음식조리법 텍스트의 장르 기반(genre-based)적 구성담화 분석- 문법요소와 담화기능 및 담화목적의 상관성을 중심으로-

Recipe text is one of the representative instruction text genres and is mainly composed of title discourse, ingredients discourse, process discourse and tip discourse. These main discourses are distinguished mutually by means of its unique discourse characteristics which are called genre-based features. These outstanding genre-based distinctions between discourses are caused by coherence of the text structure. It might be seen that in recipe text, mechanism of contrast is adapted as a main way of its text construction. Conceptualization by means of nominalization in title discourse is contrasted to a series of performative action verbs in process discourse. A variety of modality expressions in tip discourse are contrasted to ``-nunda`` with neutral modality in process discourse. Also, text producer`s strong consciousness of text receivers with ``-seyo`` in tip discourse is contrasted to ``-nunda`` with weak consciousness in process discourse. This contrast is seen as a text producer`s attempts to establish a coherent construction as a text in a relatively simple recipe text genre.
목적격 조사 ‘을/를’에 대한 한국어교육적 연구: 비전형적인 의미기능을 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to explore various meanings of the Korean object particle eul/reul in perspective of general grammar description which has been regarded as highly effective in foreign language education due to its compact explanation about each grammatical items and to suggest grammatical syllabus of for eul/reul. This research tries to suggest procedural grammatical syllabus for Korean particle eul/reul that covers not only its typical meaning but its atypical meanings considering frequency, range, conceptual difficulty and usefulness. Suggested syllabus in this study can be applied to grammar description for foreign learners and its education. Also, it is expected that several particles having atypical meanings like eul/reul shall be able to get some references from the consequence of this study, as well.
학문목적 한국어 쓰기 학습자를 위한 자기인용의 -다고 하- 구문 교육방안

The purpose of this study is to suggest how to educate Korean self-quoted phrase which has a form as ‘-dago ha-’ to Korean language learners with an academic purpose(KAP). ‘Self-quoted phrase’ is frequently used in academic theses since it is highly useful to manipulate the writer’s voices with objectivity. However, the fact that KAP learners seldom produce this self-quoted phrase in their writings shows urgent necessity to consider the education for this phrase. Also, non-existence of the explanation about this phrase or insufficient explanations in many textbooks for KAP learners seem to require more specific grammatical approach to this self-quoted phrase. Therefore, this study tries to suggest how to describe Korean self-quoted phrase in view of Korean language education and how to teach this phrase specifically in KAP classroom suggesting its teaching model and its methods.

The purpose of this study is to explore a self-quoted phrase which uses a quotation “-da go ha-“ when a speaker says his own opinion. In general, quotation phrases are used when the speaker quotes the original speaker’s utterances. Previous studies dealing with quotation phrases have been focusing on these general quotation and a self-quoted phrase has not been researched though it appears highly often in newspaper columns or academic theses etc. Therefore, this study aims to describe the characteristics of a self-quoted phrase and to explain its own discourse-pragmatic and text functions based on its unique morphological-syntactic structure.

To establish techniques for culturing fry loaches, we investigated the acute toxicity for ammonia and nitrite on fry loach. Fry loach did not died at a TAN concentration of 44.74 ㎎/L for the entire duration of the experiment (8 days). However, 100% mortality was observed within 2 days of exposure at a TAN concentration of 165.60 ㎎/L. The 12hr-LC<sub>50</sub>, 24hr-LC<sub>50</sub>, 48hr-LC<sub>50</sub>, 72hr-LC<sub>50</sub>, and 96hr-LC<sub>50</sub> values for NH<sub>3</sub> were 5.68, 3.79, 2.59, 2.40 and 2.37 ㎎/L, respectively. The fry loach died at 51.54 ㎎/L of NO<sub>2</sub><sup>-</sup> after 7 days of exposure, 92.09 ㎎/L after 4 days, and 92.09 ㎎/L after 2 days. The 12hr-LC<sub>50</sub>, 24hr-LC<sub>50</sub>, 48hr-LC<sub>50</sub>, 72hr-LC<sub>50</sub>, and 96hr-LC<sub>50</sub> values for NO<sub>2</sub><sup>-</sup> were 3531.8, 1570.6, 537.6, 375.8 and 303.2 ㎎/L, respectively. The fry loach did not died at a NO<sub>2</sub><sup>-</sup> concentrations of 200 ㎎/L and a pH of 7.45 for 3 days. At a pH of 6.46, fry loach died after 2 days and the mortality was 100% at pH of < 5.75 within 1 day. It seems necessary to more careful control of NO<sub>2</sub><sup>-</sup> than TAN because the pH values will decrease at pond, water recycling culture system, and BFT system for massive fry loach culture.
블러브(blurb)에 대한 텍스트언어학적 연구 -여행 안내서의 블러브를 중심으로-

