        선메디 VR자연명상 프로그램이 팬데믹을 경험한 대학생들의 긍정적 사고, 사회심리적 스트레스, 사회적 걱정에 미치는 영향

        Objectives This study aimed to investigate the effects of a VR natural meditation program, combining Seon meditation and innovative VR technology, on positive thinking, social psychological stress, and social concern among university students who experienced stress and emotional exhaustion due to social distancing measures. Methods An experimental study was conducted on 34 university students who had undergone a complete suspension of school for more than one semester as a result of social distancing measures. The control group did not receive any intervention, while the experimental group participated in a VR natural meditation program consisting of four sessions over a two-week period. To evaluate the program's effectiveness, positive thinking, social psychological stress, and social concern were assessed in both groups, and the results were compared and analyzed using covariance analysis (ANCOVA). Results The study reports some significant findings. Firstly, the experimental group demonstrated a notable increase in positive thinking following the VR natural meditation experience. In addition, the levels of social psychological stress and social concern significantly decreased among the participants. In their self-evaluation reports after undergoing the VR treatment, the participants reported enhanced focus, strengthened coping skills, increased confidence in managing daily challenges, and a more positive outlook towards uncertain situations instead of being negatively overwhelmed by their consequences. Conclusions These results suggest that the SEONMEDI VR Natural Meditation Program holds potential as an intervention to promote the psychological well-being of university students who have faced social disconnection and emotional exhaustion caused by social disasters.

        Formative Characteristics of the Soudang (素宇堂) Historic House Byeoldang Garden in Uiseong

        Background and objective: This study aimed to estimate the creation period and creators of Soudang historic houseByeoldang (Annexe) Garden (素宇堂古宅 別堂庭園, Unification as ‘SB Garden’ from now on) located in Uiseong-gun,Gyeongsangbuk-do through a literature research and field survey, and establish the construction style and value of thegarden through research and analysis of its spatial and visual characteristics and garden design. The findings are as follows. Methods: The research method was a combination of literature study, field survey, and comparative review. Thearchitectural history of SB Garden were analyzed through a literature survey, and the spatial configuration of Soudanggotaekand the visual and planting design characteristics of SB Garden were derived through field survey. Also the form and styleof SB Garden were identified through comparative studies between Japanese garden style cases, and Japanese gardenscreated in Korea during the late Joseon and Japanese colonial period. Results: It is estimated that SB Garden was built between 1890 and 1920, during the late Joseon Dynasty and the earlydays of Japanese colonial rule, by Lee Jang-seop (1854-1907) and Lee Hong (1887-1972). Comprehensively consideringthe form of its small hills, the shape of the pond and the introduction of yarimizu, the presentation of oddly-shaped stonesand stone structures (stone settings), the introduction of stone bridges and stone lanterns, the strolling route and steppingstones, and the tree species introduced and their planting methods, the hills of SB Garden are different in form andtechnique from seokgasan created in Korean traditional gardens. Through the hills, the intention of making a garden isdetected, with the motif of “garden of cranes and turtles.”Conclusion: The foundation from which SB Garden can be considered a Korean traditional garden is very weak, and thisgarden is evaluated as a modern garden completed by introducing a Japanese garden style in modern times. Specifically,SB Garden is considered to be a stroll-style garden that enables users to appreciate it by connecting the three gardens withstepping stones and stone bridges, including the garden of cranes and turtles (a sort of pond garden), the tea gardencentered on the Byeoldang (Annexe), and the stone garden.

        선메디 VR자연명상 개발 및 사이버 멀미, 실재감 연구

        This study aimed to develop a VR natural meditation application called "SEONMEDI" that utilizes a form of Korean Seon meditation in a virtual reality(VR) setting to manage and treat psychological disorders during times of acute distress. The study investigated the user experience of Seonmedi to examine its potential role in the future of digital therapeutics. The study utilized four virtual environments that featured areas of outstanding natural beauty in South Korea, rendered with 360-degree real-life photography. Sixteen university students participated in the research, checking in twice a week. Researchers measured quality indicators, such as instances of simulator sickness, degree of "presence," and volunteer satisfaction. First, the study found that the simulator induced very few instances of simulator sickness in the volunteers. Second, volunteers recorded high scores for "presence" throughout their VR natural meditation sessions. Finally, users reported very high satisfaction scores. As a result, SEONMEDI VR natural meditation is recommended as a promising alternative treatment intervention in the field of digital therapeutics. 이 연구는 우리 고유의 선(仙)명상과 가상현실(VR) 기술을 결합하여 사회적 위기 상황 속에서 정신 질환의 관리와 치료를 위한 VR자연명상과 애플리케이션 ‘선메디’를 개발하고, 디지털 치료제로서의 발전 가능성을 확인하기 위해 사용자 경험을 조사하였다. 한국의 자연 풍경을 360도 실사 촬영하는 방식으로 4개의 가상 자연을 구현하였으며, 품질에 대한 지표를 확인하기 위하여 대학생 16명을 대상으로 2주간 2회씩 VR자연명상을 체험하게 한 후, 사이버 멀미, 실재감, 만족도 검사를 각각 실시하였고, 평균 및 표준편차를 비교하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 선메디 VR자연명상 체험 시 사이버 멀미로 인한 불편감이 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, VR자연명상의 실재감 평균이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, VR자연명상의 만족도 점수가 매우 만족하는 것으로 조사되었다. 이에 따라 디지털 치료제의 영역에서 선메디 VR자연명상을 활용한 치료 개입이 새로운 대안이 될 수 있음을 제안하였다.

