        This paper presents the results from a simulated trading of Standard and Poor's (S&P) 500 stock index futures using the prediction by neural networks. We describe the process of developing neural networks to predict the futures market behavior. The experiment support future use of neural networks in S&P 500 stock index futures trading.

      • 웹 애플리케이션 개발방법 비교

        조직의 웹 사이트 또는 웹 애플리케이션은 전통적 시스템개발에서와 마찬가지로 많은 사람으로 구성된 개발자 팀에 의해 오랜 기간동안에 걸쳐 개발된다. 특히 예산과 스케쥴에 맞추어 목표한 웹 애플리케이션을 개발하기 위해서는 체계적인 개발방법과 프로젝트 관리 기법이 필요하다. 웹의 특성 때문에 웹 애플리케이션 개발방법은 전통적 시스템개발 방법과는 다르다. 본 연구에서는 웹 애플리케이션 개발방법과 도구를 비교, 검토하고 이것을 통하여 새로운 개발방법을 제시하고자 한다.

      • 우리 나라 국민학교학생 편충감염에 관한 역학적 연구

        Nowadays, the prevalence rate of soil-transmitted helminthiasis is decreasing rapidly in Korea. Ascaris infection in student population lowered from 55.6% in 1970 to 15.1% in 1979. Trichuris infection is another popularly prevalent soil-transmitted helminthiasis in Korea, and any effective anthelmintic has not been used to treat it. The stool examination data of primary school children by The Korean Association for Parasite Eradication (KAPE) were analyzed in order to observe the tendency of Trichuris infection in primary schoolchil dren. The results are summarized as follows. 1. The number of students examined from 1970 to 1979 was 128,634,138. Primary school children were 82,399,993 among them. Egg positive rate of Trichuris trichiura in primary school children decreased from 44.1% in 1970 to 12.8% in 1979. 2. By area, the egg positive rates of Trichuris trichiura were over 40% in Seoul, Pusan, Kyonggi, North Chungchong, North Cholla, North Kyongsang, South Kyongsang in 1970. And they decreased to about 10% in 1979 nationwidely. 3. The positive rates were 2.3%~8.9% higher in spring than in autumn for the 10 years. 4. The decreasing pattern of Trichuris infection is similar to that of ascariasis in same population and duration. By above findings, the prevalence of Trichuris infection has been decreasing rapidly la primary school children without any chemotherapy in Korea. This fact can be explained by the biological difference that Trichuris trichiura produces much less eggs than Ascaris lumbricoides. Therefore, trichuriasis can be regarded as more vulnerable to the environmental improvement than ascariasis. Furthermore, the health education has also contributed greatly for the decrease of Trichuris infection.

      • NNSS方式에 의한 測位觀測 및 韓國 測地系에 관한 硏究

        TRANSIT 人工衛星에 의한 도플러 測定技術은 NNSS 方式에서 GPS方式으로 發展的으로 移行되고 있는 段階이고 現在 그 技法은 大陸間의 測地網의 結合 및 落島의 位置決定 등에서는 가장 뛰어난 手段을 提供하고 있으나 우리나라에서는 아직 開發段階에 머물고 있어 새로운 技術의 導入活用이 時急한 實情인 점에 비추어 本硏究에서는 우리나라에 있어서의 NNSS 方式에 의한 測位觀測의 現況과 그 成果를 分析 評價함과 아울러 도플러 測定의 正確度 向上 및 測地利用의 多邊化를 위한 指標의 導出을 試圖하였다. 本硏究에서 提示한 指標는 다음과 같다. 1. 우리나라에 있어서의 NNSS方式에 의한 測位觀測成果는 從來의 三角測量方式에 의한 實用成果와 比較할 때에 誤差範圍內에 있는 것으로 評價되므로 落島의 位置決定등에의 NNSS方式에 의한 測位觀測의 活用促進 2. NNSS方式에서 GPS 方式으로의 移行을 위한 技術開發 및 調査硏究의 活性化 3. 韓國測地系와 世界的 測地系와의 相關關係의 定立을 위한 原點偏位量 觀測의 早期施行 The positioning technique by Doppler frequency shift measurement with combination of TRANSIT Satellite is increasingly being in transition from Navy Navigation Satellite System to Global Positioning System. This technology nowadays is worldwidely in usa for the geodetic fields for instance, checking the closing error discrepancy of geodetic control network between continents and positioning of isolated islands, on the other hand, it is just on the begining stage in Korea. This paper therefore, in first discuses the technical development of the geodetic positioning with use of Doppler effect measurement and the way of enhancing accuracy of surveying by means of .comparative analysis of the data acquired through a few channel and secondly proposes the way to widen geodetic applications of this technique focusing on the following items. (1) The accuracy of the results by the Doppler positioning measurement is tolerable compared to -that of the conventional triangulation method. It is recommendable that positioning method of the isolated Islands by NNSS may especially be more effective than that by triangulation. (2) Development and promotion of this technology must be accelerated in accordance with transition from NNSS to GPS. (3) Experiment must be carried out for defining the coordinate shift of local reference datums between Korean Geodetic System and World Geodetic System (WGS-72).

      • 행동-대상 모델 : 웹에 기초한 전자 상거래 연구의 틀 A Research Framework for the Examination of Web-based Electronic Commerce

        The recent explosive growth of the World Wide Web has made electronic commerce a more realistic option for business. While the number of companies on the Web is increasing exponentially, most of them do not fully understand the business implications of the emerging technology. To facilitate a better understanding of the benefits, issues and problems associated with the use of Web in business, we propose a framework of business Web use. The Action-Audience Model categorizes business use of the Web through two dimensions predicated by the following questions: What is the goal of the business activity and who is being targeted by the effort? Three major functions of business Web applications, or actions, are defined: (1) To provide information(an Informational Web). (2) To carry out business transactions (a Transactional Web), and (3) To support business activities (an Operational Web). A continuum of audience for these functions is also proposed. It spans from the activities accomplished within an organization and the many possible bilateral strategic alliances with other firms and customers, to the activities that attempt to harvest the mass-market of the public at-large. A study conducted with 82 companies with a Web presence in 1996 is sued to validate the model. A set of organizational and technical issues is discussed in conjunction with he model. Finally, a list of emerging Web-based activities is introduced to help the Web researcher understand the richness of this emerging business paradigm.

        과고감과 표고측정정밀도와의 상관관계에 관한 연구

        본 논문은 실체시 측정에 있어서 발생하는 과고감과 표고측정의 정밀도와의 상관관계를 실험에 의하여 구명하고자 한 것이다. 일반적으로 과고감이 크면 클수록 표고측정의 정밀도가 높아진다는 사실이 알려져 있을뿐, 정확한 구명이 되어 있지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 과고감에 대한 이론을 재정립하고 이것을 실험에 의하여 구명하고저 하였다. 실험결과에 의하여 과고감과 표고측정의 정밀도는 직접 비예관계가 성립하고 과고감이 클수록 표고측정의 정밀도가 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다. In a stereoscopic measurements on the aerial photogrammetric works, it is in general understood that the larger and the larger is a vertical scale exaggeration, the better and the better is height measuring precision. Despite the success with which a stereoscopic measurement has been applied to contour mapping as well as spot height measurement, no generally accepted theory for visual excess has yet been developed. This experiments aim at arrangement of a correlation between visual excess and height measuring precision. The stereoscopic measurements with parallax bar in the mirror stereoscope are carried out on the test model of which consists normal angle, wide angle and super wide angle respectively. With the result of this experiments, it is conclued that height measuring precision is proportional to the magnitude of visual excess.
