일본군 점령시기 상하이 작가 선지(沈寂) 소설 연구 ― 문학과 매체의 관계를 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to research Shen Ji’s short stories and novellas in Shanghai under Japanese ruling, 1942-1945. Shen Ji (1924-2016) was one of the most popular and successful writer of the time, though, he has been overlooked in the current scholarly works on occupied Shanghai’s literature. The main goal of this paper is to close read and examine about thirty short stories and novellas by Shen. This paper also challenges the previous nationalistic intepretation of “anti-Japanese” put on Shen’s novellas, offering a pulural reading of the novellas. This paper has no intention of disparaging interpretation of “anti-Japanese” resist, but rather to deny it’s final and only position in reading Shen’s novellas. To this end, this paper applies a perspective of media, a method heretofore unused in previous scholarly works, with a focus on relationships between Shen’s novellas and literary journals. Shen’s novellas are closely related to litrary journals which printed his works. To be specific, each journal’s charicteristics such as editorial strategies, political background, cultural orientation of editor-in-chief could influence on Shen’s writing. Chapter two and three respectively examines works printed in The Fiction Monthly and The Phenomena Monthly: While the former provided the opportunity for Shen Ji, an obscure writer, to publish early works; the latter supported him to gain the fame as well as provided guidance about writing. During the period of prosperity, Shen mainly published his novellas in The Miscellany Monthly and The Spring and Autumn Monthly. In the former, Shen produced popular novellas which would increase the number of subscribers; In the latter, Shen wrote novellas in which locality and ciriticism were combined in an ambiguous manner.

문화대혁명은 사상계몽운동이었는가? ―한 조반파의 문혁 연구에 대한 비평적 읽기

In recent years, Korean researchers of Chinese Modern Literature have increasingly questioned the validity of Chinese New Era’s enlightenment discourse which has been dominantly influential since the 1980s in Korea. In order to overcome the narrative of Enlightenment, they started to focus on the ideological aspect of the Cultural Revolution (CR), which is naturally contributable to the redefinition of enlightenment that has been exclusively related to the May Forth so far. This paper reviews Lin Weiran’s Ph.D. dissertation An Abortive Chinese Enlightenment: The Cultural Revolution and Class Theory (1996). First, Lin Weiran (1996) describes the CR as ideological movement led and engaged in by the mass (renmin qunzhong), and the movement was characterized by political activities such as intense debates in everyday life. In this sense, Lin claims the CR as nothing less than Chinese enlightenment. Lin’s work helps Korean researchers secure specific and prolific historical resources to redefine the CR as an ideological revolution, consequently resolving the problem of integrating enlightenment and Mao’s mass line. Second, Lin highlights the role of the former Rebels in the Democracy Wall Movement (1978-1982). The Red Guard radicalism--‘theory of a new class’, which is reguarded as the core of ‘new intellectual trend’ (xin sichao) by Lin, criticizes a new bureaucratic class or the speical privileged class in PRC. Lin argues that ‘theory of a new class’ is an important starting point in explaining the Democracy Wall Movement activists’ democratic arguments. Last but not least, Lin overlooks radical innovations of system during the CR. As a result, Lin fails to address or account for Mao’s dilemma between revolutionizing and governing the country.

디지털 인문학과 지식의 공동생산 ― 위키 플랫폼과 <한국 근대 지식인 아카이브> 편찬

이 글은 위키 플랫폼에 기초하여 진행한 <한국 근대 지식인 아카이브>를 중심으로 디지털 인문학과 지식의 공동생산이라는 논제와 그 가능성을 검토하였다. 디지털 환경에서 인문학 지식의 공동생산이라는 새로운 가능성이 열릴 수 있다는 것이 이 글의 논점이다. 2장에서는 위키 플랫폼의 글쓰기가 인문학 글쓰기에 제시하는 새로운 가능성을 검토하였다. 위키는 공유 작업에 적합한 플랫폼으로 공동연구의 과정을 확인할 수 있다. 동시에 위키는 디지털 환경을 적극적으로 활용한 조합적 글쓰기를 가능하도록 한다. 3장에서는 데이터에 기반한 지식의 공동편찬이 열어주는 새로운 인문학 지식과 질문의 발견 가능성을 검토하였다. 참여자들은 인문학 지식에 근거하여 공동으로 온톨로지를 설계했다. 그리고 온톨로지에 따라 입력한 데이터를 공유하고 활용할 때, 새로운 인문학적 논제를 발견하였다. 이 글은 디지털 환경에서 데이터를 활용한 공동 작업이 인문학 연구에 새로운 가능성을 열 수 있다는 사실을 확인하였다. 이후 본격적으로 데이터를 입력하면서, 이 글이 발견한 가능성을 현실화하는 것이 추후 과제이다. This article reviews the issue of digital humanities and co-production of knowledge around the Project of < Archive of Intellectuals in Modern Korea > based on the wiki platform and its possibilities. The argument of this article is that a new possibility of co-production of humanities knowledge can be opened in the digital environment. In Chapter 2, we consider what possibilities the writing of the Wiki platform could open to writing in humanities. Wiki is a suitable platform for sharing tasks and can identify the process of joint research. At the same time, Wiki enables combinatorial writing that actively utilizes the digital environment through hypertext and the function of extention and embedding of wiki. In Chapter 3, we discuss that data and co-production discover new humanistic issues. Participants jointly designed ontology based on humanities knowledge. In addition, when sharing and utilizing the data entered according to the ontology, a new humanistic thesis was discovered. This article confirms that collaboration using data in a digital environment can open new possibilities for humanities research. Afterwards, the task is to enter data in earnest and realize the possibility of this article’s discovery.
