The first purpose of this research is to understand the proportion systems in the plan, walls, and elevations of Yangjindang, and moreover, through the understanding of the proportion system, finding the elements having an effect on the system is another purpose of the research. As the results of research, first, the proportion of the plan outline of the anchae in Yangjindang is 3:3 and the plan outline of the whole of Yangjindang and anmadang is 3:4. Also the major rooms has the proportion system in aesthetic number such as 3:3, 3:4, 3:5, 2:3, 3:5 and so on. Second, It was found that the column space and height of 18-kan walls surrounding the anmagang have the proportion system of 3:3, 4:5, 3:4, and the 17-kan walls surrounding the sarangmadang have 3:3, 4:5, 2:3 and so on. As the third result, the parts of the elevation have also several proportion systems such as the proportions between column space and the height from the top of the base to the bottom of the eaves are 3:3, 4:5, 3:4, 2:3, and between the height from the top of the base to the bottom of the eaves and the height of gable roof are 5:3, 3:2, and between the height from the top of the base to the bottom of the eaves and the height of half-hipped roof are 3:3, 4:5, 1:2. Based on these proportion systems, the front facade and left and right elevation were applied in zoning and functional aspects by controlling the gap of ground level with the height of basement and column and adjusting the height of the roofs in the anchae zone and the sarangchae zone. However, the backside, which is the main living place for house owner, was applied by same proportion systems without dividing between anchae and sarangchae zone. Also, it was comprehended that there was some intention of shape which makes the difference in the elevations like horizontality and verticality, as controlling the proportion systems in some parts even though the whole heights of anchae and sarangchae are same. As above-mentioned, this research has a purpose to understand that Yangjindang has various proportion systems in aesthetic number and there is a tendency that the proportions are not over the ratio from 3:3 to 3:5 in its plan outline, between column space and height, and between column space and height from the top of the base to the bottom of the eaves. In addition to that, there is another meaning which is to find that the proportion systems are influenced by various other elements such as ground level, zoning and functional differentiation, aesthetic aspects and so on.

This study sought to examine Soshaewon as an assumed healing space for Yang, San-Bo who experienced negative emotions as he underwent the political strife of Gimyosahwa. It examined healing energy inherent in Soshaewon which were accumulated through long-term experience, intuitions and customs. And, this study was based on the analysis of the drawings, Soshaewon48poems, and neurologists"s research on the effects of buildings and spaces on humans" brain and minds. It was first found that these three sections-Soshaejeong, Kwangpoonggak, and Jewoldang-simultaneously formed diverse visual structures and ample scenic elements. Second, the valley stream circulatory walking(movement) and resting (halt), allowing the walker to emphasize deeply with Nature. Third, there was an interaction between buildings, including Soshaejeong and Aeyangdan (sunshine), Kwangpoonggak and valley stream (sound), and Jewoldang and Maedae (fragrance), and Nature. All these gave Soshaewon a space for creating diverse ample sensation, allowing it to serve as an emotion healing place.
