웹툰 IP를 활용한 컨버전스 전략 연구 <웹툰싱어>를 중심으로

현재 콘텐츠 산업에서 콘텐츠 IP의 중요성이 강조되면서, 원천 콘텐츠를 활용한 IP 확장이 활발하다. 이러한 추세로 예능 프로그램에서도 웹툰 IP를 활용한 시도가 등장하고 있으며, 포맷의 구성 요소 간 컨버전스 전략의 필요성이 부각되고 있다. 컨버전스에 대한 선행 연구는 컨버전스의 이론적 기반을 마련하였으나, 새롭게 창출되는 컨버전스 유형 및 양상의 개념을 포괄하지 못했고, 컨버전스 효과와 향유 결과에 관한 구체적인연구도 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본고에서는 컨버전스를 정의하고, 이러한 컨버전스 전략의 가장 실험적인 사례인 <웹툰싱어>에 주목하였다. 본고는 <웹툰싱어>의 포맷에서 웹툰 IP 활용 양상을 분석하고, 사례를 통해 컨버전스 효과를 평가하여 웹툰 IP를 활용한 예능 프로그램 전략을 도출하였다. 연구 결과, <웹툰싱어>는 웹툰 IP 를 프로그램 지배소로 다양하게 활용하였고, 웹툰 IP마다 변별성을 가진 음악 무대를 생산해 새로운 체험 창출의 장을 마련하며 ‘웹툰뮤직쇼’라는 장르를 창안하였다. 또한, 실제 사례를 통해서 웹툰과 음악 무대 요소가 유기적이고 복합적으로 결합할 때 컨버전스가 발생했고, 다양한 연결성의 층위를 드러내며 웹툰의 변별성이 음악 무대에서 강하게 나타났다. 이를 통해 다양한 미디어 플랫폼으로의 확장과 향유가 강화되었음을 확인하였다. <웹툰싱어>를 통한 예능 프로그램 원천 소스로서 웹툰 IP 활용 전략은 ① 웹툰 IP를 지배소로 하는 다양한 활용 방식을 통해 새로운 체험 창출의 장을 마련하고 ② 컨버전스 활성화 요인을 전략적으로 강화해야 하며 ③ 웹툰 IP 를 활용해 다양한 층위의 연결성을 생산해 향유를 강화해야 한다. As the importance of content IP is emphasized in the current content industry, IP expansion using original content is active. With this trend, attempts to utilize webtoon IP are emerging in entertainment programs, and the need for a convergence strategy between format components is being highlighted. Previous research on convergence has laid the theoretical foundation for convergence, but has not encompassed the concept of newly created convergence types and aspects, and there is a lack of specific research on the effects and enjoyment of convergence. Therefore, in this paper, we defined convergence and focused on <Webtoon Singer>, the most experimental example of this convergence strategy. This paper analyzed the usage pattern of Webtoon IP in the format of <Webtoon Singer>, evaluated the convergence effect through examples, and derived an entertainment program strategy using Webtoon IP. As a result of the study, <Webtoon Singer> utilized webtoon IPs as a key element in various ways and created a genre called ‘Webtoon Music Show’ by producing music stages with unique characteristics for each webtoon IP, creating a venue for new experiences. In addition, through actual cases, convergence occurred when webtoons and music stage elements were combined organically and complexly and the distinctiveness of webtoons was strongly demonstrated on the music stage by revealing various layers of connectivity. Through this, it was confirmed that the expansion and enjoyment of various media platforms was strengthened. The strategy of using Webtoon IP as an entertainment program source through analysis of <Webtoon Singer> is to: ① provide a venue for creating new experiences through various utilization methods with Webtoon IP as the key element, ② strategically strengthen convergence activation factors, and ③ Webtoon IP Enjoyment should be strengthened by producing connectivity at various levels.

이 연구는 성인부 태권도를 운영하고 있는 지도자의 경험을 탐색하여 성인부 태권도 활성화 방안을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해, 서울 및 경기도권에 소재하고 성인부 태권도를 운영 중인 지도자 4인을 대상으로 심층 면담을 시행하였다. 수집된 자료를 범주화 과정을 통해 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 저출산 문제로 인한 성인 태권도의 전환이다. 연령층에 상관없이 배울 수 있는 대중적 이미지로 만들어야 한다. 둘째, 성인 태권도 수련의 효과 대비 생활체육으로의 발전방안 부제이다. 성인이 태권도를 수련했을 때의 얻어지는 긍정적 효과에 비해 생활체육으로 적합하다는 인식을 못 하고 있으며이에 대한 발전 방안을 찾아야 한다. 셋째, 성인을 위한 태권도의 이미지 개선과 홍보다. 지속적인 홍보를 통해 태권도가 더이상 유소년만을 위한 것이 아닌 전 연령층에 적합한 운동이라는 것을 심어주어야 한다. 넷째, 성인 전문 프로그램 및 접근 편의성이다. 성인 태권도를 위해서는 안전한 시설 및 쾌적한 환경을 구성하여 성인부 태권도를 활성화 시켜야 한다. The purpose of this study was to explore strategies for the activation of adult Taekwondo by examining the experiences of instructors who operated adult Taekwondo programs. To achieve the research objectives, in-depth interviews were conducted with four instructors running adult Taekwondo programs in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The collected data were categorized and analyzed, resulting in the following findings: First, there was a shift towards adult Taekwondo due to low birth rates. Taekwondo needed to be rebranded as a popular sport that could be learned regardless of age. Second, there was a lack of development strategies for promoting Taekwondo as a form of recreational sport, despite the benefits of adult Taekwondo training. Although Taekwondo had positive effects on adults, it was not widely recognized as suitable for recreational sports, and strategies to change this perception needed to be identified. Third, there was a need for an improved image and promotion of Taekwondo for adults. Continuous promotion was necessary to instill the idea that Taekwondo was not only for children but also an appropriate exercise for all age groups. Fourth, specialized programs and accessibility for adults were essential. To activate adult Taekwondo, safe facilities and a comfortable environment had to be provided.

The object of this study is to research the policy for the development of Taekwondo performance contents and its growth with the opportunity of continued national attention and support. For this object, good practice of similar contents which are helpful references for Taekwondo were researched with qualitative method and results are as follows. First, tighter specialized policy for Taekwondo performance contents is required. Second, tighter artistry policy for Taekwondo performance contents is necessary. Third, an education policy is required to secure Taekwondo performance contents’ expertise and artistry. Forth, expanded Taekwondo base and market policy are needed. With this study, Taekwondo performance contents which is made from Korean national sport are expected to develop as Korea national brand performance and grow as world performance contents.
