Vol.83 No.-
This paper examines the traps of the giant subject, the problem of ideology, the individual’s desires, and intertwined symptoms in the age of hyperconnecticity in the three novels of Yoon Yihyung. It further discusses the dilemma of connectivity and the possibility of (re)birth of the subject as a hyperconnector. Perfect Voyage shows the danger of strong connectivity built up by capitalist desires and the deprivation of subjectivity in the age of hyperconnectivity. It also shows the possibility of a new subject creating the meaning of experience and existence by deflecting strong connectivity. The Duel examines a subject who must constantly face an inner otherness in order not to be immersed in strong connectivity by dealing with replica in terms of symptoms. It refers to the subject of entering into the relationship with the other and refers to the subject that attempts simultaneous transformation with the object. Rose Garden Lighting Machine, which focuses on the case of a creative machine in which big data and hyperconnectivity technology are intensive and human conversational writing, shows that the subject is a hyper-connected state of things without hierarchies from the beginning. In addition, hyperconnective subjectification is possible when “affirming oneself and the other as a person who shares the common world” and opening oneself to multiple worlds and multiple realities. Yoon’s novel emphasizes the ethics of otherness based on “solidarity.” This refers to changing oneself through internal otherness and, at the same time, reaching out to the other and providing an opportunity for otherization. In addition, this is a practical movement by a subject that can connect while crossing differences without being subordinated to the mechanisms of capitalism or ideology, and it is known as a post-relationship in the age of hyperconnectivity.

The purpose of this article is to explore the changing spatiality and its therapeutic meaning in Park Min-gyu’s novels. To this end, this paper focused on the relationships between ‘space and time’, ‘space and imagination’, and ‘space and human beings.’ As a result, in Gapeul Gosiwon Sojourn, it was possible to explore the changing meaning of space and the healing value of topophilia without hierarchy through the relationship between space and time. In Castella, it was possible to examine the healing power of fantasy to be reborn from a passive subject to a productive subject through the relationship between space and imagination. In Gate of the Morning, it was possible to confirm the accidental creation of space that occurs in human relationships and the cracks in the subject caused by this. And through this novel, the changing subject and the possibility of a new world can be confirmed. As such, Park Min-gyu’s novels are set in the barren urban spaces of the young generation, such as gosiwons, rooftop rooms, studios, and convenience stores. However, the space in his novels goes beyond the limits of physical space, and is a space of variation and creation. In addition, the unique narrative technique of Park Min-gyu’s novel, creates a space for the reader’s thoughts and self-narration to intervene, thereby providing a healing space. The expanded discussion on the therapeutic effect of novel space is left for the next task.
