This paper examines the opportunity for a niche market in subtropical ethnic vegetables for small and medium-sized farmers. We employed ordered probit model to identify the potential demands for subtropical vegetables by ethnic groups who reside at four regional areas. Original data were obtained from a surveyed conducted through personal interviews of foreign residents in Korea. Results from the econometric modeling showed that even though the market for subtropical ethnic vegetables is just entering the introductory phase of its product lifecycle, ethnicity, state of residency and easy availability appear to play significant roles in increasing willingness to buy ethnic vegetables in regional or local markets.

At present, many driver models focus on manual control aspects of vehicle such as lateral, longitudinal and steering control. However in order to control the intelligent vehicle in ITS environment, we need drivers model which can cover higher level cognitive functions such as decision-making. For developing DSRCbased ambulance proximity warning system we need to study when the driver change the vehicle’s dynamic state. Thus we must understand the human factors and it is necessary to model the driver’s behaviors in order to verify the utility of the system. In this study, we provide literature survey for auild a driver modeling of the normal vehicles which yield their way for the emergency vehicles.

Penetrating neck trauma involving spinal cord injury is relatively uncommon, but can be life-threatening. We report a case of 59-year-old female who presented with hypotension after stab injury self-inflicted with a scissor to her neck. Although Open removal of the scissor and control of bleeding were successfully done, penetration of spinal cord resulted in a neurologic impairment. [ J Trauma Inj 2015; 28: 71-74 ]

증기의 힘을 동력으로 사용한 이래 영구자석형 동기전동기의 상용화 노력에 이르기까지 철도운전제어기술은 내연기관 및 전기기기와 전력전자 기술의 발달을 힘입어 그 발걸음을 계속 하고 있다. 특히 초창기 철도차량에 적용된 견인전동기는 직류직권전동기를 장착한 철도차량을 운행했지만, 전력전자 기술과 고속 대용량 스위칭 소자의 발달로 개발된 3상농형유도전동기를 장착한 철도차량을 주로 운행하고 있으며 새로운 방식의 철도차량 동력장치 개발 및 기존에 사용 중인 동력장치의 고효율, 경량화, 소형화에 계속해서 힘쓰고 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국철도 역사에 따른 철도차량용 동력장치의 발전과정과 제어방식의 개발동향을 중점적으로 전개·분석하며 향후 발전 가능성과 방향을 함 께 제시하고자 한다.
아열대채소의 국내 생산,유통 및 국내거주 외국인 소비 실태

Global warming has become world-wide issue due to its negative impacts on ecosystem and human lives. As a policy to deal with global warming problems, fourteen of subtropical vegetables such as okra and bitter gourd, have been adopted in Korea since 2011. This paper examines production, marketing situations, and consumer`s purchasing pattern for some subtropical vegetables. We had interviews with producers and dealers, and also conducted a survey on foreigners residing at Korea who have experienced consuming the vegetables across 4 regional markets. From the interview and the survey, we found that i) domestic consumers` recognition for the vegetables is low ii) the markets of subtropical vegetables are quite volatile for supply, and iii) consumers cannot access easily to the vegetables because of high prices, lack of items and stores.

This paper presents basic research results for development of the integrated HVI Manager algorithm needed for intelligent cockpit module. With the development of the current sensor and vehicle technologies, we expect to reduce the rate of traffic accidents, however increased complexity of vehicles could easily become the contributing factor of traffic accidents. Driver monitoring systems, such as driver state, intention, tendency, can help to minimize the above problem. This paper presents literature survey results for HVI Manager framework.
