The thief of the Yi-dynasty by Sejo was symbolically adapted and dramatized in order to consider the contemporary circumstance. Keeping out literary judge of the japanese militarist, the pessimistic surroundings of lost authorities of the motherland had been performed. And so during that time, their inclusively political and social conditions yielded into the insight of value omnifariously, too much contrary. Essential curving phenomena in the dramatic matter were projected to the political and social circumstance of the Korean society. This thesis referred the drama such as 「the Majesty」 and 「the Cartender」, which recognized the circumstance. And the historical structure was constructed from the historical circumstance. Though their relations were limited in terms of time, through the dramatic transformation, which is. the performance of the dramatical matter, the audience of the drama are able to keep up with the historical circumstance and their feelings are agglomerated to spread out their reactive strength.

This these is historical contemplation about theatrical theory of emotional experience. The emotional experience expanded by the intuitional theatrical components. Catharsis theory of Aristotle was known to be suggested for the special effect of tragedy, however, it was originally introduced for for the "musical Catharsis". It eventually increase the theatricality by directly linked to emotional experience. Appia contributed good lighting and stage setting after musical contribution of Wagner to the Drama. Their theatrical experience enlarged to the sense of sight and hearing by stanislarsky and Max Reinhart. This thesis considered theatricalism movement as well as the participation of audience. Espercially the audience in the mask dance in Korea put the effect by the spontaneous participation.

The Korean dream in the 1940's was on the go, thanks to professional theater and actor-actress, their attractive popular spectators from the the establishment of Dong-Yang Theater in the late 1930's. However play-writers in these decades had to produce the pro-japanese drama in the name of national theater. And so a few able writers were forced to run away to northern place, which was some obstacles for the promotion of korean literature. ≪Ice Flower≫ was written by Mr. Rhim, Sun-Gyu, whose motive was regularly the unavailable love in the present. Many parameters of popular drama propagated the emotional circumstances of their responses and their feelings through their sensible suspension and their catastrophical attractions. So far the drama of ≪Ice Flower≫ was in a limit of the concentrated governing ideology of the pro-japanese theater.

Relationship with parents is psychological basis of conceptual thoughts which sein himself brings up as of the world. Motive of 「Phaedra」 is a tranformed model of Oedipus Complex and unfolds unconscious mental layers which offend relationship in motive of 「Phaedra」, there is the geometric composition which describes contrastive circumstance of desire and forbiddance (suppression). Therefore this theme has heretofore been fictionalized in western works. This story is proceeded to illicit relation between step-mother and her son-in-law, which consists story of 「Doongdoong Nakrangdoong」. Concerned with 「Phaedra」 motive, in the 70's when our rigid emotional ethics was to be collapsed, generational meanings are come out. Intermarital love is to be in reality of dramatic fiction. A goal of a writings is a conflict of reality and fantasy, and a writer's mind consistent in his works has been linked in frame of 「Hodong」 story. 「Hodong」 story of the 80's. is assumed to be affected by 「Phaedra」, but characteristic presentments full of tedium and nihility is laid uglily alive. Performed inclination of above-mentioned two stories is distinguished from western works which is composed of illegal love, birth and kill to handle with intermarriage problems as in 「Desire under the elms」 modernisticly transformed from 「Phaedra」 motive. In two stories tragical sein of mankind is more presented than emotional conflict of intermarriage, herein 「Phaedra」 motive is thought to be modernisticly transformed within a model of korean emotional ethics and a writer's mind.