A blurb is a short promotional piece accompanying a creative work and is the book description you find on the back of a book to describe a book``s contents. It may be written by authors or publishers or quote praises from others. In general, available potential readers tend to decide whether he/she purchases a book or not after examining both its title and its blurb. Namely, a blurb functions as a crucial motivator to push potential readers to buy its book. Therefore, a blurb is relevantly related to the other para text of covers, which is a ``title``. While other para texts such as titles, footnotes, prefaces have been profoundly examined in the previous studies under the relevances with its main text, blurbs have not been investigated in the text-linguistical perspective. However, considering these blurbs`` text circumstances, we can easily guess there might exist highly deliberate text producer``s strategy in weaving it. Thus, this study aims to analyze unique characteristics of blurbs and to explore text producer``s strategy for writing them. In order to achieve this purpose, this study adapts travel guidebooks as a main text genre. Since the travel guidebook genre has various different versions dealing with one theme according to its authors and publishers, producing- strategy of blurbs is expected to be even more deliberate and elab orate than any other text genres. In addition, blurbs`` unique characteristics are to be compared with those of ``titles`` so that ultimately strategy of ``jacket-dusts`` may be made explicit.
한국어교육적 관점에서 본 국내 대학 한국어문학과의 교육과정

Korean language and literature department, basically, sees Korean language in an objective way. However, curriculum of many Korean language and literature department shows no big difference from that of National language and literature departments. The purpose of this study is to examine the curriculum of Korean language and literature department especially in view of Korean language education for foreign learners which has been highly increasing for the last several years. As a result of this research, strong necessity for standardization in curriculum is insisted since the differences between curriculum in each college are so great that its graduates, namely, potential Korean language teachers are not likely to meet educatee`s general needs for Korean language and literature, Korean culture, etc. Therefore, this study tries to suggest desirable directions in designing curriculum of Korean language and literature department based on its own identity and the needs of both Korean language teachers and foreign Korean language learners which are expected to dedicate the standardization.
의성어 교육방안 제안을 위한 한국어 학습자와 한국어 모어화자의 ‘웃음’ 의성어 인식 비교

Highly developed onomatopoeic and mimetic words are one of the outstanding characteristics in Korean language which hardly appear so often in other languages. Accordingly, these words in Korean language are very difficult for foreign learners to learn. However, nearly every Korean textbooks do not these onomatopoeic and mimetic words so specifically. This can cause many Korean learners to unaware of one of the most vivid and peculiar Korean expressions. This study tries to explore how laughing-related onomatopoeic words can be taught for foreigners as the first step in studies of desirable educations for onomatopoeic and mimetic Korean words since laughing onomatopoeic words are greatly often used by Korean native speakers in daily life. For this objective, first, how onomatopoeic words are suggested in main ten Korean language textbooks are examined. Then, in order to figure out desirable education way, not only Korean learners' consciousness but also Korean natives' ones are looked through and compared each other. Based on results of these examination, followings are suggested for laughing-related onomatopoeic words education. Firstly, there seems to exist such a big gap between Korean natives and Korean learners in understanding laughing-related onomatopoeic words especially on its producer's age and sex, speaking situation, laughing impression, sincerity of laughing, and its physical characteristics of laughing. This phenomenon concludes these three differentiative features are stressed when instructing laughing onomatopoeic words. Secondly, enormous differences according to each learners in understanding of each laughing onomatopoeic words are examined. This shows us that general comparison between laughing-related onomatopoeic words after the instruction of each. Also, this can be understood as a convincing evidence that onomatopoeic words in group are to be treated in Korean textbooks in an explicit way. Thirdly, Korean learners are likely not to be so conscious of vowel harmony in laughing-related onomatopoeic words. Therefore contrasts between bright vowels and dark vowels in production of onomatopoeic laughing words are necessary to learn. Lastly, realistic materials which are used laughing-related onomatopoeic words can be encouraged in order to raise learners' interests and motivations.
학술논문의 텍스트성 분석 -의도성(intentionality)을 중심으로-

