이 글에서는, 최근 논란이 계속되고 있는 교환역설문제의 진상을 규명하고, 교환문제에서는 베이지안 의사결정이 항상 유리함을 보인다. 아울러, 교환문제를 불확실성하에서의 합리적 의사결정문제로 해석한다. In this tutorial note, we resolve debates generated by Exchange Paradox. In particular, we show that Bayesian solution is superior to frequentist's. Then, in terms of decision analysis, we show that any rational decision is superior to no-action policy.

Using the concept of closed queueing network, we present a consistent way of interpreting existing duality relations among queueing systems. Also, using embedded Markov chains, we present a few new duality relations for the queueing systems with negative customers.
Busy period analysis for the n-policy GI/M/c queue

We consider the busy period in the n-policy GI/M/c queue. We present a procedure to obtain the joint transform of the length of a busy period, the number of customers served during the busy period, and the remaining interarrival time at the instant the busy period ends.

로보트화된 좌표측정기에 사용됨에 따라, 직교 회귀가 이제는 단순히 흥미로운 수학문제로 그치지 않게 되었다. 특히, 공학 전공 학생을 대상으로 하는 기초 통계학 과목에서 간단히나마 다룰만한 문제가 되었다고 본다. 직교 회귀의 핵심 개념을 간략히 정리한다. 아울러 직교 회귀의 기하학적 구조를 공학 전공 학생들이 잘 알고 있는 역학적 개념으로 설명함으로써 학생들이 쉽게 이해하고 또한 사고의 폭을 넓히는데 도움이 되고자 한다. Orthogonal regression is reviving due to the current development of software to control robotized coordinate measuring machines. Known features of orthogonal regression are summarized and geometry of the problem is interpreted in terms of equilibrium of force. A class example is given.

We present a trial solution approach to GI=M=1 queues with generalized vacations. Specic types of generalized vacations we consider are N-policy and a combination of N-policy and exponential multiple vacations. Discus- sions about how to nd trial solutions are given.

We demonstrate in this paper that the level crossing technique can be applied to such a system that not only the state vector is two-dimensional but its two components are heterogeneous. As an example system, we use the Gl/G/c/K queue whose state vector consists of the number of customers in the system and the total unfinished work.

We consider a GI/M/1 queue with vacations such that the server works with different rate rather than completely stops working during a vacation period. We derive the transform of the joint distribution of the length of a busy period, the number of customers served during the busy period, and the length of the subsequent idle period.
