Purpose: The aim of this systematic literature review was to synthesize and investigate the effects of shift workers' sleep in Korea. Methods: A search was conducted through three electronic databases using keywords such as "shift work" or "rotation work" and "sleep", with sleep as the independent variable, and 17 papers were reviewed. Results: The design of those 17 studies was analyzed in a cross-sectional analysis. The most commonly measured characteristic was quality of sleep, whereas the others were sleep disturbance, sleep efficiency, and sleepiness. The study outcome variables were job-related factors, mental health, wellness, stress, fatigue, and metabolic syndrome. Conclusion: The results inform sleep and health-promoting behaviors and improvement in shift workers' working condition.

복합운동프로그램이 기숙형 중학생의 신체조성에 미치는 영향

Purpose: The purpose of this study was intended to investigate the effect on the body composition of the dormitory-type middle school students by implementing the complexed exercise program. Method: As subjects of the study, the dormitory-type middle school students in Chungbuk, divided into 2 grade experimental group(N=46), 3 grade control group(N=49). Group-specific arbitration method, was applied to complexed exercise program (experimental group) and running group (control group). Each training courses 30 minutes 5times weekly, examined the changes in body composition to examine a total of 6-week course effectively. Result: The results were compared with change of Height, Muscle mass, Fat mass, Lean body mass and BMI. Experimental group were significant(p<.05) compared to the control group. Height, Weight, Muscle mass, Fat mass, and BMI of control group wasn’t significant(p>.05). Also there were significant difference(p<.05) between groups on Height, Muscle mass, Fat mass and Lean body mass post-test measure. Conclusion: Looking in total from the above results, it is suggested that it is possible to complexed exercise program 6 weeks improves body composition of the dormitory-type middle school students. Therefore, it is possible that the application of complexed exercise program is to effective in improvement of body composition of the dormitory-type middle school students.

영어와 한국어의 이중목적어구문

The grammatical relationship between English double object construction and dative construction has received much attention among many linguists in the generative syntax for decades. Many researchers have tried to examine whether or not there is a rule that relates two constructions. In this paper, I challenge the transformational view of the Korean dative alternation, in which double object construction can be allowed when the light verb cwu-is affixed to dative verb. I analyze the grammatical relationship between Korean dative construction and double objects on the basis of Larsonian VP-Shell approach and Chomsky`s light verb(v). It is well explained that there is an asymmetry between the goal dative construction and the benefactive dative construction if there is the light verb cwu base-generated on v in Korean. Through this cross-linguistic data, I expand the new approach to dative construction and double object construction.

직소(Jigsaw) 협동학습을 활용한 대학 교양영어독해 수업방안

The purpose of this study is to provide a rationale for utilizing Jigsaw cooperative learning for English reading classrooms in general education of university. Two research questions are addressed in this study: (1) How can the Jigsaw model-based cooperative learning be applied in the English reading classroom? (2) How are the learners`` reactions of the model class? For this goal, I examined the process of creating and implementing Jigsaw cooperative learning in the classroom and gave examples of how this teaching and learning strategy can be successfully used in the class. Along with the questionnaire for the evaluation of Jigsaw learning-based class conducted to 48 students, the interviews with 12 students were carried out. The results showed that Jigsaw model-based cooperative learning allowed learners to have more chances of communicating with class members, and to feel confident to be involved in the class actively. Finally the study suggests the importance of the professor``s role as a monitor or a guide should be emphasized in order to effectively activate reading classrooms. (Namseoul University)

영화를 활용한 영어 학습 방법

The purpose of this study is to develop a movie-based text as a teaching tool and propose a technique of presenting a movie in classes. Firstly, the researcher analyzes the importance of using movies and finds how to use movies as teaching materials in the classroom, focusing on Forrest Gump. Movies as an instructional media in classes offer benefits in the form of the authenticity of language, the provision of cultural context, the existence of visual supports, and the enhancement of motivation. Even though many teachers are interested in movies as teaching contents, they are not sure what and how to teach. Therefore, this study shows an example of an activity and task-based lesson plan based on Forrest Gump. Secondly, this paper investigates the result of 30 student surveys to measure the efficiency of the model class. The result of the study suggests that the students are satisfied with the movie-based class and recognize a movie as an excellent learning tool to motivate themselves. In future research there should show more specifically how students’ English has improved and what is the most effective teaching method. And it is expected to develop various movie-based texts to improve their English ability.

