글로벌 디자인 연구동향에 대한 키워드 네트워크 분석 연구 (1999∼2018)

본 논문의 목적은 1999년에서 2018년 사이 발간된 디자인 관련 연구 논문들을 취합하고, 이들 논문들 을 대상으로 키워드 네트워크 분석을 시행함으로써, 최근 20년간의 디자인분야 글로벌 연구의 특성과 동향을 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해 스코퍼스에 등재된 디자인 분야의 22개 학술지로 부터 3,569개 연구 논문들을 취합 하였으며, 저자 키워드와 인덱스 키워드를 활용하여 키워드 네트워크 모델을 설정하였다. 이들로부터 자주 사용 되는 키워드들을 분석하였으며, 최근 20년을 4개 기간으로 나누어 각 기간 별로 중심성(연결, 매개) 지표를 산 정, 키워드 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 디자인관련 주요 연구들과 디자인 관련 융합연구들의 특성 과 동향이 키워드 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 정량적으로 설명될 수 있음을 보여주었다. 본 연구의 결과는 기술 발전이 가져올 디자인 여건의 변화를 감지하고 적시성 있는 디자인 관련 연구를 추진하기 위한 자료로 활용 가 능할 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of researches that have been conducted for the last 20 years through analyzing global research trends and evolutions of design articles from 1999 to 2018 with keyword network analysis. For this purpose, we selected 3,569 articles in 22 journals related to design research retrieved from the Scopus database and constructed keyword network model through the author keyword and index keyword. The frequency of the author and index keyword, the centrality of betweenness and degree were analyzed with the keyword network. The results show that design has been applied to various fields for recent 20 years, and the research trends of design could be quantitatively characterized by keyword network analysis. The result of this study could be used to suggest future research topics in the field of design based on quantitative and empirical data.

Korea has been took the top ranking in the global shipbuilding industry in terms of new orders, order backlogs and the volume of vessels for several years. However, the domestic small- and medium-scale shipbuilders currently face imminent threat from China and new challenge to focus on development of high value-added ships. So far, the marine leisure industry of Korea has been showed weak global competitiveness and there were few attempts to design and develop leisure boats and yachts. We describe the digital design process of leisure boat exterior that could reflect user's sensibilities and feelings of entire forms of the products. This design process contains stepwise sensibility evaluation via web and provides designers with various and fast feedbacks about their design outputs in each design stage.

Q 방법론과 감성평가기법을 활용한 전기 자동차 익스테리어 디자인 프로세스 제안

본 연구에서는 운송기기 외형 디자인에 Q 방법론과 감성공학적 기법을 적용하는 디자인 프로세스를 제안하였다. Q 방법론은 사회과학과 심리학 분야에서 인간의 주관성을 요인분석, 상관분석 등을 이용하여 정량적으로 파악하기 위해 사용되어온 통계기법이다. 본 연구에서는 사용자들의 선호유형을 파악하기 위해 디자인 선행단계 및 컨셉 개발 단계에 Q 방법론을 적용하였으며, 디자인 시각화, 구체화 단계 등에서의 피드백을 위해 감성평가기법을 활용하였다. 실제 적용 예로, 최근 트렌드가 반영된 소형 전기차(골프카트) 디자인 18개를 취합하고 이를 Q 표본으로 이용하였으며, 성인 25명을 P 표본으로 선정하고 Q 표본 분류를 실시하도록 하였다. 분류된 데이터는 오픈소스 통계 소프트웨어인 R의 qmethod 패키지를 이용하여 분석하였으며, 주성분분석과 배리맥스 회전을 활용하여 요인(유형)을 추출하였다. 분석결과 3개 유형으로 분류되었는데, 첫 번째 유형의 응답자들은 현대적, 미래적이고 각진 디자인을 선호하는 것으로 특징지을 수 있으며, 두 번째 유형의 응답자들은 전통적이며, 한국적인 디자인을 선호하는 것으로 파악되었다. 세 번째 유형의 응답자들은 각지고 단순한 디자인을 선호하는 특성을 나타냈다. 디자인 시각화 단계와 디자인 구체화 단계에서는 제작된 디자인 결과물들을 대상으로 감성평가를 실시하였다. 각각 47명과 45명의 성인이 감성평가를 수행하였으며, 감성평가 결과분석에는 R의 psych 패키지를 활용하였다. 감성분석결과는 선순환적 감성평가 피드백이 이루어짐으로써, 각 디자인 단계에서 점진적인 디자인 개선이 이루어진 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 제안한 디자인 프로세스는 디자인 사전조사 단계에 Q 방법론이 개개인의 주관성을 파악할 수 있도록 해줌으로써, 개발될 제품의 컨셉을 결정하는데 있어 매우 중요하게 이용될 수 있음을 보여주었다. Q 방법론과 R 방법론(감성공학적 방법론)이 상호 배타적이 아닌 상호보완적인 활용을 통해 다양한 감성 디자인 개발 및 개선에 이용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The present study introduces the exterior design process of electric car using Q method and image technology (sensibility evaluation). Q methodology is a statistical research method used in social sciences and in psychology to study people's subjectivity. We applied Q methodology to the stage of developing design concept and sensibility evaluation to the stages of preliminary design and detailed design. To illustrate the application of Q methodology, we selected 18 golf carts reflecting the latest trend and for Q samplings. 25 adults were participated as P samples and performed Q sort (self-reference classification of Q samples). The classified data were analyzed with qmethod package for R software environment and principal component analysis with varimax rotation was performed to extract factors (patterns). The results showed that three patterns of subjects exist: the first is characterized by subjects who tend to prefer modern, futuristic features; the second type of subjects is characterized by preference of traditional, Korean style and simple design features; and the third type of subjects is characterized by individuals who prefer angular, simple design features. In preliminary design stage and detailed designs stage, developed models were assessed with sensibility evaluation. 47 and 45 adults participated in each sensibility evaluation and psych package for R software environment was used to perform sensibility analysis. The results of sensibility evaluation showed that the design outputs have progressively improved in each stages. It also showed that Q methodology is useful for the stage of developing design concept and it can be used as complementary with sensibility evaluation (R methodology) in product design process.

