        Feedback is a valuable mechanism that can be applied to interaction between computer as a teacher and its users, so called learners of CAL. This study has attempted to explore underlying assumptions that may be the foundation of hypothesizing interaction between learner traits and feedback type. One dimension of such assumptions has been developed in regard to vertical difference in learner traits. In this respect, learner traits have been searched mostly by following cognitive development theory of J. Piaget. The other dimension was developed through this study in regard to differences on horizontal basis. In this aspect, examined were traits of three CAI learning groups such as illiterati. literati who possess only basic 3R skills, and average adults whose literacy level is relatively high enough to adapt to the rapid changes of modern society.

        This study is intended to explore the right career types of Holland's for media techbology students. Holland presented six types of career development types including realistic(R), investigative(I), artistic(A), enterprising(E), social(S), and conventional(C). Holland asserted one out of above six types or combination of more than one type out of six fits to a particular working environment. Students of media technology recently face the drastically changing working environment in which analog media have been overwhelmed by digital media. The dominant power of digital media pushes technical people in media field from realistic(R) to combination of realistic(R) and artistic(A) working conditions whereas pushing artistic(A) and social (S) people into combination of artistic (A) and social (S) with realistic(R) environments. To cope with such an unanticipated changing surroundings, it's necessary to outgrow traditional instructional method at present and quickly adopt internet and web based instruction (WBI) in which cooperative learning, self-directed learning as well as individualized learning can be fully activated, to bring forth creative individual workers in media fields.

      • 구성주의 철학과 정보사회의 교수매체 활용 방안 연구

        Computer Based Instruction(CBI) with other digital information media have widely been dispersed in the information oriented societal environments. Constructivism has become one of the main interests of instructional media technologists today. Efforts are made to adapt constructivists' points of view to planning, designing, implementation, management, and utilization of information media in the field of education. It is intended in this exploratory study to analyze/synthesize 1) learners characteristics of the information society, 2) aspects of interactivity in utilizing CBI as well as telecommunication, and 3) adaptation of constructivism to the use of CBI and telecommunication media for information consumers who are recognized as learners. Conclusions are made in such theoretical assumptions to be validated by follow-up studies that constructivism will be the center of their paradigms in expanding freedom and creativity of learners in the information society in which computer technology combined with telecommunication technology is widely generalized.

        Throughout this paper, examined were the concept and 4P mix of marketing as well as characteristics of each P of marketing to come up with pertinent advertising strategies demanded on each stage of product life cycle(PLC). PLC is made up of 5 stages including introduction, growth, maturation, saturation and decline stage. For each stage required is the various advertising strategies so as to enhance promotion activities of enterprise. On introduction stage, advertising is recommended to informe character, quality, advantage of a new product. On growth stage, advertising must appeal to mass consumers of superiority in design and quality of product over those of other products in competition. On maturity stage, the best design and quality of the goods must be emphasized W/unique selling proposition (U.S.P.) in order to meet the needs of consumers pride and efficiency of the product. As at this stage competition among enterprises is apt to rise up radically, product differentiation and market segmentation must be fully utilized. As on saturation stage the net selling amount of goods may start to deline, most enterprises tend to reduce advertising expense in proportion to the decline rate of the net selling amount of goods. However, more investigation is necessary for advertising to maintain the same level of net selling amount. At this stage, marketing strategies must be reexamined/reestablished in price, place, and promotion. At the decline stage, the goods are apt no longer to be sold in the market. Accordingly, the enterprise must use 'Conversion' strategy' so that new product of the company can be informed to mass consumers and so that attention and interest on the newly coming product can be arisen Among mass consumers.

      • 커뮤니케이션 요소(Symbol)의 장·단기 기억효과 연구

        This research study examined various research materials an symbolic treatments and STS & LTS effects of symbols including iconic as well as noniconic signs. Researches reviewed reveal that those who receive the information made up of symbols go through the following stages as attention, perception, comprehension, learning, attitude change, retention and retrieval. It seems to be that retention of information differs depending upon how symbols involved are treated. Such theories as Dual Coding Processing and Depth of Processing were utilized to explain the phenomena of comprehension, retention, and forgetting. Both Dual Coding Processing and Depth of Processing suggest that information retained in STS may disappear within 30 seconds unless opportunities to rehearse stimuli are given and that information retained in STS will be modified by redundany rehearsal before transfered to LTS. Therefore, information retained in STS are different from that retained in LTS in terms of their characteristics. According to DOP, stimuli perceived by human sensor are processed to different depth. In first stage, physical characteristics of object is processed in shallow level, in second stage, information is processed to the extent that comprehension takes place, and in the last stage, information is settled in cognitive structure. Results of the study indicate that 1) familiar stimuli including verbal and nonverbal signs are processed rapidly to the deepest level cause the stimuli is compatible with cognitive structure; 2) analysis speed of stimuli may not predict retention, where as retention depends upon attention and perception; 3) limited capacity of information processing places stimuli in shallow processing level for a period; and 4) stimuli, whether it's iconic or noniconic, are processed efficiently only when appropriate cues are accompanied.

