The purpose of this study lies in the positive investigation into the differences which the participation level in dancing may affect the middle-aged women on their satisfaction with living. To achieve this purpose, the sampling of 200 middle-age women was conducted in this study through a intentional sampling method, among those who were participating in 2004 in dancing programs offered by the cultural centers in Gangnam and Gangbuk areas of Seoul City, The data analysis used the confidence verification by the scope of variables designated in this study, the calculation of averages and standard deviations by the variables, and the analysis of covariance. Through the above-mentioned investigation methods and procedures, the analyses were carried out on the differences caused by the participation level in dancing on the satisfaction with living, with the conclusions as follows: First, there are differences in the satisfaction with living to the demographic feature variables of education level, the kind of jobs, or household income, Second, the middle-aged women's satisfaction with living is affected by the participation hours and frequency, which are sub-variables of the participation level in dancing, with the participation frequency(R²=689) explaining the satisfaction with living better by about 50% than the participation hours(R²=.188).

This study presents an approach for extracting boundaries of various buildings, which have concave boundaries, inner yards, non-right-angled corners, and nonlinear edges. The approach comprises four steps: building point segmentation, boundary tracing, boundary grouping, and regularization. In the second and third steps, conventional algorithms are improved for more accurate boundary extraction, and in the final step, a new algorithm is presented to extract nonlinear edges. The unique characteristics of airborne light detection and ranging (LIDAR) data are considered in some steps. The performance and practicality of the presented algorithm were evaluated for buildings of various shapes, and the average omission and commission error of building polygon areas were 0.038 and 0.033, respectively.
