This study aims to identify the structure and system to make close relationship among planning elements, legal regulation and evaluation index toward sustainable development in the ecological housing estate. Through these close relationships the ecological housing estate could get more sustainability. With this consideration, this study consists of following three parts. First, we review the key issues of sustainability in ecological housing which are focused on the energy-efficient planning. Second, we extract the planning elements, legal regulation and evaluation index using the qualitative system dynamics that is found out all phenomenons from viewpoint of closed loop thinking and circular feedback system. Third, we analyse the correlationship among them in terms of energy efficient planning in the ecological housing estate. Finally, we summarize the findings toward sustainability in ecological housing estate through these analysis.

Sustainable Development which has been developed from 1970's became the global paradigm. European countries Germany and netherland, and some other countries like Japan had early recognition on the effect of durability on Ecological architecture, and they are making strenuous efforts on lasting studies which leads to development. On the other hand, From the end of 1990's increase on the recognition on environmental issue led more studies on Ecological Housing estate and Sustainable Development. However, it only remains as partial introduction of design facotor only for architectural dimension, not for examination of means of development. This study, based on this background, is to define and analyze Ecological Housing estate as a Sustainable Development, not as one of the type of residence. Therefore, This study will confirm the relation between design factor and Sustainable Development by utilizing major studies in Korea, learn how they had been applied and will hold out in Germany and Netherlands. Also design factors which can be applied to Korea based on surveys from the exports in Korea.

In Korea, in the case of fire scenarios in performance design, it is assumed that the sprinkler is not working. In addition, it does not applicate various fire conditions. Therefore it is not enough that the accuracy about fire scenario. In foreign countries, reseach is being conducted to predict the casualities that can occur due to fire in the building space through statistical risk analysis. Also, research is consistently conducting for design that consider the sprinker probability of operation. Therefore, to analyze the fire risk of each building in Korea, the risk was analyzed using statistical data. As a result, the risk of casualties that can occur for each building use was analyzed as 0.6(persons/cases) for residential buildings, 0.25(persons/cases) for sales facilities, and 0.12(persons/cases) for buisiness facilities.

To analyze vertical fire spreadability of aluminum composite panel, real scale test of aluminum composite panel and fire retardant aluminum composite panel was conducted as well as analysis of domestic code, test and domestic reaserch resulted in following conclusion. Fire spread risk assessment of aluminum Composite Panel is impossible with the current regulations (Cone Calorimeter Test). It need to changes of regulatory and combustion expanded risk assessment and regulatory changes in the test methods need to be judged. Also, there is quite a big different between the general aluminum Composite Panel and semi-non combustible of aluminum Composite Panel. However it is also deemed to be danger when present in the sidewall to the top consisting of fire spread. From now on, it is needed the study about interpretation of fire spread and sidewall of vertical fire spread analysis not only experiments for aluminum Composite Panel.

본 연구는 외국에서 수행된 FDS를 이용한 화재조사사례를 조사분석하여 그 문제점 및 개선방안을 정리하여 향후 국내에서 화재조사를 위한 FDS의 이용방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 수행하였다. 본 외국사례를 통한 케이스스터디와 실험적으로 국내의 주요가연물들에 대한 열특성데이터와 내외장재 및 창호등에 대한 열특성에 관한 DB를 분석하고 국내상황에 필요한 화재성장모델을 구축하여 화재조사에 적용할 수 있도록 개선하는데 그 목적이 있다.
