Intraductal papilloma is a rare benign tumor reported to be primarily in minor salivary gland. There were few reports in parotid gland. A case of a 5-year-old boy with a palpable mass in the left parotid gland, with a review of the literature pertaining to this unusual case. A supeficial parotidectomy was performed under impression of benign or congenital lesion. Histopathologic diagnosis of intraductal papilloma was made on the surgical specimen. Authors report a intraductal papilloma arising from the parotid gland in childhood.
국악 장단에 내재된 분박의 교육을 통한 장단 학습 지도 방안 연구

The Seventh National Curriculum emphasizes Korean traditional music education to create, develop, and hand down our traditional culture in the 21st century which is the era of information, globalization, and multiplicity. To make this end met, it is very important to provide the students with lots of opportunities to experience and have interests in Korean traditional music and to have them realize and learn it to the fullest. In addition, teachers must change their way of thinking on Korean traditional music education. That is why a study on improving teaching skills and effective teaching methods is in need. The purpose of this study is to come up with teaching methods and plans for efficient and effective learning Korean traditional jangdan based on teaching units of time in Yidam (which is the old name of Dongducheon) Nongak jangdan. To seek teaching methods for learning jangdan based on teaching units of time in Yidam Nongak jangdan, I wrote it down and analyzed it with help from Mr. Kim Heung-rae in Yidam Nongak Conserving Association and Mr. Kil Seok-guen, a percussionist in the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts. By selecting and extracting the representative Chilchae, Yookchae, Gwangbok, and Hwimori jangdan from Yidam Nongak, the structure and features of binary units, triple units, and mixed units of binary and triple ones are analyzed that resulted in teaching methods. Based on this study, 'teaching methods through fun and games' and teaching-learning plans for jangdan are presented. The result of this study is as below: Diverse patterns of jnagdan are analyzed and learned through the way of breathing for traditional music of binary units, triple units, and mixed units of binary and triple ones, and through the way of oral sounding combined with verbal jangdan physical activities. By teaching students from the minimal units to the long units, they came to perform Korean traditional jangdan easily and correctly. The combination of children's activities and Korean traditional jangdan contributed to improving their interests and participation in Korean traditional music education. Besides, student's creative capacity to set new topics and make new games improved after getting accustomed to rhythm pattern of jangdan. As a researcher of this study, I believe that this teaching method for Korean traditional music education will be of help to build up proper conception of Korean traditional jangdan and to increase the interests in Korean traditional music and culture. In addition, I also believe that it will be nurishment for children's whole-person and the basis for the development of Korean traditional music.
갯벌로부터 분리된 미생물에 의해 생산된 지질 분해 효소의 특성

본 연구는 산업적으로 활용할 수 있는 lipase를 개발하기 위해 갯벌에서 분리된 Gelidibacter sp. YH333와 Vibrio sp. YH339에 의해 생산되는 lipase의 특성에 대해 연구하였다. 분리 균주들로부터 세포 외로 방출하는 lipase의 양은 세포수의 증가와 비례하여 급격하게 증가하였다. 분리 균주들에 의해 생산되는 lipase는 대부분 세포 외로 lipase를 방출함으로 lipase가 세포 밖으로 constitutively하게 분비됨을 알 수 있었다. 두 균주에서 생산된 lipase 모두 p-nitrophenyl laulate(C12:0)에서 가장 높은 활성을 보여 주었다. Gelidibacter sp. YH333에서 생산된 lipase가 Vibrio sp. YH339에 의해 생성된 lipase보다 모든 기질에 있어 높은 활성을 보여주고 있다. Gelidibacter sp. YH333에서는 약 50 KDa, 25KDa 등 두 개의 lipase가 확인되었고 Vibrio sp. YH339에서는 약 50 KDa에 해당하는 lipase가 확인되었다. This study was performed to characterize the lipases produced from Gelidibacter sp. YH333 and Vibrio sp. YH339 isolated from mud flats for industrial application of a lipase. Amount of the lipases secreted from the isolated strains was sharply increased in the proportion of increase of number of the cells. The lipases produced from the isolated strains were constitutively secreted from the cells. The lipase activity of Gelidibacter sp. YH333 was higher than that of Vibrio sp. YH339 to p-nitrophenyl esters. The lipases produced from both strains showed the highest activity in p-nitrophenyl laulate among various p-nitrophenyl esters. The molecular weights of the lipases from Gelidibacter sp. YH333 were about 50 KDa and 25 KDa, respectively. Molecular weight of the lipase from Vibrio sp. YH339 was about 50 KDa.
두경부 선양낭성암종에서 형광동소결합을 이용한 제17번 염색체의 다염색체 소견

Background and Objectives: Adenoid cystic carcinoma of salivary glands is characterized by insidious growth over many years, local recurrences, and distant metastasis and classified to three distinct histologic subtypes: tubular, cribriform, and solid. The solid type is known to have the worst prognosis. However, histopathologic heterogeneity is observed in tumors from the same patient. We have attempted to elucidate the genotypic differences, characterized by polysomies of chromosome 17, in adenoid cystic carcinoma according to the phenotypic histopathologic heterogeneity. Materials and Methods: Fluorescence in situ hybridization was performed on formalin-fixed paraffin blocks from seven patients with head and neck adenoid cystic carcinoma, using the centromeric α -satellite probe of chromosome 17 to detect nuclei exhibiting polysomy. The difference in polysomeric chromosome expression in cribriform, tubular, solid type and type I, II, III according to the Szanto classification was analyzed. Results: Polysomy of chromosome 17 was found in 15.28% of the cribriform type, in 15.68% of the tubular type, and in 18.87% of the solid type. The proportion of polysomy was statistically higher in the solid type than in the cribriform type(p 0.05). Conclusion: We suggest that there may be genetic variations in tumor from the same patient depending on the histopathologic heterogenetiy in adenoid cystic carcinomas.
동물성 소염진통제(II) -반묘 및 먹가래 다당체분획의 소염, 진통 및 면역조절작용-

Effect of Mylabris sidae(MS) and Epicauta gorhami(EG) polysaccharide fractions on the inflammation and immune responses were studied in vivo. MS and EG contained cantharidin about 0.61 and 0.65%, respectively. It was shown that MS and EG polysaccharide fractions at a oral dose of 100 mg/kg have the significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity; They inhibited significantly the carrageenin-induced inflammation and acetic acid-induced writhing syndrome. They accelerated significantly the carbon clearance and the phagocytosis of colloidal carbons by Kupffer cells in liver, but they at a oral dose of 100 mg/kg suppressed significantly the Arthus reaction in the sheep red blood cell(S-RBC)-sensitized mice in accordance with the inhibition of haemaglutinin titer, haemolysin titer and plaque-forming cells. On the other hand, they at a oral dose of 200 mg/kg accelerated slightly the oxazolone-induced dermatitis in rats and delayed hypersensitivity in the S-RBC-challenzed mice in consistent with the increase of rosette forming cells. As the above results, it exhibited that MS and EG polysaccharide fractions inhibited the humoral immune responses, but they accelerated the function of macrophages and cellular immune responses. EG polysaccharide fraction had more active than MS polysaccharide fraction.
