항공전자장비 신뢰성, 안전성 분석 및 관련 성능 개선 방안 연구

항공전자장비는 항공기에 탑재되는 전자장비를 의미한다. 항공전자장비의 고장은 항공기 운용에 중대한 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 조종사와 승객의 안전까지 위협할 수 있다. 이에 항공전자장비는 타 용도로 사용되는 전자장비들 보다 높은 신뢰성과 안전성을 가지도록 요구도로 규정되어 있다. 항공전자장비는 설계 초기 단계에서부터 안전과 관련된 요구사항 충족을 위해 부품 선정과 시스템 설계를 고려해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 항공전자장비의 안전성, 신뢰성 성능 분석 방법을 설명하고, 안전 요구 성능 충족을 위해 수행할 수 있는 여러 설계 개선 방법을 실제 항공전자장비 개발 사례를 들어 소개한다. 마지막으로 설계 개선된 항공전자장비의 안전 성능 수치를 재분석하고, 개선 전 값과 비교하여 제시한 설계 변경의 유효성을 입증하였다. Avionics electronic equipment refers to the electronic equipment installed on an aircraft. Failure of avionics equipment can have a significant impact on aircraft operations as well as threaten the safety of pilots and passengers. Therefore, avionics electronic equipment is required to have higher reliability and safety than electronic equipment used for other purposes. Avionics equipment must consider various component selection and system design to meet reliability and safety-related requirements from the initial design stage. In this paper, we describe safety, reliability performance analysis method of avionics equipment, and introduce various design improvement methods that can be performed to meet safety requirement performance. Finally, the safety performance of the improved avionics equipment was reanalyzed and compared with the value before the improvement, the validity of the proposed design change was verified.
로봇 지원 원격 초음파 영상진단을 위한 마스터-슬레이브 시스템의 개발

In this paper, we introduce a robot-assisted medical diagnostic system that enables remote ultrasound (US) imaging to be applied to the conventional telemedicine, which has been possible only with interviewing or a visual exam. In particular, a master-slave robot system is developed that ultrasonic diagnosis specialist can control the position and orientation of US probe in the remote place. The slave robot is designed to be compact, lightweight, and hand-held so that it can easily transfer to the remote healthcare center. Moreover, 6-degree-of-freedom (DOF) probe motion is possible by the robot design based on Stewart platform. The master device is also based on a similar structure of the slave robot. To connect master and slave system in the wide area network (WAN) environment, a hardware CODEC was developed. In this paper, we introduce the detail of each component and the results of the recent experiments conducted in the remote sites by the developed robotic ultrasound imaging system.

포틀랜드 시멘트 생산과 더불어 발생되는 다량의 이산화탄소를 줄이는 방안을 강구하는 것은 전 세계적인 이산화탄소 배출량 감소 정책에 일환으로 매우 큰 중요성을 내포하고 있다. 칼슘설포알루미네이트 시멘트는 포틀랜드 시멘트보다 생산 시 적은 양의 이산화탄소를 배출하며 저탄소 시멘트로 각광받고 있다. 본 논문은 칼슘설포알루미네이트 시멘트 기반 물질들의 탄산화 특성에 대한 기존 연구결과를 조사하고 탄산화 저감 방안을 소개한다. Devising measures to reduce the large amount of carbon dioxide generated by the production of Portland cement implies paramount importance as a part of the global carbon reduction campaign. Calcium sulfoaluminate cement is in the spotlight as a low-carbon cement due to the reduction of generated carbon dioxide during its production as compared with Portland cement. This paper investigates the research trend on the carbonation behavior of calcium sulfoaluminate cement-based materials.

The wear of the contact in the tappet accounts for the greatest portion of entire friction loss of an engine, leading to the occurrence of abnormal wear. The coated specimens for cam-tappet wear test were producted by using PVD-Sputtering coating method. It examined the friction characteristics occurring between the cam and the tappet by using the dedicated wear tester and found that the friction torque value was reduced through comparison testing with the existing part when the low friction coating was applied. So application of the low friction coating to actual vehicles will reduce the fuel economy and occurrence of noise-vibration.

In the conventional Intracerebral Hematoma (ICH) removal surgery, it has been required to install the stereotactic frame on the patient’s cranial surface to access to the intracerebral hematoma. Since it is invasive and also takes long time, we attempt to develop a robotic ICH removal procedure with a markerless registration applying optical 3-D scanner. Preoperative patient’s data should be investigated from the CT images; it includes patient’s 3-D facial surface, hematoma, and surgical plans. Intraoperatively scanned facial surface will be registered to navigate the hematoma in the current pose of patient. Here, the conventional ICP (Iterative Closest Point) algorithm can be used for the registration. However, we need to assume that the patient’s face should not be changed from the preoperative model since the ICP considers only rigid-body transformation. In this paper, therefore, we investigated some facial features, which can be used as anatomical landmarks to identify the position of hematoma in the cranial structure. Moreover, the facial features in the preoperative 3-D model are weighted for more accurate registration with intraoperatively scanned points, ignoring locally deformed facial shapes. Accordingly, more accurate and robust target identification can be achieved even with patient’s local facial shape changes from the preoperative data.
