A number of Humanoids are introduced including ASIMO, HRP-2 Promet, Johnniee, Babybot, and KHR-2. Most researches are focused on the development of stable biped walking of Humanoids and it is not easy to endow an Humanoid with intelligence and service technology until now in the sense that the operation time of a Humanoid is limited less than 30 minutes even in the case that the battery is used only for the control of actuators in a Humanoid. In this paper, a brief survey on Humanoids is proposed and the concept of 'Network-based Humanoid', a Humanoid being able to provide intelligence for human-friendly services using ubiquitous networks, is introduced briefly.

The cavity resonant properties of planar metal-dielectric layered structures with optically dense dielectric media are studied with the aim of realizing omnidirectional and polarization-insensitive operation. The angle-dependent coupling between free-space and cavity modes are revealed to be a key leverage factor in realizing nearly perfect absorbers well-matched to a wide range of incidence angles. We establish comprehensive analyses of the relationship between the structural and optical properties by means of theoretical modeling with numerical simulation results. The presented work is expected to provide a simple and cost-effective solution for light absorption and detection applications that exploit planar metal-dielectric optical devices.

Nipple eczema in 15-year-old boy with atopic dermatitis
( You Bum Song ),( Ji Young Yoo ),( Moo Kyu Suh ),( Jae Hong Kim ),( Jong Im Lee ) 대한피부과학회 2015 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.67 No.1
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronically relapsing skin disorder which is most common in childhiood. The common manifestations of AD is vary according to patient’s age and disease activity. The nipple involvement in AD is rare, but Hanifin and Raika indicated that it is specific indicator of AD. And nipple eczema predominated in girl. Nipple eczema in male with AD has been reported only 3 cases by Korean dermatological literature. We report a case of nipple eczema in 15-year-old boy with AD. He presented with localized pruritic lichenified eythematous patches with exudative erosions on the both nipples and areolas. He was diagnosed with AD at age of 4, but there are no other lesions or signs of scratching. Histopathologic examination revealed marked acanthosis with patial erosion, spongiosis, exocytosis of small lymphocytes and some eosinophils, and infiltrate of small lymphocytes and some eosinophils around dilated dermal vessels. The patient was treated with antihistamine and steroid. The skin lesions improved 1 months after treatment, and relapse has not been observed 3 months of follow up.

We report room-temperature lasing from an optically pumped subwavelength-scale cylindrical InGaAsP pillar surrounded by circular Bragg reflectors on a metal substrate with a dielectric spacer layer. By taking advantage of wide in-plane photonic bandgaps and proper vertical antiresonances, three dielectric Bragg pairs produce a sufficient optical feedback capable of low threshold lasing from the fundamental TE011 mode. A large spontaneous emission coupling into the lasing mode is obtained from the cavity-enhanced Purcell effects and effective suppression of nonlasing modes.
