The occurrence and abundance of protozoa at advanced wastewater treatment plant were compared with operating parameters and effluent quality using statistical procedures. In correlation analysis between the distribution of protozoa and operating parameters, the distribution of protozoa was showed the operating condition of plant. Regression analysis between the distribution of protozoa and effluent quality up to 7 days, showed the R-square values of most regression equation were more than 0.6 and constant was higher than slope and could indicate effluent quality from sampling day to 7 days. Once enough data concerning protozoa, operating parameters and effluent has been gathered, the operator has a valuable tool for predicting plant performance and near-future effluent quality based on microscopic examination. Plant operator manipulates operating conditions if he knows near-future data of effluent is deteriorating. Perhaps more importantly it can be used to actually control the plant to adjust the operating conditions to obtain the protozoal populations that have been shown to provide the best effluent quality.

Objectives: This study evaluated the odor emission characteristics from a wastewater treatment plant in an industrial complex area in Daegu City. Methods: Odor samples were collected from March 2016 to December 2016 and were analyzed for specified offensive odor substances. The odor quotient and the odor contribution was calculated. Results: Ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, acetaldehyde, and toluene were detected in all samples for monitoring specified odor compounds. The result of contribution analysis is that hydrogen sulfide had the highest contribution in all processes, followed by acetaldehyde. Conclusion: The major components of odor can be determined by evaluating the degree of contribution to the odor intensity and the concentration of the individual odor component. To increase the effectiveness of odor reduction, rather than addressing high-concentration odor compounds, policies focused on materials with a high odor contribution are necessary.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of participation of Family-friendly program on employees` work and family involvement and work-family spillover and family leisure practice. For doing so, data were collected through the questionnaire. The sample was drawn form 154 major companies`s employees in Seoul, Kyungkido, 2008 year by using the quota sampling. The statistics employed in the study were one-way ANOVA, X2, multiple regression analysis, logistic regression analysis. The results of this study can be acquired as follows; First, there were difference in work-family spillover according to participation of Family-friendly. Second, work and family involvement influences work-family spillover. Third, employee`s family leisure was higher levels of positive family to work spillover participation and more family-friendly program.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of martial arts directors' transactional -transformational leadership on trust and organizational performance. The subjects were selected through stratified cluster random sampling to 210 martial arts instructors working at practical drill halls in Seoul Area as of 2008 and the final analysis used questionnaires collected from 198. Questionnaire was used as a tool to attain the purpose of this study, SPSS 14.0 program was used to analyze the data. The statistical tests including correlation analysis, simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted at significance level of p<.05. The results of this study were as follows; First, the leadership and trust of martial arts directors were found to be significant affecting factors to individual consideration and conditional compensation of transactional-transformational leadership. Second, the leadership and organizational performance of martial arts directors were found to be significant affecting factors to subjective financial evaluation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment to individual consideration of transactional-transformational leadership, conditional compensation and management by exception had partially affect on organizational performance. Third, the trust to martial arts directors were found to be significant affecting factors subjective financial evaluation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment of organizational performance.

Objectives: This study evaluated the odor emission characteristics from a sewage treatment plant near an industrial complex area in Daegu City. Methods: Odor samples were collected from March 2017 to December 2017 and analyzed for specified offensive odor substances. The odor quotient and the odor contribution were calculated. Results: Ammonia, methyl mercaptane, hydrogen sulfide, dimethyl sulfide, acetaldehyde, propionylaldehyde, toluene, xylene, and methylethylketone were detected in all samples for monitoring the specified odor compounds. The result of contribution analysis is that hydrogen sulfide made the highest contribution in all processes, followed by acetaldehyde. Conclusion: The major components of odor can be determined by evaluating their degree of contribution to the odor intensity and the concentration of the individual odor component. Objectives: This study evaluated the odor around an industrial complex area (#1-#5) and the operational effects of the Odor Monitoring System in Seo-gu in Daegu City. Methods: Samples were collected from November 2012 to December 2018 and were analyzed for complex odor. The odor occurrence rate and the odor reduction rate were calculated. Results: In 2018, the mean concentration of complex odor decreased 20.9% and the odor occurrence rate decreased from 65.0 to 27.5% around the industrial complex area (#1-#5) in Seo-gu compared to 2013. After the operation of the Odor Monitoring System, the standard excess rate (3.0%→40.8%) and the excess concentration of complex odor (1,442→4,304) increased at odor-emitting workplaces. In addition, the mean concentration of complex odor (15.9%) and the odor occurrence rate (60.6%→32.9%) around the industrial complex area (#1-#5) and the number of odor complaints (23.4%) in Seo-gu decreased. Conclusion: In order to reduce the odor around the industrial complex area, it is important to improve the odor emitting facilities. The Odor Monitoring System uses scientific and systematic monitoring methods that can help control and manage the odor emission facilities.