        Objectives This study examined the effects of VR natural meditation program, a digital therapeutics technology, on Korean university students who experienced psychological difficulties due to social distancing measures during the pandemic. The intervention involved combining beautiful, natural scenery with Korean Seon meditation, and its effects on participants were measured, including changes in heart rate variability, levels of perceived stress and self-compassion scores. Methods To this end, 34 university students who were subject to social distancing were wirelessly assigned to the control group and the experimental group, and no special treatment was given to the control group. To evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention, the study employed a pre- and post-heart rate variability (HRV) test on the experimental group every session and analyzed it using a paired t-test. Additionally, pre- and post-perceived stress and self-help tests were conducted on both the control and experimental groups, and the results were compared and analyzed through covariance analysis (ANCOVA). Results The study found that the heart rate variability of the experimental group increased significantly every session Furthermore, the experimental group demonstrated significantly improved perceived stress and self-help scores compared to the control group after the VR natural meditation experience. Following the meditation, participants reported that they felt relieved of the pressures of daily life, including their studies and interpersonal relationships. They also reported increased levels of relaxation of body and mind, in addition to lower overall stress. Conclusions Based on these findings, SEONMEDI VR Natural Meditation Program is recommended as a promising intervention in the support of university students experiencing learning deficits and psychological difficulties in the aftermath of the pandemic.

        와인명상 프로그램이 중년 여성의 알아차림 주의자각, 자아존중감, 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

        목적 이 연구는 중년 여성들에게 한국 고유의 선명상법과 서양의 와인 문화를 결합하여 발전시킨 와인명상 프로그램을 실시한 후 알아차림 주의자각, 자아존중감, 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 충북 Y군의 지역 사업인 와인 명상프로그램에 참여한 중년 여성 9명을 대상으로 프로그램을 7주간 120분씩 7회기 실시하였다. 연구방법은 프로그램의 효과성 검증을 위하여 사전과 사후에 알아차림 주의자각, 자아존중감, 삶의 질 검사를 각각 실시하였으며, 윌콕슨 부호 순위 검정(Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test)과 프로그램 만족도의 평균 및 자기보고 응답을 통해 결과를 분석하였다. 결과 연구결과 첫째, 중년 여성의 알아차림 주의자각, 자아존중감, 삶의 질 점수가 프로그램 적용 이후 유의미하게 향상되었다. 둘째, 프로그램의 만족도 평균은 매우 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 와인명상 전후 자기보고 결과, 참여자들은 자신에 대해 긍정적인 자세를 가지며, 스스로 존경받을 가치가 있는 존재라고 느끼게 되었다고 보고하였다. 결론 이에 따라 전염병의 세계적인 유행이라는 위기상황을 극복하고 비대면 사회로의 전환에 따른 중년 여성들의 생활스트레스에 대처하기 위한 와인명상 프로그램의 효과와 적용방안을 제언하였다. Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a program combining wine and meditation on the awareness, self-esteem and the quality of life of middled-aged women. Korea s unique Seon meditation method and Western wine tasting culture were combined in a program. The program was conducted seven times for 120 minutes for seven weeks for nine middle-aged women who participated in the wine meditation program planned as part of a regional project conducted in Y-area, Chungcheongbuk-do. Methods As a method of study, the scales of awareness, self-esteem and the quality of life were tested pre and post the wine meditation program. An open ended questionnaire was also used to evaluate the qualitative changes. Wilcoxon signed ranks test is used to identify the differences before and after the program and the level of satisfaction was analyzed. Results The results of the study were as follows. First, the comparative analysis pre and post the wine meditation program shows that the scores of awareness, self-esteem and the quality of life were significantly improved after the program. Second, there was significant positive satisfaction after wine meditation program intervention. The analysis of the open ended questionnaire reports the positive effects that most of the participants improved their ability to clarify consciousness and more accurately recognize emotions by repeating training to stop thinking and reviving dull senses. Conclusions Accordingly, it suggested the effectiveness and application plan of the wine meditation program to overcome the crisis of the global epidemic of infectious diseases and cope with the life stress of middle-aged women following the transition to a untact society.

