보문 : 해수 및 담수사육 강도다리 Platichthys stellatus의 산소소비에 미치는 수온의 영향

본 연구는 밀폐식 순환여과 시스템의 호흡측정실내에서 해수 및 담수사육 강도다리의 산소소비에 미치는 수온 영향을 조사하였다. 실험에 사용한 어류는 해수 및 담수에 각각 순화시킨 해수사육 강도다리(9마리, 평균체중 263.0±40.4 g)와 담수사육 강도다리(9마리, 평균체중 265.8±34.8 g)를 사용하였다. 수온 15, 20, 25℃에서 해수사육 강도다리의 산소소비량은 각각 74.4±17.0, 85.9±15.8, 98.3±11.4 mg O2 kg-1 hr-1, 담수사육 강도다리는 46.7±12.0, 63.3±7.5, 82.6±5.3 mg O2 kg-1 hr-1로 수온 상승 비례하여 증가하였다. 또한 수온 15℃와 20℃에서는 명기(09:00~21:00 hr)와 암기(21:00~09:00 hr)로 나누어진 광주기(12L: 12D)의 조건에서 해수 및 담수사육강도다리 모두 명기에는 산소소비가 적고, 암기에는 산소소비가 많은 뚜렷한 일주리듬을 보였다. 하지만 수온 25℃에서는 해수 및 담수사육 강도다리 모두 명기와 암기의 뚜렷하지 않은 산소소비 일주리듬을 보였으며, 수온 20℃ 이상에서는 대사리듬이 흐트러지는 것으로 판단된다. 해수 및 담수사육 강도다리의 호흡률을 비교했을 때 담수사육 강도다리가 해수사육 강도다리보다 높았으나, 산소소비량은 해수사육 강도다리가 많았다. The effects of water temperature on oxygen consumption (OC) of starry flounder Platichthys stellatus reared in seawater (SW) and freshwater (FW) was performed in closed water-recirculating system containing respiratory chamber. Fish acclimated in separate indoor tanks with SW (nine of fish used, 263.0±40.4 g) or FW (nine of fish used, 265.8±34.8 g) were sampled. The OC of starry flounder at 15℃, 20℃ and 25℃ were 74.4±17.0, 85.9±15.8, 98.3±11.4 mg O2 kg-1 hr-1 in SW and 46.7±12.0, 63.3±7.5, 82.6±5.3 mg O2 kg-1 hr-1 in FW, respectively, showing a linear increase in OC with water temperature. The OC of fish reared in both SW and FW clear diel rhythm, with lower values at daytime and higher values in the night, in accordance with light (09:00~21:00 hr) and dark (21:00~09:00 hr) phases of the diel cycle (12L: 12D) in water temperature at 15℃ and 20℃. However OC of fish reared in both SW and FW showed unclear diel rhythm with light and dark phases of the diel cycle in water temperature at 25℃. Starry flounder reared in FW had higher ventilation rates than those in SW, but SW had higher OC per breath than those in FW.

This study aimed to find an optimal diluent and cryoprotective agent (CPA) during cryopreservation of common Korean bitterling Acheilognathus signifier sperm. The bitterling is an endangered species in Korea, and this study will enable conservation and further technical development of artificial seed production. We tested the effects of cryopreservation and toxicity by the type of diluent and CPA. The optimal combination of diluent and CPA for cryopreservation was 300 mM glucose+10% methanol, resulting in a survival rate and sperm activity index (SAI) of 96.3±1.5%, and 3.0±0.0 respectively, and no significant difference compared to fresh sperm. The survival rate and SAI of post-thawed sperm was 9.7±1.5%, 0.8±0.3 respectively, which was significantly higher than had been achieved with other diluents and CPAs.
수온 및 광조건에 따른 대왕바리 Epinephelus lanceolatus의 산소소비 특성

본 연구에서는 수온 및 광조건에 따른 대왕바리 Epinephelus lanceolatus의 산소소비 특성을 조사하였다. 수온 17, 22,27 및 32.C에서 대왕바리의 산소소비량은 각각 61.7±0.4,72.2±0.6, 102.9±0.8 및 141.7±1.0 mg O2/kg/h으로 수온상승과 비례하여 증가하였다. 광조건은 명기 (06:00~18:00h)와 암기(18:00~06:00 h)는 각각 12시간씩 주었으며, 수온 17.C에서 명기와 암기의 산소소비량은 각각 62.7±0.4,62.5±0.3 mg O2/kg/h로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다(P¤0.05). 수온 22.C에서 명기와 암기의 산소소비량은 각각74.8±0.7, 69.6±0.6 mg O2/kg/h, 수온 27.C에서는 107±1.2, 98.0±0.7 mg O2/kg/h, 그리고 수온 32.C에서는 147.6±1.1, 135.8±0.8 mg O2/kg/h로 암기보다 명기에 산소소비가 많은 경향을 보였다. This study investigated the effe℃ts of water temperature and photoperiod on oxygen ℃onsumption (O℃) in the giant grouper Epinephelus lan℃eolatus. O℃ rate in the giant grouper at 17, 22, 27 and 32℃ were 61.7±0.4, 72.2±0.6, 102.9±0.8 and 141.7±1.0 mg O2/kg/h, respe℃tively, indi℃ating a linear in℃rease in O℃ with water temperature. O℃ raters during the light and dark phases were 74.8±0.7, 69.6±0.6 mg O2/kg/h at 22℃, 107±1.2, 98.0±0.7 mg O2/kg/h at 27℃ and 147.6±1.1, 135.8±0.8 mg O2/kg/h at 32℃, respe℃tively, indi℃ating that O℃ is higher during daylight than nighttime. Giant grouper is thought to be a diurnal fish spe℃ies, be℃ause the level of oxygen ℃onsumption during light period was higher than that during dark period.

N/A Physiological responses and tolerance limit of hybrid striped bass (Morone chrysops ?xM. saxatilis ?), were investigated on salinity changes from 33 psu to 0 psu and from 0 to psu 33 psu in two separate trials, respectively. In the acute salinity decrease from sea water (33 psu) to fresh water (0 psu), plasma level of cortisol, glucose, total protein, aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were not affected, however, NaC, CI- and osmolality significantly decreased. In the acute salinity increase from fresh water to sea water (33 psu), plasma cortisol level did not change. Glucose and total protein concentrations in plasma and hematocrit (Hct) decreased, whereas AST, ALT, Na`, C1` and osmolality increased. The hybrid striped bass can overcome the acute changes of salinity, from 0 psu to 33 psu or from 33 psu to Opsu, But salinity decrease stressed the fish much more than salinity increase.

Two diterpenes and one new sucrose isovaleryl ester having inhibitory effects on melanogenesis in B16 mouse melanoma were isolated from Euphorbiae Lathyridis Semen which has been used in traditional medicine for cancer, tumors and warts. New sucrose isovaleryl ester was identified as α-D-giucopyranoside, 3,4,6-tris-O-(3-methyl-l-oxobutyl)-β-D-fructofuranosyl,2,6-bis(3-methylbutanoate) and two diterpenes were identified as ingenol-20-palmitate and 5,10-diacetyl-3-benzoyllathyrol(Euphorbia factor L₃) from their spectral data.
