Background Recent most outstanding phenomenon in modern society has been the convergence of traditional genres. The human body is reexamined as a direct means to live practical life which is developing from existing metaphysical thinking. I would like to present the possibility of a new contemporary art formative through the analysis of the present situation through fusion of art, fashion, architecture, and technology, through the mediated human body. Methods Since it deals with the change of the perception of human body and the artistic reproduction of it, historical review of the relationship between body, architecture, culture, and fashion is to be preceded. In this paper, firstly I examine the historical background of contemporary art, which is changing from the visual perception to the multisensory experience. execution method. In addition, I investigated the current artists who showed hybrid conversion of fashion, art, architecture and technology to deconstruct the boundaries of classical art forms. Result Marshall McLuhan has described a change in the relationship between the human being and the environment through media in the concept of extended body. Recent developments in digital technology and media have shown the possibility that human body can be combined with a medium to become the subject of sense and action. Therefore, the limits of traditional human perception experience are constantly reevaluated and expanded, and research focusing more actively on the human environment. Including virtual space is deepening and focusing on the flexible body concept that is transformed accordingly. Conclusion Paying close attention to the meaning of that future silhouette is not merely an outline of the body, but that it will serve as the boundary of the so-called interface between human spirit and outer space, dynamic transformation is expected to accelerate.
밀레니얼 세대의 특성을 반영한 주얼리 시장 경향 연구 - 해외주얼리 브랜드 사례를 중심으로 -

연구배경 디지털 문화를 바탕으로 성장한 밀레니얼 세대는 기존 세대와는 다른 차원의 행동양식을 가지고 새로운 소비행태로 시장의 구조를 바꾸고 있다. 본 연구는 특정적으로 밀레니얼 세대의 새로운 니즈를 수용하기 위해 변화하고 있는 주얼리 시장의 최근 경향과 디자인 트렌드를 고찰하고자 한다. 연구방법 밀레니얼 세대의 구매동기와 소비행태를 결정짓는 요인에 대한 그들만의 문화적인 배경을 이해하기 위한 고찰이 선행되었다. 이러한 밀레니얼 세대의 특성이 시장에 어떻게 반영되고 있는지 연구하기 위해서 최근 획기적인 다양한 마케팅으로 성공적인 판매성장을 이룩한 티파니를 비롯한 구체적인 해외 주얼리 브랜드의 예를 들어 조사하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 밀레니얼 세대의 패션이 캐주얼화 되면서 데미 주얼리 시장이 성장하고 있다. 또한 이들의 다이아몬드 예물에 대한 인식이 급변하고 있어서 합성 다이아몬드 시장이 확대될 것으로 보인다. 둘째, 밀레니얼 세대는 정체성을 표현하고 싶어 하기에 커스터마이징 제품, 주문 제작 할 수 있는 디테일의 주얼리 등의 상품이 인기를 끌고 있다. 셋째, 밀레니얼 세대는 기업의 경영 철학이나 사회적인 환원에 관심이 많기에 원석이나 귀금속의 투명한 출처나 채굴과정, 기업의 윤리에 대한 홍보가 효과적이다. 넷째, 소셜 미디어를 이용한 밀레니얼 세대의 즉각적인 정보 공유로 이를 통한 디지털 마케팅이 그 어느 때보다 중요해 졌으며 유명 연예인을 기용한 마케팅이 더욱 막강한 힘을 발휘하고 있다. 다섯째, 밀레니얼 세대가 디지털 세대라고는 하나 주얼리 착용의 촉각적인 직접 경험도 중요하다. 온라인 서비스와 더불어 실제 매장에서의 주얼리 쇼핑 경험을 확장시켜 주는 O2O 서비스가 효과적이다. 결론 밀레니얼 세대에 맞는 주얼리 제품을 이해하고 소셜 미디어를 이용한 소통 방식으로 접근하는 것이 더욱더 중요해 보인다. 대기업이나 획일적인 전통에 반(反)하는 성향이 있기에 창의성과 개인적인 서비스로 어필할 수 있는 개인이나 소규모 브랜드에게도 유리한 측면이 있다. Background The millennial generation, which has grown up on the basis of digital culture, is changing the structure of the market with a new mode of behavior and a new consumption pattern. There are many cases of research on these generations both in domestic and abroad, but they are concentrated mainly on cultural phenomena and fashion brands. This study examines recent trends and design trends of jewelery market which is changing to accommodate the new needs of Millennial generation specifically. Methods Research was preceded to understand their cultural background about the determinants of purchasing motive and consumption behavior. In order to study how the characteristics of these millennial generations are reflected in the market, I surveyed examples of specific overseas jewelery brands including Tiffany, which has achieved successful sales growth through various innovative marketing. Result First. as the fashion of the Millennium generation becomes casual, the demi jewelery market is growing. The synthetic diamond market is expected to change as the perception of diamond is changing rapidly. Second, Millennium generation wants to express their identity, so products such as customizing jewelery are gaining popularity. Third, millennium generation is interested in business philosophy and social return of the enterprise, so it is effective to promote transparent source of raw or precious metal, mining process, and corporate ethics. Fourth, digital media marketing has become more important than ever, due to immediate information sharing by the Millennium generation using social media, and marketing using famous celebrity is showing even greater power. Lastly, in addition to online services, the O2O service, which expands the jewelery shopping experience in real stores, is effective. Conclusion It seems more important to understand jewelery products that fit the Millennium generation and to approach them through social media communication. There is a favorable aspect to individuals and small-scale brands that can appeal to creativity and personal service because they tend to be anti-corporate and monolithic.
디지털 시대의 제작문화 연구 - 엣시의 사례를 통한 공예시장을 중심으로 -

