Mobile communication tools which included wireless modem can provide web-based structural health monitoring system, it can measure some physical figures of civil structures long distance away. In this study, we try to find the cause of cracks by FEM analysis and then determine long term behavior of cracks by this web-based monitoring system.

BWIM (Bridge Weigh-in-Motion) System can be used to monitor real time traffic information for bridges, such as number of overloaded vehicles, and their axle weights, which can in turn used for citations for illegal overloading. Bridge health monitoring is currently very important issue for bridge owners, since illegally loaded trucks can accelerate the deterioration of bridges currently in service. This study aims to develop a sensor package that can be easily installed under existing bridges. The strain data recorded under real traffic then can be converted to the axle weight information. In this paper, currently used sensors are studied, and their characteristics are analyzed. Finally, an improved sensor package is proposed and its practicality and applicability is tested under real time traffic.
2경간 연속 RC슬래브교의 WEB 기반 설계 자동화 시스템 개발

2경간 연속 RC슬래브교는 설계와 시공이 비교적 간단하여 소규모 교량에서 그 활용도가 높은 대표적인 교량형식이며, 이의 설계과정은 단순하지만 구조적 형태가 비슷하기 때문에 유사한 과정을 여러번 반복해야 하는 노동집약적인 구조로 되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 구조물에 대해 반복적인 작업의 신뢰성과 신속성을 확보한 WEB상에서 실시간 설계가 가능한 시스템을 개발하였다. 2경간 연속 RC슬래브교의 설계과정을 WEB을 기반으로 하여 모듈화, 데이터베이스화하고 이들 모듈과 데이터베이스 간에 유기적 연계를 통한 시스템을 구축하여 설계과정인 구조해석, 부재설계, 구조계산서 작성, 전자도면 작성 등의 전 과정이 통합된 2경간 연속 RC슬래브교의 설계 시스템을 개발함으로써 설계 품질 및 생산효율성 향상을 실현하는 동시에 WEB상에서 실시간 설계가 가능하도록 함으로써, 시간적은 물론 공간적 제약의 한계를 극복한 진일보된 시스템을 구축하였다. 2 span continuous RC-slab bridge is one of structures employed for the provincial road construction because of its simplicity in design and construction. In this paper, Web-based automation system has been developed to not only manage resultant documents but also speed up to repetitive design process. The combination of internet technologies provides a foundation for developing a Web-based parametric design support system that may facilitate the design process of 2 span RC-slab bridge as well as the manipulation of the resultant engineering documents. This application is able to implement all engineering calculation, CAD drawings, and itemized statements of quantities by using XML Data Island in 2 span RC-slab bridge. This paper introduces a Web-based application, which is able to operate anytime and anywhere, is developed to not only speed up the design process but also enhance the collection and manipulation of resultant electronic documents.