일본 도시철도차량 객실의 디자인 특성에 관한 연구

In Korea, the interior design of urban electric railcar has been changed based on the requirements of railway operation company. However, most of the designs are similar to Japanese style owing to the Japanese technical cooperation in early stage of manufacturing in Korea. In order to present the direction of interior design of Korean electric railcar, we have investigated and analyzed the interior design of Japanese electric railcar.

국내 육상교통 수단의 변천과정에서 본 철도교통의 발전방향

The traffic policy of a city in Korea has brought to many traffic problems by putting emphasis on the only side of mobility in the past that the personal transportation was put first in importance more than the public transportation. As the result of this policy, in the process that the traffic policy of large cities in Korea changes into accessibility, it is shown for re-lighting up the development of the public transportation to be going to be able to get many suggestions in searching for the desirable developing direction of the new means of transportation that will arrive at Korea in the future. Especially, compared with the policy of U.S.A. on the traffic plan that has concentrated on the road and the vehicle, and that of Europe that has put first in the walking and the public transportation system, it is considered as an important thing that the lesson is given to us about what is important for the desirable city development. Transportation can be divided into four; a railroad transportation, a road transportation, a marine transportation, and an aerial transportation.

폐기물 수거와 운반을 위한 디자인 연구

쓰레기 관리는 수거(collection)와 처분(disposal)으로 이루어지는데 여기서 수거는 쓰레기의 보관(storage), 운반(transfer), 수송(transport)으로 이루어지며 처분은(disposal) 쓰레기를 주로 기계적 조작에 의해 주변 환경으로부터 방출, 토중 매불, 해양 투기, 생활 환경으로부터의 격리 등에 의하여 처분하는 것을 말한다. 오늘날 누적 방치된 쓰레기는 그 자체가 환경 오염물질이지만 처리 과정에서 대기오염, 수질 오염 등 2차적인환경오염을 유발시킨다. 막대한 양의 쓰레기가 배출되고 있다는 것 또한 동량의 막대한 자원을 소모하고 있음 의미하는 것이기 때문에 부존 자원이 빈약한 우리나라 실정에 비추어 볼 때 수거된 쓰레기의 자원화는 시급한 실정으로 대두되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 쓰레기를 수거, 운반 처리하는 과정에 있어 환경보존과 자원의 재활용 측면에서 접근하고자 쓰레기를 합리적이고 신속하게 분리수거 운반하는 차량을 개발, 효율적인 폐기물 관리에 일익이 되고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. The aim of this study is to grasp the features of the object which reveals its own specific purposes, and to apply them to the product concept and design forms when designers develop products. For this study, the subjects of the experiment were chosen to fill out a basic questionnaire, and an image analysis of them was performed. After the analysis, the functional design elements of the subjects were extracted and coded. They proved the correlation between the results of the image analysis and the characteristics of the subjects. The questionnaire was carried out to determine the characteristics of the subjects. As the features of specific products were extracted through this experiment, they can be used as basic data to analyze consumer needs and to better understand the products when we design for them. This can be useful fundamental data enabling designers to understand products easily and to establish concepts for their designs.

This paper studies on the user-interface design elements for the vehicle interior layout of the Korean AGT(Automated Guideway Transit). These are based on the cultural environment and space consciousness of both ethnic and class differences. This means human- oriented interface design. In order to apply the user-interface design, it is necessary to find the examples of lightrail at the foreign country, and research and analyze their design trend. Then try to combine into a concept of user interface design and interior layout This study will be expected to apply th Korean AGT as a guide.