전시회 부스요원의 감성지능이 전시업체의 참가성과에 미치는 영향

This study sought to determine the impact of booth staff EI on the trade show performance of exhibitors. Relationships between booth staff EI and exhibitors trade show performance were first explored using structural equation modelling. Additional analyses were followed by exploring relationships among the four dimensions of EI. Out of 320 questionnaires distributed to on-site trade show booth staff, only 295 responses were considered as only those with no missing values were used for data analyses. Results showed a better fit of the structural model between the four-factors of EI and exhibitors trade show performance with a strong positive relationship evident between each emotional intelligence dimension and trade show success except for others-emotion appraisal and regulation of emotion. In addition, there exist positive causal relationships among the four dimensions of EI(i.e., self-emotion appraisal, others-emotion appraisal, use of emotion, and regulation of emotion). Overall, findings of this study enrich the theoretical development of the structural relationships between emotional intelligence and trade show performance.

The aim of this study is to discuss the asymmetry of English and Korean based on the goal of motion construction (GMC). According to Talmy’s proposal, verb-framed languages like Korean and satellite-framed languages like English are different regarding how they express the goal of motion construction. While Korean encodes path into complex verbs with directional verb like ka (go) creating a serial verb construction, the expression of path in English is always via some satellites (preposition or particles) and motion verbs typically encode only a manner component. In this study, I investigate how motion verbs and goal prepositions interact syntactically and semantically when they are combined to express goal motion events. Adopting a view of l-syntax starting from Folli & Ramchand (2005) and Ramchand (2008), I propose that the crucial clue regarding the asymmetry between English and Korean GMC comes from how they encode the telicity. When GMC license telic accomplishment interpretation, the goal PP in English functions as a secondary resultative predicate and contributes to bounded reading of the whole sentence (Beavers & Koontz-Garboden, 2012; Gulgowski, 2013; Lee, 2011; Son & Svenonius, 2008; Zubizarreta & Oh, 2008), but Korean encodes the telicity into complex verbs with directional verb such as go/come. 소비자가 인지한 CSR활동의 지각된 가치와 미래지향적 시간관이 소비자구매행동에 미치는 영향연구

본 연구는 소비자가 인지한 CSR활동의 지각된 가치(기능적 가치, 사회적 가치, 경제적 가치)가 사회적 연결감을 통해 소비자 구매행동(구매의도, 구전의도)에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 또한, 미래지향적 시간관이 사회적 연결감에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. CSR활동을 지각하고, 그 기업의 제품을 사용한 경험이 있는 전국의 일반 소비자 297명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 연구가설을 검증하기 위해 PLS 구조방정식모형(PLS-SEM)을 사용하여 검증한 결과, 첫째, 기능적 가치, 사회적 가치, 경제적 가치는 사회적 연결감에 긍정적인 영향을 준다. 둘째, 미래지향적 시간관은 사회적 연결감에 긍정적인 영향을 준다. 셋째, 사회적 연결감은 구매의도, 구전의도에 긍정적인 영향을 준다. 본 연구를 통해 기업 CEO 및 관계자들은 CSR활동을 소비자와 소통의 도구로 활용하고 기업과 친밀감을 증대시켜 구매행동으로 이어질 수 있는 마케팅 전략 수립이 이행되어야 할 것이다. This study attempted to examine the effect of the perceived value (functional, social, and economic value) of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities on consumer purchasing behavior (purchase intention, word-of-mouth intention) through a sense of social connectedness. In addition, the study sought to examine the effect of a future-oriented view of time on the sense of social connectedness. A total of 297 general consumers nationwide who were aware of CSR activities of a company and had experience using the companys products were the subjects of this study. As a result of verifying the research hypothesis using the partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM), it was observed that first, functional, social, and economic values have a positive effect on the sense of social connectedness. Second, the consumers future-oriented view of time has a positive effect on their sense of social connectedness. Third, a social connection has a positive effect on purchase and word-of-mouth intentions. Through this study, it is evident that corporate chief executive officers (CEOs) and stakeholders should use CSR activities as a tool to communicate with consumers and establish marketing strategies that can lead to purchasing behavior by increasing intimacy with their companies.