        선(仙)명상 프로그램이 취업 준비 학생의 뇌기능지수, 스트레스 반응에 미치는 영향 -수선재 명상법을 중심으로-

        이 연구에서는 취업준비생들이 겪는 우울증과 취업 스트레스 치료에 효과적인 것으로 입증된 명상을 기반으로 취업준비생들에게 전통적인 선(仙)명상 프로그램을 적용한 후 뇌기능지수와 스트레스 반응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보았다. 이를 위해 서울소재 S국립대학에 다니는 취업을 준비 중인 대학생과 대학원생 13명을 참가자로 선정하여 선(仙)명상 프로그램을 주 1회씩 10회기 실시하고 선(仙)명상 프로 그램 실시 전후 뇌기능지수, 스트레스 반응 차이를 알아보기 위해 대응표본 t-검정과 상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 선(仙)명상 프로그램이 취업준비 학생의 뇌기능지수 향상에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 선(仙)명상 프로그램이 취업준비 학생의 스트레스 반응 수준 감소에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 선(仙)명상 프로그램의 우뇌 주의지수, 정서지수, 브레인 지수가 스트레스 반응과 유의한 상관을 보였다. 이에 따라 취업준비생들의 취업 스트레스를 완화하기 위해 효과적인 방법으로 입증된 선(仙)명상을 통해 뇌기능을 활성화하고, 스트레스 반응을 낮추는데 활용할 것을 제안하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine how the brain quotients and stress response affect students who are preparing to seek a job after applying traditional Seon meditation program that has proven effective in treating depression and job stress. 13 university and graduate students who are preparing to seek a job at S National University in Seoul are selected. They take part in the Seon meditation program once a week for 90 minutes and 10 times in total. As a method of study, the brain quotients test and the scale of stress response are tested pre and post the Seon meditation program. Paired t-test is used to identify the differences before and after the program and the correlation of the change between the variables is analyzed. The results of the study were as follows. First, it was found that the Seon meditation program had a positive effect on the improvement of the brain quotients of students who are preparing to seek a job. Second, it has been shown that the Seon meditation program has a positive effect on reducing the level of stress response of students. Third, the Seon meditation program showed significant correlation with the stress response in the right-brain ATQ, EQ and BQ. The Seon meditation program suggested in this study is meaningful in that it is effective to improve the brain quotients and reduce stress response. Accordingly, it was proposed that Seon meditation program that has proven in an effective way to relieve job stress should be used to activate brain function and reduce stress response.

        선(仙)명상 프로그램이 취업준비 학생의 마음챙김, 회복탄력성, 자기효능감에 미치는 영향

        이 연구에서는 취업을 준비하는 대학생과 대학원생들에게 선(仙)명상 프로그램을 실시 한 후 명상이 마음챙김, 회복탄력성, 자기효능감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 서울시내 S국립대학에 다니는 취업을 준비 중인 대학생과 대학원 생 13명을 대상으로 10주간 10회기의 선(仙)명상 프로그램을 90분씩 실시하였고, 프로그램의 적용 전후 변화를 알아보기 위하여 마음챙김, 회복탄력성, 자기효능감 검사와 자유기술식 자기보고 설문을 사용하였다. 연구방법은 대응표본 t-검정을 실시 하였으며, 변인 간의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 취업을 준비하는 학생의 마음챙김, 회복탄력성, 자기효능감 점수가 모두 프로그램 적용 이후 유의미하게 향상되었다. 둘째, 선(仙)명상 중재 전후 마음챙김, 회복탄력성, 자기효능감 점수 간 의 상관관계가 높았다. 선(仙)명상 전후 자기보고 분석결과, 대부분의 참가자들이 현재의 상황을 명확히 인지하고, 상황을 해결하려면 무엇부터 해야 할지에 대해 객관적으로 보게 됐다는데 도움을 받았다고 보고하였으며, 명상 후 취업을 준비하면서 받는 스트레스나 긴장감을 호흡명상을 통해 다스릴 수 있게 되어, 집중력과 과제수행력이 높아졌다는 긍정적인 효과를 보고하였다. 이에 따라 대학생의 취업 스트레스대처를 위한 선(仙)명상 프로그램의 적용 가능성에 대하여 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Seon meditation on the mindfulness, resilience and self-efficacy of university and graduate students who are preparing to seek a job. 13 university and graduate students who are preparing to seek a job at S National University in Seoul are selected. First, The comparative analysis pre and post the Seon meditation program shows that the scores of mindfulness, resilience and self-efficacy are all significantly improved after the program. Second, there was significant positive correlation between the scores of mindfulness, resilience, and self-efficacy after Seon meditation program intervention. The analysis of the open ended questionnaire reports the positive effects that most of the participants are helped by the program when clearly seeing the current situation and judging objectively what to do first to solve the situation, and after meditation they are able to control the stress or tension they are under while preparing to seek a job through breathing meditation, and increase concentration and task performance. The Seon meditation program suggested in this study is meaningful in that it is effective to improve mindfulness, resilience, self-efficacy and was significant correlated with each other. Therefore, It discussed the possibility of applying Seon meditation to cope with job seeking stress for university and graduate students.

