This study is performed to clarify the fish fauna and fish habitat of downstream of Singok submerged weir within Han River estuary during April~December 2009. It was studied at the nine sites of Han River estuary area. The three of them were located in the mainstream of Han River and six of them were located in three wetlands which as Sannam, Janghang and Dolbangguji. Total fish fauna was identified as 9 order 15 family and 38 species (2,230 individuals). It was divided as 8 order 11 family 28 species from three sites in the mainstream of Han River and as 5 order 8 family 19 species in waterways at mud flats of three wetlands. It was made up the fish fauna as 3 order 4 family 12 species during the survey period at the waterways in the rice paddies. Hemibarbus labeo was dominant species in the whole research sites and waterways at mud flats. Carassius auratus was dominant species in the waterways between rice paddies and Chelon haematocheilus was dominant species in mainstream of Han River estuary.
한국산 미기록종을 포함한 팔장고말속식물 (녹조식물)에 대한 분류학적 연구

While more than 1,000 taxa in Staurastrum were found worldwide, in Korea only 119 taxa, of 68 species 42 varieties 9 forms, were reported so far. In this study, 23 taxa (19 species 4 varieties) of Staurastrum were collected from 15 freshwaters in Korea from Feb. through Nov., 2003. Among these taxa, 12 were newly recorded to Korea. Therefore, the total number of Staurastrum in Korea should be 131 taxa, of 77 species 45 varieties 9 forms, adding 12 newly found taxa. Most of the collected species were coincided with the characteristics previously described, but the sizes of 8 taxa including S. affine were smaller than those previously described. The 7 taxa including S. cerastesa have shown a little dissimilarity in the morphology of semicell and the decoration of cell wall.

The seasonal variation of phytoplankton communities and its standing crops in accordance with environmental factors were investigated at Yeongrang-ho, Cheongcho-ho, Mae-ho and Hyang-ho which are located in the East coast of Korea during April to October 2011. High concentrations of T-N and T-P were observed in four lagoons due to the inflowing nutrients from farmlands and residential areas near lagoons. Nutrient salts mainly composed of nitrogen and phosphate caused the eutrophication of the lakes, leading to the robust growth of phytoplankton. During the period of investigation, 64 to 107 taxa of phytoplankton were observed in four lagoons. Diatoms were the most dominant species with high density. Non-point pollution source was estimated as the main cause of water pollution of lagoons. Trophic states of lagoons evaluated using the value of TSI and TSIKO indicated that all the investigated lagoons were in the eutrophication state.

To gain insights into the phylogenetic relationships of genus Staurastrum and Staurodesmus, we analyzed nuclearencoded small subunit rDNA of 82 strains, and chloroplast atpB gene sequences of 44 strains belonging to three genera (Staurastrum, Staurodesmus, Cosmarium). Excluding the Staurastrum muticum and S. orbiculare, forty five strains of genus Staurastrum formed a well supported clade. It was shown that with no cell wall sculpture and processes, these two species have a strong phylogenetic relationship with genus Staurodesmus. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to transfer Staurastrum without processes and cell wall sculpture into Staurodesmus. S. obsoletus is a taxa that is transferred from Cosmarium. But, from this study, it has shown a phylogenetic relationship with Cosmarium. Therefore, this species is strongly recommended to transfer back to Cosmarium instead of Staurodesmus. As it was studied before, genus Staurastrum has shown monophyletic. Since the genus taurodesmus groups with Cosmarium, they were shown to be polyphyletic.
coxIII 유전자 염기서열 분석에 의한 팔장고말 COMPLEX(녹조식물문)의 계통 연구

The intergeneric relationship of Staurastrum complex including genus Arthrodesmus and Xanthidium was studied on the basis of mitochondrial coxⅢ sequence variation. Teiling's suggestion that Staurodesmus was an independent genus apart from genus Staurastrum, Arthrodesmus and Cosmarium was also reevaluated. The phylogeny inferred from coxⅢ gene was not consistent with morphological characteristics of Staurastrum complex. Genus Staurastrum was closely related to genus Xanthidium in the phylogenetic analysis of coxⅢ, but distant to genus Staurodesmus. The taxonomic treatment of genus Staurodesmus as an independent entity could not be determined, because Staurodesmus did not firm a monophyletic Glade. Therefore, genus Staurodesmus could not be treated as an independent genus as Prescott et al. (1982) claimed.
수원시 수계에 분포하는 식물플랑크톤의 종조성 및 영양단계

Seasonal compositions, standing crops and trophic status of phytoplankton were investigated at 13 sites of Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do from June, 2004 to March, 2005. Total of 304 taxa were found, and classified as 4 phylums 4 classes 13 orders 36 families 93 genera 246 species 47 varieties 8 forms and 3 unidentified species by Engler’s classification system. Judged by standing crops of phytoplakton, algal blooming was observed at every sampling sites except Pajang reservoir, Hagwanggyo reservoir, Suwon-cheon and Woncheon-cheon throughtout the whole study periods. While Hagwanggyo reservoir appeared to be in mesotrophic or oligomesotrophic status, most of the remaining sampling sites in Suwon-si were in eutrophic status according to trophic status index. In this study, the most abundant taxa revealed in eutrophic status were Anabaena circinalis, Pandorina morum, Scenedesmus acuminatus, and S. quadricauda as previously reported as the most abundant taxa in eutrophic status. But Navicula cryptocephala and Cyclotella stelligera, reported as the abundant taxa of mesotrophic and oligomesotrophic status, respectively, occurred in eutrophic status in this study.
한강 하류 수역의 식물플랑크톤의 계절적 분포와 우점종에 관한 연구

We investigated seasonally the distribution of phytoplankton and physico-chemical factors at four stations of downstream water in Han-river from April to October 2004. The phytoplankton collected in this study was totally 135 taxa that belongs to 4 phylums 4 classes 13 orders 5 suborders 19 families 2 subfamilies 52 genera 120 species 1 subspecies 14 varieties. Chrysophytes revealed to the dominant division that they occupied 72 taxa as 53.3% among totally occurring taxa. The indicator of clean water was Surirella splendida, and the indicator of pollition water was 20 taxa including Oscillatoria formosa in this study. In the seasonal analysis of water quality and phytoplanktons, it was appeared that the downstream waters of Han-river was polluted deeply at summer and autumn.
