뱀장어에서 분리한 부정형(不定形) Aeromonas salmonicida EL-1의 일부 특성과 병원성에 관한 연구

A partial characteristics and pathogenicity of Aeromonas salmonicida strain isolated from diseased cultured eel were studied. On the biochemicial characteristics of the isolate strain was classified into atypical Aeromonas salmonicida: the characteristics of the isolate strain differed from those of the subspecies of Achromogenes, masoucida and salmonicida. It strain was named atypical Aeromonas salmonicida EL-1 and it grew at optimal pH 7.5 and 1% Nacl. In the pathogenicity test, at one to two days post infection, the motality of artificially infected eels with 1×10(8) and 1.0×10(7)cfu/fish group was 100%, and at three days pos-infection, in the 1.0×l0(6)cfu/fish infected group, the epizootic haemorrhagic ulcer was developed, and haemorragic red sports were formed around abdomen and fins and its died(40%). Total cell protein peptide bands of the A. salmonicida EL-1 were presented betweeon 11.8~102 Kd in molecular weight by the electrophoretic analysis and appeared 28 bands in all. Drug sensitivity of atypical A. salmonicida EL-1 strain was sensitivity to chlorampenicol, gentamicin, kanamycin, streptomycin and sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim and intermidiate to ampiclin and neomycin resistant to cephalotin, erythromycin, lincomycin and tetracycline.
도축 한우의 복강내 지방괴사증 발생과 병리조직학적 연구

The bovine fat necrosis is often seen as an incidental lesion in the adipose tissues of the abdominal cavity. Most of affected animals, however, have been detected at the slaughter house or routine necropsy. The purpose of this study was to examine the occurrence and distribution of abdominal fat necrosis in Korean native cattle, and its pathologic features. Postmortem inspection at an Chonju abattoir during a three-month period in 1997 detected at necrosis lesions in 67(6.6%) of the 1,012 animals received for slaughter. The occurrence was mainly in alimentary tracts and perirenal. Both sexes were affected, but the lesions were predominantly occurred in female. Gross lesions were white or yellowish in color and formed hard lumps irregular in shape ranging from small nodules to large solid masses. On the cut surface, lesions were occasionally seen chalky calcified granules and some of the lesions contained oil-like fluid. The surface of irregular shaped masses constricted kidneys and intestinal loops. Microscopically, the masses were encapsulated by thickened fibrous tissue, which infiltrated deeply and divided them into many irregular lobules. Initial lesions presented mild inflammatory cell and fibrous proliferation. It became fibroplasia in progressive lesions and resembled chronic lesion, eventhough no grossly apparent inflammatory reaction. The hard consistency of masses, due to fibroplasia, can compress the intestines, urinary organs, and reproductive organs.
韓國産메기(Silurus asotus)의 疾病에 關한 연구 Aeromonas hydrophila에 의한 皮膚 潰瘍病

The Aeromonas strains were isolated from diseased cultured catfsh(Silurus asotous) in the ponds near by Gochang of Chunbuk. The present isolates were identified as A. hydrophila based on their biological aud biochemical characteristics. The isolates of A. Hydrophila were named GC-l, GC-2, GC-3, GC-4 and GC-5. Five strains were grew optimally at temperatures 35℃. pH 7.5 and in 0.5 to 1% NaCㅣ, This bacterium(GC-l) was injected into health catfish in order to prove the causative agent of ascites and haemorrhagic ulcers. The symptoms in catfish infected by this challenge method were observed to be very similar to the symptoms of a natural infection, but controls did not show any abnormal symptoms during the experimental period. At 24 post-injection, the red spot developed around the injection site and the haemorrhagic ulcers was extended near the gill and ventral fin. Five strains were tested for drug sensitivity by plate method. All strains were sensitivity to gentamicin and resistant to penicillin, streptomycin and tetracycline.
Studies on leucocytozoonosis of chickens in Honam districts

1992-1993년 호남지방의 4개 양계장에서 처음으로 닭의 Leucocytozoon caulleryi 자연감염증을 보이는 87수를 검색하였는데, 임상증세와 혈액내 merozoite 및 gametocyte 검출 그리고 내장기관으로부터 schizont의 발견으로 본 질병을 확증할 수 있었다. 본 감염증은 일년 중 6월 하순부터 9월 중순까지에 발견되었으며, 자연감염된 혈액(merozoite포함)을 미감염된 닭에 접종하여 인공감염상을 볼 수 있었다. 자연감염후 회복된 닭중 1수는 12월에 간에서, 또 다른 1수는 다음해 2월에 심장 근육에서 schizont가 발견되어 본 감염증의 재발이나 동절기를 지나는 장기간 감염 가능성을 보여 주었다. 본 원충의 gametocyte 추출물에서 특이 항원 항체 반응을 보이는 polypeptide는 50.1kD이었다. In the year 1992/93 leucocytozoonosis could be first diagnbosed in 87 chickens of 4 chicken farms in Honam districts. The diagnosis was confirmed by detection of the blood merozoites or gametocytes and histological finding of the schizonts from various organs with some clinical signs. Cases of leucocytozoonosis only occurred from the end of June to the middle of September. Artificial infection could be observed by means of inoculation of infected blood merozoites. The schizonts were found in the liver and cardiac muscle of the different chickens recovered from the natural infection, respectively, in September and next February. Thus the relapse or long-term infection in cold seasons might be possible. The unique gametocyte antigen polypeptide was 50.1 kD.

This study was undertaken to determined the sulfamethazine residues in urine, serum and muscle of slaughtered pigs(n=230) by the method of TLC, EEC-4-plate and HPLC. 1. Inhibition diameter characteristics of reference bacterial substance by EEC-4-plate method and antibacterial inhibition zone was appeared sulfonamides in BS pH 7.2 2. Residual sulfamethazine was detceted from 7 serum(3.04%) and 10 urine(4.35%) by TLC test and concentration of residues was higher in urine than serum. 3. Residual sulfamethazine was detected from 9 muscle(3.91%) by EEC-4-plate method. 4. Positive samples by TLC test and EEC-4-plate method were exceed 0.lppm quantitative analysis from 7 muscle(3.04%).
