In this research, to examine the effectiveness of the developed microcomputer-based experiment that helped to overcome the problems of "photosynthetic rate by light intensity" experiments were applied. The study targeted 158 10th graders who were divided into the experimental and the control groups. The experiments were conducted using both the improved microcomputer-based experiment method and the existing experiment method. The improved microcomputer-based experiment showed a statistically significant difference from the existing methods in terms of the accuracy of the experimental results, and the ease with which data analysis and data transformation could be performed by the students (p<.05). Further, it shortens the experiment time. Improved microcomputer- based experiment would expected to be a solution for the problems with the existing experiments on photosynthetic rate by light intensity

In this study, the developed microcomputer-based experiment was applied to examine its effectiveness to overcome the existing problems of experiments on photosynthesis and respiration of the plants. The study targeted 144 (72 male and 72 female) 8th graders who were divided into the experimental and the control groups. The experiments on photosynthesis and respiration of the plants were conducted using both the improved microcomputer-based experiment method and the existing experiment method. As a result, the improved microcomputer-based experiment showed a statistically significant difference from the existing methods in terms of the accuracy of the experimental results, and the ease with which data analysis and data transformation could be performed by the students (p<.05): further, it shortens the experiment time. These results could indicate that improved microcomputer-based experiment on photosynthesis and respiration of the plants would expected to be a good solution for the problems with the existing experiments on photosynthesis and respiration of the plants.
컴퓨터 접속 장치를 활용한 광합성과 호흡 실험 방법의 개발

In this study, microcomputer-based experiments that helped to overcome the existing problems of photosynthesis and respiration experiments were developed. Developed experimentations were improved with regard to the selection of experimental materials(plants and animal), light source and sensors and were included decision of data collecting software, data collection time and data collecting rate. According to standards for selecting materials, light source and sensors, spinach leaves and crickets as experimental materials, a halogen lamp as a light source were selected. Data were collected every 4 seconds for 180 seconds using oxygen gas sensor and carbon dioxide gas sensor as a probe. Microcomputer based experiments on photosynthesis and respiration were expected to be a solution for the problems with the existing experiments on photosynthesis and respiration.
