Daily use characteristics of apparent power supplied to distribution transformer can be separated into two different time zone of waking hours and sleeping hours. In sleeping hours, using amount of power is decreasing. The actual curve of power seemed to be quite similar to this kind of separation. Inserting a condenser into a circuit in each different time zone led to maximize power factor of the transformer. The compensating condensers on/off time is controlled by hysteresis circuit utilizing op amp and power factor of the transformer was improved from 0.945 to 0.999. As a result, the average of current reduction was 2.53A per hour of transformer.

This study presents an optimal design of transformer in which core cross-section area, length, and window area are utilized, so that the currently existing proposition is reviewed to be economical when core value approximates the coil value. This transformer design has resulted that the optimal value can be obtained when coil value is higher than core value by 20%-30%. Furthermore, this new design is provided to have outgrown the past trial and error and makes it possible to design to design a more sophisticated transformer.

In this paper it is shown the application and derivation of Kalman-Jakubovich-Lemma for hyper-stability. The Kalman-Jakubovich-Lemma based on passive system, can be applied to SISO(Single Input, Single-Output) system, mutivaliable control system and non-linear control system.

서어보계의 점간이동 동작에서 정지점 부근의 충격을 최소화하는 것을 중심으로 하고 겸하여 시간과 에너지까지 포함한 평가함수를 최소로 하는 제어방식을 제안하였다. 제안한 제어방식은 직류전동기를 동력장치로 이용한 제어계를 설계하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션하였다. 그 결과 기대한 제어특성을 얻었으면, 본 제어방식은 뱅-뱅 및 포화-비례제어 방식보다 정지점 부근의 충격, 정상오차, 시간, 에너지 등이 가장 적은 것을 알았다. In the point-to-point motion on servo system, a control mode which minimizes the performance index including the impact of end point, time and energy, is proposed. The proposed control modes 1 and 2 applied to the feed-back control system of D.C motor and then a computer simulation is conducted. The control mode 1 had less the impact of end point, steady state error, time and energy than the mode 2 or the bang-bang control mode.

This study is intended to investigate the current status of A-V instruction and learning in higher education in Korea. A couple of questionnaires were developed for the study: one for instructional media centers (IMC) and the other for the professors who were presumed to employ A-V instructional approach to their teaching. Responses obtained from 30 IMC personnels interviewed with the ready-made questionnaire and those from 251 professors our of 1,000 professors selected by stratified random sampling were analyzed. The results of the study show that 1) 70% of IMCs investigated retained A-V production equipments and facilities; 2) 79% of professors responded to the questionnaire utilized A-V instructional media for their teaching although they were not able to get adquate technical services from IMCs of the universities to which they belong; 3)Only 69% of IMCs were found to have a few of A-V technicians competent enough to render appropriate services; and 4) Inter-university IMC loan services, within university IMC loan services and A-V media production activities of each IMC were found to be inanimate because of low budget and shortage in professional A-V personnels. The results of the study evidently indicate that currently existing A-V education departments are not able to supply A-V professionals demanded by the higher educational institutes in Korea. So it is urgent to establish such department as instructional media and technology that is geared to cultivate engineers whose competence will be in A-V media production, purchasing/classification of media hardware as well as software and repair and maintenance of A-V equipments.
A Study of Tracking Failures of U-matic Video Tape Recorder(VTR)

Maintenance and Repairing is one of the most essential elements for the operation of the educational facilities used in the educational filed. And the Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of the facilites can be reduced by the easiness of them. This paper is dealt with the fundamental principles of U-matic VTR, then represented the frequency of failures of VTR occurred in the practice field. Based on the above, this paper proposes the method to eliminate the Tracking Failures by representing the mechanical adjustment of the Aduio/Control Head(A/C Head) which is one of the highest failure factors.
