        A study of six newly recorded species of cyanobacteria (Cyanophyceae, Cyanophyta) in Korea

        The aim of this study was to discover and describe new genera and species of cyanobacteria in Korea. Aquatic and aerial algae were collected from various environments in the Han River and Nakdong River watersheds between August 2009 and October 2015. As a result, one genus and six species of cyanobacteria were newly recorded in Korea. The newly recorded genus for Korea was Capsosira; newly recorded species were Capsosira brebissonii, Rivularia minutula, Chamaesiphon amethystinus, Leptolyngbya margaretheana, Pseudanabaena arcuata, and Rhabdoderma lineare.

        A study of newly recorded genera and species of aerial algae in the order Chlorococcales (Chlorophyta) from the Hongcheon-river, Korea

        Aerial algae were sampled from 28 sites on rocks, tree barks, and mosses along the Hongcheon-river in Gangwon-do,Korea, from December 2011 to September 2012 and then cultivated. Seven genera and eight species of the order Chlorococcaleswere newly recorded in Korea. These were Spongiococcum tetrasporum, Tetracystis aggregata, Myrmecia bisecta,Coenocystis inconstans, Lobosphaeropsis pyrenoidosa, Pseudococcomyxa simplex, Coelastrella oocystiformis, and C. vacuolata. As a result, the known Korean flora of the order Chlorococcales now includes 12 families with 54 genera, 263 species,76 varieties, and 27 forma, giving a total of 366 taxa.

        A study of eight newly reported species of Chlorophyte and Eustigmatophyte, Korea

        In this study, aquatic and aerial algae were collected in various environments in Hongcheon-river of Gangwan-do betweenDecember 2011 and June 2012, with the aim of adding newly described genera and species to the Korean flora. Asa result, five genera and eight species were recorded for the first time in Korea. These newly recorded genera and specieswere Cylindrocapsa geminella, Leptosira mediciana, Pseudendoclonium basiliense var. brandii, Stichococcus minor,S. deasonii, Eustigmatos polyphem, Nephrodiella lunaris, and Xanthonema exile. The eight taxa identified in this studymostly corresponded to their reported morphological characteristics. However, some differences from previous publisheddescriptions were found; N. lunaria, reported to be an aquatic species in a previous study, was found to be an aerialalgae inhabiting on rocks and mosses. Cylindrocapsa geminella was found to transform into attached or planktonic algaedepending on the environmental condition, and the cell wall was found to be changed. Likewise, E. polyphem was seen tochange cell-shape or chloroplast color according to the environment.

      • Poly(ethylene glycol)을 도입한 공중합체의 제조와 기체투과 성능

        본 연구는 둘 이상의 기체혼합물에서 높은 이산화탄소 분리성능을 위해 Poly(ethylene glycol)로 개질된 Graft copolymer로 film을 제조 하였다. 높은 기체 선택성을 가져 분리막으로 널리 사용되는 Polysulfone을 클로로메틸화하고, 구조적으로 이산화탄소에 높은 친화성을 가지는 Poly(ethylene glycol)을 사용하였다. 분자량이 5000인 Poly ethylene glycol을 사용하였고 합성된 공중합체는 TGA와 DSC로 고분자의 열적특성을 확인하고 FT-IR 과 1H-NMR을 이용하여 화학구조를 분석하였다. Time lag 기계를 사용하여 Film의 기체투과 성능을 조사하였으며, Poly(ethylene glycol)의 분자량에 따른 효과를 알아보았다.

        아동 소비자의 소비생활문제에 관한 연구

        The purpose of thii study was to examine children s consumption level and related factors in an effort to lay the foundation for teaching children to lead rational consumer life and for improving consumer welfare, as it s assumed in this study that children's consumption problems would affect themselves throughout their lives. This study specifically intended to find cut (1) child consumer problems, (2) how children s consumption problems were affected by their demographic variables, (3) whether consumerducation experience made any differences to their consumption problems at school, home and society, and (4) what types of demographic and consumer-education wiables exercised influence on consumption problems. The findings of this study were as follows: First, children investigated were found to have middle level of consumption problems. Purchasing goods scored the lowest, and using goods scored the highest among consumption problems. Second, it turned out that boys suffered more consumption problems than girls. The reason seemed that as boys generally have lower experience in consumption attitude. Third, as to the correlation of the children s consumption problems to their consumer-education experience, money management was significantly associated with the presence or absence of experience to learn at school how to manage and save allowances. Also, the experience of consumer education by parents made a significant difference. The children s consumer consciousness and attitude varied with their experience to receive consumer education from mass media.

        The distribution and ecological factors of aerial algae inhabiting stoneworks in Korea

        The physico-chemical and environmental factors of stoneworks were examined from March 2009 to October 2010, and aerial algae living on 24 stoneworks in Korea were identified. Fifty aerial algae were found in 24 stoneworks. Of the 50 taxa,30 taxa were cyanophytes, 16 taxa were bacillariophytes, 3 taxa were chlorophytes, and 1 taxon was a xanthophyte. Nine species, including Aphanocapsa rivularis, which is known to only live in aquatic conditions, inhabited both aquatic and aerial environments. Synechococcus aeruginosus, Scytonema coactile var. thermalis, S. coactile var. minor, Stigonema ocellatum f. ocellatum, and Oscillatoria boryana were newly recorded in Korea. As a result of a correlation analysis between algae and the physico-chemical and ecological environmental factors, the taxa were divided into the bryophyte group,the humidity group, and the dry group. Although the bryophyte group was included within the humidity group, it was separated from the dry group. Taxa in the bryophyte group including Nostoc commune which was distributed in more humid areas than those in the humidity group. However, dry group taxa including Chroococcus pallidus were distributed in lower humidity than that of the two other groups. Correlations among other environmental factors were tested to identify other factors that could substitute for humidity and light intensity. As a result, tree distance, water distance, and plant coverage were replaceable environmental factors.

      • 직접 메탄올 연료전지용 SPAES/Sulfonated MMT 유⋅무기 복합막의 특성평가

        직접 메탄올 연료전지(Direct Methanol Fuel Cells)는 액상의 메탄올을 연료로 직접 사용하는 전기 에너지 전환 장치로서 연료의 값이 싸고 취급이 용이하며 초소형화가 가능하다. Montmorillonite (MMT)가 첨가된 고분자 전해질 분리막의 경우 열적⋅물리적 성질이 개선되며 메탄올 투과도가 감소되는 장점을 가지고 있지만 이온전도도는 감소가 되는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 술폰산기(-SO3H)를 포함하는 MMT를 제조하여 Sulfonated Poly(arylene ether sulfone)(SPAES) 고분자와 sulfonated MMT(sulMMT)를 혼합하여 유⋅무기 복합막을 제조하고 특성평가가 이루어졌다.
