Our society is enforced to enter an aging society, and a super-aged society with an increasing the average span of life recently. Therefore this paper aims to investigate the prospects and strategy of silver industry in Daegu region. First, in order to estimate the prospects of silver industry in Daegu, 1) The trend of increasing an old person 2) The falling of traditional values of the supporting parents 3) The improvement of spending limit and the diversity of consumption in old people and so on will be reviewed. And an important elements which are assumed good conditions for silver industry in Daegu, such as 4) City of having traditional values 5) A full of resources for academic-industrial cooperation 6) The merit of preoccupation of silver industry. Second, I investigate the important silver industries which are fostered in Daegu, such as 1) The development of a town for the aged 2) Research of medical services and equipments for old people 3) Complex development for the manufacturing industry of silver equipments. Lastly, I suggest the support policies of Daegu City regional government for silver industry.

사회학에서 화폐에 관한 논의는 매우 이례적이며 단편적인 경우에 해당한다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 화폐가 우리 사회에서 가지는 의미는 깊고 넓다. 본 논문에서는 화폐가 커뮤니케이션을 매개하는 매체라는 관점에서 그 사회적 의의를 살펴보고자 한다. 먼저, 파슨스와 하버마스, 루만과 같은 학지들은 근대 사회의 형성에 있어서 화폐 매체가 갖는 의의에 대하여 관심을 가지고, 근대 사회 출현 과정에서 경제 부문의 분화 과정을 ‘사회 체계’라는 맥락 가운데서 화폐를 다루었다. 화폐를 중심으로 그들의 이론적 관점을 따라가 봄으로써 근대 사회에서 화폐가 가지는 의의를 확인할 수 있었다. 화폐 코드화는 우리에게 새로운 통찰력을 제시해 주고, 현실을 새로운 시각에서 다시 성찰할 수 있는 기회를 제공해 준다. 화폐에 의한 양가적 코드(지불/ 비지불)로 사회적 과정의 합리화와 새로운 자유의 획득, 거래 또는 커뮤니케이션의 확장을 가능하게 하였으나, 오늘날 화폐 코드의 비정상적 확장은 다른 체계의 자기준거적 연산 방식조치 파괴하고 흡수해 버리는 지경에 이르고 있다. 오늘날, 화폐는 혼성 결합을 통하여 끊임없이 진화하고 있다. 화폐 교환에 의한 사회적 관계의 확대는 오늘날 컴퓨터에 의한 인터넷과의 결합을 통하여 거대한 폭발력을 보였다. 이제 전자화폐와 인터넷에 의해 전 지구적 규모의 유기적 상호의존성을 구축하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 오늘날 우리의 문화 내용을 이루고 있는 객관 문화(물질 문화)의 우세, 개인주의 문화의 팽창, 삶의 속도의 가속화 또한 화폐 매체와 밀접한 관련성을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 오늘날 문화현상을 이해하고 설명하기 위해서는 화폐에 대한 이해로부터 출발해야 한다고 볼 수 있다. The discussion on money has been exceptional or sketchy in sociology. However the meaning of money in our society is deep and broad. So this study aims to examine the sociological significances of money as a media in terms of communication. Scholars like Parsons, Habermas and Luhman are specially interested in what money meant in the formation of the modern society and they also mentioned economic sphere in the advent of modern society as ‘social system.’ Therefore, we can understand the meaning of money in the modern society by following their theories focused on money. Money encode suggests fresh insights and also offers us chance to reflect the reality in new perspective. It achieved rationalization in social process, new freedom, and transactions or communicational expansion by bi-valued code(pay / non-pay) of money. However, abnormal expansion of money code today is now finally destructing other self referenced system by that of money. Today, money is endlessly evolving the process of hybridization. The expansion of social relations by currency exchanges now is presenting us huge explosion through combining with computer and internet. And today, electronic money is now forming global-unit interdependence through the internet. In addition, superiority of material culture which is now a part of our culture, expansion of individualism, and acceleration of our lives are also closely related to money. Therefore, we can finally understand and explain recent cultural state by comprehending money.

시뮬라시옹 사회의 그늘 -화폐, 파생금융상품, 그리고 글로벌 금융위기-

The global financial crisis of 2008 revealed structural and innate problems with the system of world economy, and made the ruling ideology of neo-liberalism skeptical by leading to the collapse of major businesses, the significant decrease of consumer wealth, the fall of investor confidence, and the damage of monetary institutions all over the world. And it also stimulated to find out alternates or new models for understanding those substantial problems. , there are some differences between the financial crisis of 2008 and the Dutch tulip market collapse of 1637, or the Great Depression of 1930 in terms of its causes and characteristics. Using the concept of `simulacre` formulated by Baudrillard, this essay analyzed both the evolutionary process of money and the global financial crisis. As a consequence, it shows that our contemporary daily world already has some features of `simulation society,` and that the financial crisis was generated by the combination of unconvertible money and electronic devices, as a typical model of the third simulacre.

``Candlelit Demonstrations`` after U.S.-Korea beef agreement was settled in mid-April of 2008 were critically complicated issued connected with economical, political, diplomatic and scientific facts. However, it drew our attention to ``the struggles among media`` and a huge flow of alternation in the field of communication environment. Therefore, at first, this paper examines the participation of various media in ``Candlelit Demonstrations`` and how media struggle in order to persuade or induce the citizen. Secondly, the shifted paradigm of communication environment has been established recently through the widespread use of electronic media which can provide the citizen with two-way communication. So the research would focus on how the electronic media raise the possibility of a creative communication overcoming one-way communication system of existing mass media such as newspaper and broadcasting. Thirdly, the importance of streets and squares which are coincided ideally with Habermas`s ``public sphere`` will be examined, and the explosive influence of them also will be reviewed. Lastly, the struggles for media and communication field both in the process and after ``Candlelit Demonstrations`` will be checked.
