Juliet과 STONESOUP 테스트 모음을 사용한 C/C++ 프로그램의 보안약점 탐지를 위한 정적 분석기 평가

In this paper, we compared four analyzers Clang, CppCheck, Compass, and a commercial one from a domestic startup using the NIST’s Juliet test suit and STONESOUP that is introduced recently. Tools showed detection efficacy in the order of Clang, CppCheck, the domestic one, and Compass under Juliet tests; and Clang, the domestic one, Compass, and CppCheck under STONESOUP tests. We expect it would be desirable to utilize symbolic execution for vulnerability analysis in the future. On the other hand, the results of tool evaluation also testifies that Juliet and STONESOUP as a benchmark for static analysis tools can reveal differences among tools. Finally, each analyzer has different CWEs that it can detect all given test programs. This result can be used for selection of proper tools with respect to specific CWEs.

The insulinoma, functional beta cell tumor of the pancreas, is charaterized by frequent attacks of fasting hypoglycemia, which arise from varying degrees of neuroglycopenia and ofen lead to misdiagnosis as a neurologic or psychiatric disoder. Small insulinoma may be undetectable by arteriography of C.T scanning. They can be identified by palpation during laparatomy or by the point at which high insulin levels are detected in the venous effluent sampled at several sites by catheterization of the splenic and portal veins. We report a case of insuligoma, which preoperatively identified by serial measurement of blood glucose, insulin level c-peptide suppression test. During laparatomy, the tumor was found at a posterior part of head of pancreas, measuring 1.2X0.8cm, tumor resection was performed. In the follow up study for 8 months, he has had no hypolycemic symtoms till now.

백서에서 일측성 요관 폐쇄가 PDGF 발현에 미치는 영향

Unilateral ureteral obstruction(UUO) results in severe renal vascular constriction through the activation of renin-angiotensin system, which causes progressive tubulointerstitial fibrosis. Platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF) plays an important role in stimulating myofibroblasts and regulating synthesis of extracellular matrix in renal interstitial proliferation and fibrosis. This study was designed to investigate the relationship between unilateral ureteral obstruction and PDGF expression in tubulointerstitial fibrosis of the kidney. Eleven adult male Spraugue-Dawley rats were carried out unilateral ureteral ligation and sham operation. After 14 days, control kidney, UUO kidney and intact opposite(IO) kidney were harvested. Tissue fibrosis was quantified morphologically using the point detection method after Masson-Trichrome stain. Expression of PDGF-A and B was determined by immunohistochemical staining, RT-PCR and Western blot assay. Results were as follows: 1) UUO and IO group resulted in reduced kidney weight compared with control group(p$lt;0.05). 2) Collagen deposition was increased in the renal cortex of UUO group(p$lt;0.05). 3) PDGF-A and B mRNA expression was increased significantly compared with control and IO group(p$lt; 0.05). 4) PDGF-A and B protein expression were increased in UUO and IO group(p$lt;0.05). 5) On the immunohistochemical staining for PDGF-A and B, staining intensity was increased significantly at the renal cortex, interstitium and tubular epithelial cells in the UUO group. This results indicated that PDGF-A and B plays important role in tubulointerstitial fibrosis developed after unilateral ureteral obstruction and compensatory fibroproliferative growth in contralateral kidney.
