        저,중강도 운동프로그램이 중,노년 고혈압여성의 혈압, 신체조성, 혈중지질에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of low intensity and moderate intensity exercise programs on blood pressure, body composition, and serum lipids in middle-aged and older female hypertensives. The number of subjects in low intensity exercise group and moderate intensity exercise group were 7 and. 11, respectively. The age of the subjects were between 50 and 70 years old and systolic blood pressure were in the range of 140∼160mmHg. Low intensity exercise program(5days/week) was consisted of swimming, badminton, folk dance, gate ball, etc for 60 minutes on monday, wednesday, friday and walking for 30 minutes on tuesday, thursday at the exercise intensity of 50%HRR(heart rate reserve). Moderate intensity exercise program was consisted of 10 minutes of warming up exercise, 30 minutes of aerobic exercise at 50-70%HRR, 15 minutes of resistance exercise, and 5 minutes of cooling down. Frequency of the exercise was 4 times per week. Two-way ANOVA with repeated measure was used to analyze the data and the results were as follows : 1. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure of low intensity exercise group decreased (12.6mmHg, 5.2mmHg) significantly after exercise program(p<.05). In moderate intensity exercise group, systolic and diastolic blood pressure decreased(5.2mmHg, 1.6mmHg) after exercise program but it was not statistically significant. 2. Percent body fat was significantly changed after exercise program in both groups, with larger changes in moderate intensity group(4.1% vs 0.7%). 3. Total cholesterol, high density lipids cholesterol, low density lipids cholesterol, triglycerides showed trends of positive changes in both groups after exercise program but it was not statistically significant.

        유산소 운동과 저항 운동의 병행 실시가 비활동적인 중년 비만인의 심폐 체력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate (1) whether combined aerobic and resistance training improves cardiorespiratory fitness more than aerobic training alone and (2) changes in cardiorespiratory fitness during relatively short period(4 months) of inactivity in obese middle-aged adults. 34 obese middle-aged adults(19 male, 15 female) underwent maximal exercise tests before and after 4 months of inactivity(control period, <1 exercise/week). After control period, subjects were divided into 3 treatments groups: aerobic training(A, n=10), resistance training(R, n=13), and combined aerobic and resistance training(AR, 11). Exercise training lasted 8 months and another maximal exercise test was conducted at the end of training. Although there was no changes in VO2max during control period, treadmill exercise time to exhaustion(TTE) was decreased(57 seconds, p<.01) and body weight was increased(0.8kg, p<0.5). R group showed significant improvements in VO2max, TTE, peak O2pulse. However, there was no additive effects of resistance training on VO2max in AR group. Increases of TTE in AR group (26.5%) was largest and significantly different from R group(8.2%, p<.01), but there was no difference between A(18.8%) and AR. Ventilatory anaerobic threshold(VAT) improved significantly in both R and AR groups after training(p<.01). TTE and VAT are more relevant to functional ability and endurance capacity of individuals than VO2max and results suggest that resistance training could be utilized as an important part of exercise program for the improvements of cardiorespiratory fitness in obese middle-aged adults.

        복근 및 배근 운동이 조정선수들의 체간 근력과 경기력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate how abdominal and back exercises affect core strength and rowing performance of well-trained rowers. Seven subjects(experimental group) participated in six-week core training program and five subjects served as controls. Before and after the program, isokinetic abdominal and back strength, deadlift 1RM, sit-up test, and 2,000m rowing time were measured. The results were as follows. After six-week core training program, experimental group showed significant improvements in abdominal isokinetic muscle strength(p<.01) at 30°/sec, 60°/sec angular velocity and muscle endurance(p<.001) at 120°/sec angular velocity. However, there were no changes in back isokinetic muscle strength and endurance. Experimental group also showed improvements in deadlift 1RM and sit-up test after core training(p<.05). Despite improvements in abdominal muscle strength and endurance, there was no changes in 2,000m rowing time. It was concluded that six-week core training program improved abdominal isokinetic muscle strength and endurance but it had no positive effects on rowing performance of well-trained rowers.

        특발성 척추측만증 초등학생을 대상으로 한 교정운동 프로그램의 효과

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of correction exercise on Cobb`s angle of children with idiopathic scoliosis. Exercise group(n=7) participated in 12 weeks long exercise program(90min/session, 3sessions/week). Height, flexibility(sit and reach test), lumbar strength, and Cobb`s angle were measured before and after the program. Below were the results: 1. Height of exercise group increased 2.4cm during 12 weeks of program but there was only 0.4cm increases in control group. 2. Measurements of sit and reach test increased 23.4cm in exercise group but there was no changes in control group. 3. Lumbar strength of exercise group increased 51%, 26%, and 25% at 0˚, 36˚, and 72˚ of back angle on a Medx machine during 12 weeks of program but there was no changes in control group. 4. Cobb`s angle of lumbar region in exercise group decreased from 13.3˚ to 6.7˚ during 12 weeks of exercise program(p<.05). The results indicates that correction exercise program was effective in improving the conditions of idiopathic scoliosis and correction exercise should be the main part of exercise program for the prevention and treatment of idiopathic scoliosis in growing children.