Intentionality, which means the text producer`s own will to weave a text is one of the textualities which make a sequence of sentences a consistently meaningful structure, namely, text(Beaugrande·Dressler 1981). This study examines how the intentionality exhibits in the academic thesis text genre. Unlike other text genres, in the academic thesis, text producer`s intention of producing the text is clearly manifested, which can be called an intention-expressed discourse. It is characterized as object(thesis)-oriented first person deixis, stereotypical performative verbs and different scales of description in both generalization and content-compactness motivated by the text producer`s consideration about the text receiver`s cognitive level according to the text-developing process. These are operated by `the mechanism of efficiency` which helps the text receiver activate his own schema regarding the text. It seems to be highly efficient to manifest the text producer`s intention in the academic text genre which has not only complex but difficult meaning structures. This is fulfilled by the text-stereotypical intention-expressed discourse. This discourse functions as a text data base toa text producer and as a schema invoke regarding the theme of the academic text genre to a text receiver.
학문목적 한국어 쓰기 학습자를 위한 학술논문 각주 분석 텍스트 기능과 기능별 언어표현을 중심으로-

본 연구는 학문목적 한국어 학습자를 위한 각주 쓰기 교육방안의 기반연구로서 한국어 모어화자의 학술논문 각주에 나타나는 텍스트 기능을 유형화하고 그 기능에 따른 언어표현을 보이고자 하였다. 이는 학문목적 한국어 학습자들이 학술논문 각주에서 문식성의 오류를 심각하게 보임에도 불구하고 아직까지 각주 자체가 본격적으로 논의된 연구가 없었던 까닭에, 각주에 대한 구체적인 교수학습방안 마련을 위해 필요한 기초자료자체도 마련되지 못했다는 문제의식을 바탕으로 하였다. 분석결과, 학술논문의 각주는 목표하는 대상(object)에 따라 크게 텍스트에 대한 메타적 언급, 본문 텍스트 내용의 보충, 다른 텍스트의 제시와 언급이라는 기능으로 구분되었다. 텍스트에 대한 메타적 언급의 경우는 다시 대상이 포괄하는 영향권(scope)에 따라 전체 텍스트를 대상으로 하는 메타발화(텍스트 소개, 감사 표현, 텍스트 생산목적 재언급, 연구범위 한정 언급, 주요용어의 의미역 조정 언급, 텍스트 수용자의 비판 선취(先取), 연구한계 인정과 후속 연구 언급), 텍스트의 구성 및 형식을 언급하는 발화(텍스트 구성 언급, 약호나 표시에 대한 설명) 그리고 텍스트 수용자의 이해 맥락 조절과 관련된 메타발화로 다시 하위유형화 되었다. 한편 본문의 텍스트 내용을 보충하는 기능은 각론적인 용어의 개념상술, 각론적인 연구방법 및 연구대상에 대한 상술, 다양한 예(例)의 나열, 사변적이거나 개인적인 내용 언급의 기능으로 다시 분류될 수 있었으며, 다른 텍스트의 제시와 언급의 경우에는 인용출처 단순 제시, 인용표지를 사용한 간접인용, 현(現) 텍스트 생산자의 기술 안으로의 융합(amalgam)이 직접인용에 비해 우세하게 나타나는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이러한 분석결과에 근거하여, 각주의 다양한 기능과 언어표현이 기능별로 학문목적 학습자에게 다변화되어 제시될 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 학술논문 각주가 학술논문의 의사소통상황의 전반에 걸쳐 기능을 발휘하는 만큼, 학술논문의 내외적 의사소통상황에 대한 자동화된 인식의 훈련이 학습자들에게 필요하다고 보았다. 의사소통상황에 따라 각주를 다르게 변주할 수 있는 유연한 담화화용능력의 훈련도 요구된다고 보았다. The purpose of this study is to explore the phenomenon of para-text ``footnote`` in academic theses and to categorize it according to its text functions. In the previous investigations, footnote has been underestimated as only para-text to the main text so its functions have not been researched specifically. However, footnote is one of the prominent text genre-based features of academic thesis and serious footnote errors made by Korean learner`s for Academic Purposes(KAP) in their theses requires us to develop educational treatment of footnotes writing for KAP learners. As a fundamental study for the educational methods for footnotes writing, this study looks through and analyze 30 theses by Korean mother tongue writers in Korean Education academic areas. The conclusion is as followings. Text functions of footnote utterances in academic theses are largely divided into meta utterance as to its text structure and making-up utterance for its main text. The former is categorized as the whole text-scoped utterances(utterance of text introduction, gratitude utterance, re-utterance of text purpose, utterance of its research scope, terminological utterance), utterances as to its text structure(text deixis utterance, indication utterance) and text-receiver oriented utterance(text producer`s self-defence, preoccupation of text receiver`s criticism, in-advanced admittance of criticism, control of text receiver`s understanding context). The latter is dealing with mentioning source of the previous studies, explanation of numbers in the main text, explanation research methods and object, enumeration of many examples, description of writer`s highly individual opinion, specification of term. Whereas words and expressions according to each functions in footnote utterances are highly typical, its patterned items are to suggest in the textbook along with its functions.