      • 학습영역의 Taxonomy에 기초한 CD-ROM Title의 효과분석

        Multimedia technology is gradually being expanded due to the rapidly developing computer technology. Today learners are attracted to the interactive learning method to which multimedia technologies are applied so that students' needs toward using multimedia deliver such earning situation where difficulties in transferring learned knowledge to actual working situation could be reduced noticeably. The hypotheses established on the basis of Bloom's taxonomy were tested to find out the effectiveness and efficiency of using CD ROM Title in learning nonlinear digital editing. Both experimental and control group were established and tested for the study. 30 technical high school students were assigned to experimental group where subjects studied nonlinear editing with the CD ROM Title whereas 30 technical high school students were assigned to the control group where no experimental treatments were given. The results of the study indicate that 1) subjects of the experimental group achieved higher in knowledge acquisition , comprehension and analysis as compared to their counterparts: and 2) subjects of the experimental group showed better attitude in some affective learning such as receiving and response as compared to their counterparts.

      • 심체학습에 대한 학습세무단계 제시 및 비디오를 통한 환류효과에 관한 연구

        This study is intended to explore the relationships which may exist between the characteristics of a psychomotor learning, juggling with three racket balls and instructional treatments. One of the instructional treatments employed for the study was a step-step guideline of juggling with three racket balls and the other treatment was the videotaping of individual learner's practicing behavior. The former was presented to subjects at the beginning of learning session as a prereponse material. The latter was used as a feedback to juggling behavior. Four male freshmen of the Seoul National Polytechnic University were selected and each subject was treated differently from one another. All the subject had served in the army for three years and their age ranged from 25 to 26. The entry levels of all the subjects were considered same with regard to aptitude and ability in juggling with three racket balls. The experiment lasted for 7 days. Each subject was asked to practice 30 minutes each day under the same given condition. The results of study show that subject treated with instructional guideline as a preresponse material performed better than their counterparts. Subjects treated either with instructional guideline alone or with videotaping alone performed better than the subject who not instructionally treated. Subject whose behaviors were videotaped and reviewed their motions through video showed relatively better hand and body posture and tossed balls to the right spot more frequently at the end of the experiment, as compared to non-videotaped subjects. Findings of the study suggest that in juggling with three racket balls,1) rehearal speed will gradually increase until movement accuracy is obtained ;2) speed accuracy methodology is more efficient instructional treatment than is the accuracy-speed methodology; and 3) videotaping of movements belongs to the extrinsic feedback and is very helpful for self-evaluation as well as behavior modification

      • 직업훈련 기술이론교육에 대한 겹치기 투시화의 효과 : Benjamin Bloom의 학습목표별 장기 성취도를 중심으로

        This research study examined the effects of overlapped transparencies to a technical theory course offered by Korean vocational training institute. The underlying assumption of the study was that efficient utilization of overlapped transparencies would enhance the achievement of various educational objectives classified by Benjamin Bloom on the basis of long -term store (LTS). The objectives that were chosen to be achieved by both experimental group and control group include teminology, drawing, identification, extrapolation, comprehension and synthesis. A total of 65 students who had just entered the vocational institute were assigned for the experiment. 41 out of 65 students were assigned to the experimental group and the rest were assigned to the control group. The entry levels of experimental group students were lower than those of control group .The entry levels of experimental group students were lower than those of control group students. Therefore the analysis of covariance was done in order to compare the degree of achievement between experimental group and control group by eliminating the influence brought by difference in entry behavior of subjects. The results of the study indicate that 1) in LTS the achievement in terminology and synthesis were significantly higher for the experimental group than for the control group, and 2) in LTS the achievement in drawing, identification, comprehension and extrapolation were not significantly higher for experimental group as compared to those of control group. The results of this study also show that achievements of educational objectives were different from those in STS. This may be explained by the theory in which without rehearsal the contents retained in short-term store (STS) will decay as time goes by or won't be transferred to long-term store(LTS).

Therefore, if is no longer legitimate to expect all students to achieve mastery over the same instructional materials in the same amount of time. The educational cognitive style (ECS) is a concept for describing an individual's mode of behavior in searching for meaning. This study explores the ways of matching the educational cognitive style (ECS) and mode of presenting instructional material so as to maximize the learning efficiency.

      • 학습영역의 Taxonomy에 기초한 비디오자료의 효과 분석

        This reesearch study is designed to investigate effects of the video program which was planned and produced to introduce 2+1 system newly adopted for Korean technical high school students. The video program was developed to persuade those students and teachers in technical highschool sector who were reluctant to participate in the newly adopted 2+1 system. 2+1system was created by the results of careful examination of Dual System of Germany and Sandwich System of England as well as other advanced technical training system of industrially advanced foreign countries. However, societal consciousness of Korea had been known to be so low that government had experienced difficulties to carry on this innovative system in technical high school education. In order to overcome such difficulties, government initiated to develop the video program in which both Korean and English langkuage were used to introduce role, benefit, perspective and successful case stories on 2+1 system. In general, video programs including televised video programs, no matter how well they were made, have hardly shown their effects beyond levels such as adoptation in cognitive domain, valuing in affective domain, and relatively lower stratum in psychomotor domain. After production of 2+1 system video program, three groups were compared to find out how high subjects achieve in cognitive domain. Results of experiment showed that subjects listening synopsis beforehand and watching the video program achieved highest scores in comprehension and analysis and that subjects watching the video program only achieved better score than the subjects who didn't watch the same video program. All the subjects were enrolled in the fall semester of 2nd year at technical high school where 2+1 system was being carried on and all of subjects were presumed to know 2+1 system to some extent.
