In this study, the degree of rail surface irregularity occurrence due to rail grinding was measured in a highspeedrail operating line, and the degree of grinding and the abrasion quality according to the number of rails were comparedwith international regulations and the number of proper grinding was examined. Also, the influence of rail surfaceirregularities on the dynamic wheel/rail interaction force was investigated using dynamic modeling and compared withprevious research results. Using the results of this study, appropriate rail grinding methods based on the level of wheel/rail interaction force were derived.

In this study, using the Rail Internal Crack Propagation Prediction Program (RICRO), developed based on fracture mechanics theory, a propagation prediction model was derived through parameter analysis of squat defects; fatigue life data of certain domestic track routes were used. Based on the results of this study, the annual accumulated passing tonnage was accurately predicted according to the train operation frequency of the managed section for each domestic track route; the remaining lifespans of rail defects were estimated for each track and section. It was suggested to decide and manage all defects separately.

Orofacial dystonia is a neuromotor disorder that causes irregular or repetitive movements of the face, lips, tongue, and jaw involuntarily, also called tic disorder. Edentulous patients with these symptoms experience functional and aesthetic problems, including difficulty using complete dentures, speech and swallowing difficulties, and orofacial pain. In this case, for a patient with orofacial dystonia who experienced complete edentulism at a relatively young age, restorative treatment was performed with a maxillary complete denture with bilateral posterior zirconia occlusal surfaces and a mandibular implant-supported fixed prosthesis, and continuous smile training was performed. The aim was to improve the aesthetics of facial muscles. As a result of the treatment, the patient was very satisfied with not only improved chewing function and aesthetics, but also regained psychological stability and was able to lead a normal daily life, so we would like to report this

Recent trends in construction towards larger scale and taller buildings are causing problems by ineffective existing management approach in construction industry have emerged. Delivering necessary materials and mobilizing the human resources and equipment in a timely manner to keep labor on schedule have become a critical issue to be addressed. In particular, many specialty contractors carrying out multiple projects have been experiencing difficulties mobilizing the manpower on time and in right places due to poor communication at each stage of labor supply, resulting in waste of valuable resources. Hence, it’s imperative for the specialty contractors to obtain specific information on labor demand so as to set up a communication and labor management system to ensure the right human resources will be mobilized in the right place at the right time. The study therefore is aimed at developing an optimal human resources management system for specialty contractors performing multiple projects. To that end, the study is focused on rebar and concrete work. The outcome of the study is expected to help allocate the right human resources to the right place in a timely fashion, thereby achieving an effective workflow at construction sites.

Safety accident resulting from construction projects getting larger and complex day by day has occurred more often than ever. Particularly, the accident caused by construction equipment, among others, has been on the rise. To prevent such accidents, it's necessary to come up with the measures for reducing the accident. In this study, the cause of safety accidents was analyzed, reviewing the cases of safety accident maintained by Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency, and the measures for reducing the accident was suggested with computerized safety checklist. The scope of study was limited to excavator, and the result is summarized as below. 1) Investigation was conducted to identify the cases of accident by excavator with the primary causes. 2) Reduction measures were suggested by category of cause of excavator-caused accident.3) Checklist to prevent the safety accident, which was based on primary causes, was suggested. 4) The measures to stir up safety consciousness and monitor the safety were suggested, making use of computerized system. This study is expected to lay the foundation for further study in future as well as make a great commitment to reducing the safety accident.

Since energy and food crisis due to global warming have been emerged as serious issues, various technologies are being introduced to solve out the challenges. Smart farm is a rising technology on account of expanding global population, the elevating demand for higher crop yield, the importance of efficient usage of natural resources, the rising use and sophistication of information and communication technology and the increasing need for climate-smart agriculture. Moreover, it is an aggregate of different technologies such as artificial intelligence(AI), Internet of Things(IoT), light sensor, carbon dioxide sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, and unmanned control architecture. However, smart farm occupies much space and requires a tremendous manufacturing cost. This paper presents a preliminary design of a miniaturized benchtop-smart-farm module for undergraduate laboratories. This module uses Arduino mega 2560 board as the main control tower and includes simple explanation to help the operation of overall system. Furthermore, we believe that this approach will be potentially helpful for giving an insight to undergraduate researchers, who can conduct future photosynthetic farming and biofuel research at affordable level.

국내 철도레일의 교체기준은 일본 RTRI의 연구결과에 기초한다. 일본 RTRI에서는 누적통과톤수에 따른 레일표면요철 성장률과 장대레일 용접부의 휨피로와의 상관관계를 통해 레일교체기준을 산정하였다. 본 연구에서는 국내 일반철도의 열차 및 선로조건을 고려한 레일교체기준 설정을 위해 누적통과톤수별, 용접방법별 레일표면요철량을 측정하였으며, 레일표면요철 측정 데이터를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 테르밋용접부와 가스압접 레일표면요철 성장률이 동일하였고, 자갈궤도의 레일표면요철 성장률은 약 0.05~ 0.08mm/100MGT인 것으로 분석되었다. 최종적으로 안전율(S.F.=2)을 적용하여 0.16mm/100MGT를 일반철도 레일표면 요철성장률로 제안하였다. 본 연구결과는 향후 일반철도 레일연마를 고려한 교체기준 설정을 위한 기초자료로 활용이 가능할 것이다. The periodic replacements criterion of rail is calculated on the basis of the research result of RTRI in Japan. It is suggested that the service life of the continuous welded rail(CWR) is estimated by the relationship between the rail surface irregularity according to the accumulated passing tonnage and bending fatigue of welded part in CWR. In order to establish the periodic replacements criterion of CWR, this study measured the rail surface irregularity according to the accumulated passing tonnage, the types of welding. Therefore, it is analyzed that the gas pressure and thermite welding are the worst one of the others. In addition, it is analyzed that the rail surface irregularity growth rate in ballast track is about 0.05~0.08mm/100MGT. Finally, the growth rate of rail surface irregularity considering the safety factor 2 was suggested 0.16mm/100MGT. The result of this study is able to use the basis data to establishing the periodic replacements criterion of CWR considering rail grinding.
