The purpose of this study is to analyze the thermal performance of steel framed wall including heat bridge. The thermal performance is determined for wall system because steel-framed walls are comprised of various materials as usual. Light gauge steel framed housing offers many advantages, such as a fast construction or a low price, to the consumer and the builder. But the use of steel studs in wall systems cause thermal problems such as decrease of thermal performance and the cold bridge on walls. The main reason of such problems lies in the fact that steel studs create a heat bridge zone within the wall section. In such circumstances, this research aims at analyzing such problems through a simulation and an experiment of steel stud framed wall system according to wall composition.

Sound insulation performance is one of essential element of various kinds factor that accomplish amenity of housing life in residential building. Specially, Korean habitat is represented into apartment. it is trend that importance of privacy and noise problem between habitable rooms are emphasized much more in these habitat. This study examines interior drywall system of apartment housings. By studying references and field investigations about interior drywall system of apartment housing, interior drywall system is classified into four large groups; gypsum board, light-weight concrete composite panel, extruded concrete panel, and the others. In addition, The purpose of this study was to evaluate and analyze the acoustic performance of a drywall system through field measurement of airborne sound insulation. It is appeared that sound insulation testing result of gypsum board specimen is superior to others. In case of gypsum board specimen, sound insulation performance is Rw52 for the single-number quantity for airbone sound.

In general, light gauge steel framed walls are comprised of various materials which include steel studs. The steel stud causes thermal problems such as the thermal bridge. Therefore, It is complicated to calculate the thermal performance of steel stud framed wall systems and there are some errors between calculation and measurement. In such circumstances, this research aims at predicting the thermal performance of steel framed walls through calculations and experiments of steel stud framed wall systems according to a wall composition. As a result, the prediction equation was extracted from regression analysis methods. The average error ratio between the predictions and the measurements was -3.61%.

The thermal and condensation performance of steel stud walls are monitored in steel-framed schools of Ee-Wol Elementary School and kindergarten using temperature and humidity sensors installed. The monitoring process carried out during the summer and winter period, shows decrement effect of the external heat flow to be quite remarkable and excellent. And steel stud walls provides a highly efficient time-lag effect in spite of its light weight property, with 30 minutes to 4 hours time-lag for external heat flow, which variation mainly depends on its location of each part of the wall. Any condensation phenomena are not observed in either external or internal surfaces.
스틸스터드 구조 건식벽체의 마감재 공법에 따른 단열성능 실험 평가

In this study, a prediction equation for drywalls based on the steel stud structural frame was proposed by performing actual-scale experiments and using statistical methods based on regression analysis. A performance laboratory based on the calibrated hot box method consisting of a hot box, a constant temperature chamber, and a low temperature chamber was set up to measure thermal insulating performance. To propose an equation for predicting the thermal insulating performance, regression analysis for measured values for thermal insulating performance according to the thickness of the materials consisting of the wall was performed. Results showed that installing external thermal insulations was effective in improving thermal performance of steel studs framed dry wall.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate and analyze the acoustic performance of a drywall through field measurement of airborne sound insulation. Especially, specimens are family-to-family walls for apartment buildings. The result of acoustic performance is as follows. Airborne sound insulation is measured aluminum channel wall(Rw+C 50), steel channel wall(Rw+C 51), concrete panel wall(Rw C 49).

Background: Pancreatic cystic lesions (PCLs) are occasionally found in solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients. In such recipients, the risk of cancer is increased due to immunosuppressive therapy. This study investigated the prevalence of PCLs and described their clinical course in immunosuppressed patients following SOT. Methods: The presence of PCLs in a retrospective cohort of 805 consecutive SOT recipients from 2009 to 2019 was examined. The characteristics of PCLs were compared using initial and follow-up imaging, where available. These results were compared to an age- and sex-matched immunocompetent control group monitored for at least 12 months. Results: PCLs were present in 15 of 805 SOT patients (seven liver and eight kidney transplantations). The median diameter of the largest lesion was 20 mm (range, 0.2–60 mm) and 60% of lesions were benign. During follow-up imaging, the cyst size remained stable in 46.7%, increased in 13.3%, and decreased in 40.0% of the SOT group. Significantly more of the SOT patients showed PCL size reductions (P=0.007). Among SOT patients diagnosed with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (6/15), worrisome features were noted in one patient at the time of cyst diagnosis. Differences in the development of worrisome features between the study and control groups were not statistically significant. Conclusions: The malignant transformation of PCLs in SOT recipients is rare and most such PCLs can be managed conservatively. The presence of a PCL should therefore not affect transplant eligibility.
