AbstractReading is a complicated meaning process by interaction between the text and the reader. Yet, the reading courses in Korea have weighed on a text-centered learning adn ignored cognitve components. As a result, there have been very little knowledge and data about reading processes of Korean students.In view of this, this paper aims to introduce a verbal report, which requires the readers to verbalize what they thinking as they read. In order to verify the importance of verbal reports, the information processing model and analytic requirements are reviewed.This study also presents values of verbal reports. Verbal report reflects a view of readers' internal process, improves reading comprehension, provides a scientific basis as a analytic method for abstract cognition. In short, verbal report, I think, is an useful and valuable method for observing cognitive processes. If this method develops the analysis system it will be able to provide exact and endless data for reading process.
영문 독해시 효과적인 텍스트 중심내용 이해를 위한 학습방안

The purpose of this study is to propose main idea thinking skills as a new learning method for helping to improve main idea comprehension of English text. This study reviews the theoretical research on the text processing with an emphasis of the cognitive characteristics based on Korean university students' verbal report. And experimental research examined the effects of main idea thinking skills, which have a ground on categorization and classification of word concept, on readers' text comprehension. The subjects participated in this study were divided into three groups with each 70 members: group for main idea construction strategy, group for main idea construction strategy with main idea thinking skills and gruop for the traditional reading. The result showed that group for main idea construction strategy with congnitive thinking skills improves text comprehension more than other two groups, especially in aspects of main idea construction and inference. On the other hand, group for main idea construction strategy shows the improvement only in constructing main idea and the traditional reading group has no distinctive difference between before learning and after learning. Therefore this study suggests that main idea thinking skills based on categorization and classification have a meaningful influence on readers' congnitive process to use main idea strategy and Korean university students need to learn main idea thinking skills for effective English reading.

교육부는 교육비젼 2002를 통하여 새학교 문화창조의 핵심으로 창의력교육과 인성교육을 들 고 있다. 이러한 조건을 마련하기 위하여 대학입시의 무시험 전형을 발표한 바 있다. 본 연구 에서는 창의력 교육이 제대로 이루어질 수 있는 학교교육의 기반으로 창의적인 학생들의 학교 생활 적응유형을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 창의적 학생들은 침묵, 속삭임, 소음으로 제도교육에 적 응하고 있는 것으로 드러났다. 게다가 교사 및 학생들도 창의성이 무엇인지를 이해하고 있지 못하였다. 이러한 사실들은 현 교육체제가 창의적인 학생들이 창의적으로 성장하는 것을 포기 하게 만드는 환경임을 시사한다. 따라서 학교가 창의적인 환경을 유지할려면, 대학의 학생선발 이 지금과 같은 시험 석차에 따른 방법이 아닌 교육 프로그램의 독특성에 따른 방법으로 변화 되어야 할 것이다.

Different criteria for evaluating vulnerability of debris flow hazard proposed by various institutes such as Korea Forest Service(KFS), Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources(KIGAM), Ministry of Public Safety and Security (MPSS) and Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) were reviewed and discussed. Assessment of debris flow hazard for natural slopes around land for house development was carried out on the basis of the report about results of performing in-situ survey. Results of evaluating vulnerability of debris flow hazard by using these methods were compared to each other to discuss appropriateness of their evaluation and to recommend improvement.