        선메디 VR자연명상 프로그램이 팬데믹으로 등교중지를 경험한 대학생의 심박변이도, 지각된 스트레스, 자기자비에 미치는 영향

        목적 이 연구는 팬데믹으로 인한 등교중지로 심리적 어려움을 경험한 대학생들에게 선(仙)명상을 기반으로 한 VR자연명상 프로그램을 처치한 후 심박변이도, 지각된 스트레스, 자기자비에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 디지털 치료 프로그램으로서 효과성을 검증하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 팬데믹으로 장기간 학교에 등교하지 못한 대학생 34명을 대조군과 실험군으로 무선 배치한 후 대조군에게는 특별한 처치를 하지 않고, 실험군에게는 VR자연명상 프로그램을 2주간 4회기 체험하게 하였다. 연구 방법은 VR자연명상 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실험군에게 매회기 사전·사후 심박변이도(HRV) 검사를 실시한 뒤 이를 대응 표본 t-검정으로 분석하였다. 또한 두 집단에게 각각 사전·사후 지각된 스트레스, 자기자비 검사를 실시하였으며, 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 통해 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 결과 연구결과를 정리하면 첫째, 실험군의 심박변이도가 매회기 유의미하게 상승한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 실험군은 대조군과 비교해 지각된 스트레스, 자기자비 점수가 VR자연명상 체험 이후 유의미하게 향상되었다. VR명상 후 자기 보고 결과, 참여자들은 일상과 학업, 대인관계로 인한 지속적인 압박에서 자유로울 수 있었고, 심신이 이완되고 일상의 스트레스가 완화되었다고 응답하였다. 결론 이런 결과를 바탕으로 선메디 VR자연명상 프로그램이 팬데믹의 영향으로 학습결손과 심리적 어려움을 경험한 대학생들의 일상 회복을 돕기 위한 유망한 개입이 될 수 있음을 제시한다.         Landscape Characteristics of Sojinjeong Garden in Geochang

        Background and objective: This study aimed to examine the construction intention, spatial composition, and landscape characteristics of Sojinjeong Garden, located in Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, through a literature analysis and field survey. The findings can be summarized as follows. Methods: The research method was a combination of literature review and field surveys. The history of the construction of Sojinjeong and its garden was examined through a review of the literature, while the spatial composition and landscape characteristics of the garden were analyzed through field surveys and interviews. Results: Sojinjeong Garden was created by Confucian scholar Wucheon Do Jae-gyun in the 1920s. In the background to this garden's construction, the placeness related to Nammyeong Jo Shik, a great Confucian scholar of the Joseon period, played a large role. Do Jae-gyun, the creator of the garden, placed the garden centered on Sojinjeong and Imcheongjeong where Poyeon could be seen, keeping in mind the relationship between his ancestor, Do Hee-ryeong, and Nammyeong. He also created a colony of Lagerstroemia indica, which is in full bloom in summer, around the place where they took a wind bath. Various landscape elements of Sojinjeong Garden are distributed throughout Gusa Village, including the adjacent Okgye Stream, Poyeondae, and Banwhandae. These landscape elements can be roughly classified into scenic views inside and outside the garden, structures, and vegetation. The landscape structure of the garden is divided into inner garden, outer garden, and area of influence based on the location of the landscape elements, a typical structure for an annex garden. The scenic significance contained in Sojinjeong Garden is converged into the nickname of Sojinjeong Pavilion and the word Yokgi (浴沂; Yuyi in Chinese) that appears in a poem recited in the garden. This represents the intent of the creator of the garden, who wanted to make Sojinjeong Garden a place where he could cultivate himself in harmony with nature, away from the mundane world. Conclusion: Sojinjeong Garden is an annex garden of the Nammyeong School, built in the western part of Gyeongsang-do, and is considered to be a very valuable relic. However, the original landscape of Sojinjeong Garden is changing, and a reasonable management plan should be sought by regarding it as an integrated garden relic and making an objective evaluation.