        국내 중증 급성 호흡기 증후군 코로나 바이러스의 검사실 내 진단: 현재, 한계점 그리고 직면한 과제

        2019년 12월, 중국 후베이성 우한시에서 COVID-19환자가 처음으로 보고되었다. 그 이후 국내에서 신종 코로나 바이러스에 의해 야기된 중증 급성 호흡기 증후군 환자가 급격하게 증가하였다. 이러한 새로운 변종 바이러스는 기침, 인후통, 비루, 호흡곤란, 폐렴 및 기타 폐질환을 유발한다. 중증 급성 호흡기 증후군 코로나 바이러스 2는 RNA바이러스로, 실시간 역전사효소 중합효소 연쇄반응을 통한 분자진단 검사가 COVID-19의 진단에 폭 넓게 사용되고 있다. 국내 질병관리본부와 식품의약품 안전처의 긴급 사용 허가 승인에 따라, 건강한 사람과 COVID-19 환자로부터 검체를 채취하여 진단검사의학적인 방법을 통해 진단을 수행하고 있다. 기존에 출판된 많은 문헌 고찰을 통해, 본 연구에서는 역학, 증상 및 질병관리본부의 승인을 받은 현재의 검사실 내 COVID-19 분자 진단 방법, 분자 진단 검사와 혈청학적 진단의 차이, 임상 검체 가이드라인 등을 다시 한 번 확인하고자 하였다. 추가적으로 본 연구를 통해 국내 의료기관 내 의료종사자 및 임상병리사들의 병원 감염을 예방하고자 생물학적 안전에 관한 가이드라인을 확인하였다. 국내 임상병리사들의 경험과 그로부터 얻은 교훈을 통해 국내외 COVID-19 팬데믹 상황으로부터 국민의 안전을 지킬 수 있는 단초를 제공할 수 있을 것이라 사료된다. In December 2019, the first coronavirus disease- 2019 (COVID-19) patient was reported in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Since then, the number of patients who suffered severe acute respiratory syndrome caused by the novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2 or 2019-nCoV) has increased dramatically in Korea. This new variant virus induces pulmonary diseases, including cough, sore throat, rhinorrhea, dyspnea, and pneumonia. Because SARS-CoV-2 is an RNA virus, real-time reverse-transcriptase PCR has been used widely to diagnose COVID-19. As the Korea Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (KCDC) and Ministry of Food & Drug Safety (MFDS) approved emergency use authorization, clinical specimens collected from COVID-19 patients and even healthy people have been clinically diagnosed by laboratory medicine. Based on a literature search, this paper reviews the epidemiology, symptoms, molecular diagnostics approved by KCDC, a current diagnosis of COVID-19 in the laboratories, the difference between molecular and serological diagnosis, and guidelines for clinical specimens. In addition, the Korean guidelines of biosafety for clinical laboratory scientists are evaluated to prevent healthcare-associated infection. The author's experience and lessons as clinical laboratory scientists will provide valuable insights to protect the domestic and international health community in this COVID-19 pandemic around the world.

      • 걷기, 아령체조, 유연성 운동이 중ㆍ노년 여성들의 혈중 지질과 신체조성에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of low and moderate intensity exercise program(walking, dumbbell exercise, and flexibility exercise) on blood lipids and body composition of middle-aged and older women. Training group(n=10) followed exercise program(4time/week, 70min/session) for 10weeks. Control group did not participated any formal exercise program. Total cholesterol(TC), triglycerides(TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), TC/HDL-C, body weight, percent body fat(%) were examined before and after the exercise program. The results of the study were as follows: 1.In training group, there were significant differences(p<.05) in HDL-C and total cholesterol/HDL-C ratio between pre and post training, Triglyceride was decreased after training but it did not reached statistical significance. 2.In training group, there were significant differences in body weight, % body fat between pre and post training. Body weight, but not % body fat, decreased in control group, probably due to decrease in lean body weight. From the above finding, it could be concluded that low and moderate intensity exercise program composed of brisk walking, dumbbell exorcise, low back exercise, and flexibility exercise could improve the blood lipid profile and body composition of middle-aged and older women.

      • 단기간의 체중감량이 유도선수들의 운동수행능력에 미치는 영향

        To investigate the effects of short-term weight reduction and subsequent rehydration on performance of the judo players, eight college-age judo players performed cybex and 3 wingate tests, seperated by 45min or 1 hr, before and after weight reduction(5%). Muscle strength, anaerobic power, anaerobic capacity, blood lactate, and blood pH level were measured. The results were as follows: 1. There were no differences in muscle strength and total work capacity, measured by cybex, between pre and post weight reduction. 2. There were no differences in peak power and anaerobic capacity, measured by wingate test, between pre and post weight reduction. It was concluded that 5% weight reduction followed by 4 hours of food consumption did not decreased the physical capacity measured by multiple wingate tests.
