea.