21세기를 맞아 급속도로 발전되고 있는 정보 통신 기술에 의한 일상생활의 변화는 생활과 가치관에 있어서도 혁신적인 변화를 초래하고 있다. 먼저 최근에 대두되는 제작 문화(maker movement) 부상(浮上)의 개념적인 이론을 개관하고 19세기 말의 공예 부흥 운동과 연결 지어 역사적인 공예와 기술의 상호적인 관계를 고찰한다. 현대의 제작문화는 자급자족적인 성격을 가지고 있으며 관행과 상업성의 지배원리에 반(反)하는 위험을 감수하는 자유로운 창의성의 표현은 독립적인 새로운 문화 산업의 근간이 되고 있다. 문화를 전달하는 미디어의 지속적인 발전은 소규모의 공예 사업가들이 전 세계의 시장을 대상으로 순간적으로 전파될 수 있는 엄청난 위력을 가질 수 있게 한다. 또한 산업사회의 물질적, 기능적 상품 위주의 소비 패턴이 감성적인 만족을 추구하는 정신적인 의미로 바뀌어 가는 현상도 공예 시장에 영향을 끼치고 있다. 온라인 수공예품 판매사이트를 대표하는 미국의 엣시의 구체적인 사례를 들어 디지털 세대의 온라인 네트워킹과 동시적인 정보 공유가 공예 시장에 끼치고 있는 영향을 살펴보았다. 이러한 가상공간 속의 개인 숍은 소자본이나 아마추어적인 성격의 공예사업을 가능하게 만들고 있으므로 기존의 엘리트 중심적인 문화 산업의 주체가 대중적인 성격으로 변화하고 있다. 인간중심의 상호적인 소통이 중심이 되었을 때 인간적인 흥미를 유발하는 디자인이 가능하기에, 공예의 본질인 인간적인 감성이 그 어느 때보다 중요한 의미를 가지는 시기이다. In the radical development of Information and Communication Technology in 21C, analogue culture has been digitalized. It creates continuous changes in design methodology and social values reflecting different time. First, I examined the conceptual and theoretical overview of mutual relations of the maker movement and the art and crafts Movement of the late 19th century. Also I looked at revival of the craft and technology that emerged in recent years. Having a self - sufficiency nature and the free expression and creativity to take the risk to be anti-ruling principle of commercial practices which has become the foundation of a new independent cultural industries. Continuous development of the media makes it possible to have a tremendous power in a small craft business. It can be instantly propagated to the target markets around the world. In addition, people changes from a function-oriented consumption patterns in industrial society to seek emotional satisfaction which is also affecting the craft market. I looked at the specific case of the Etsy which is leading handicrafts online selling sites in the United States. Online networking and sharing of digital information simultaneously generate and affect the craft market. These individuals shops in the virtual space make it possible for the small scale craft businesses or the amateur makers. it is a subject to change public nature from the traditional elite-centered culture industry to the mass. When it is the center of the mutual communication of human-centered interest is possible due to the nature of the craft, design and human sensibility is more important than ever to become meaningful.

최근 예술과 디자인계에서 가장 부각이 되고 있는 현상은 단연 융합이다. 이와 관련하여 크로스오버(cross-over), 하이브리드(hybrid), 디자인아트(designart) 등의 단어들을 흔히 접할 수가 있다. 과거의 재료나 생산 방식에 따른 기준적인 분류는 가변적인 현대 예술 문화와 디자인에 적용되기 어렵기에 이러한 비경계적 현상의 원인과 그 현황에 대한 분석이 필요하다고 보인다. 본고에서는 이러한 통합적인 디자인 개념이 무한한 효용과 가치를 발할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고 이러한 과정에서 공예의 역할이 증대되고 있음에 주목하고, 90년대 이후 비약적인 발전으로 세계 디자인을 주도하고 있는 더치 디자인(Dutch design)을 중심으로 한 사례 연구를 통하여 새로운 공예 시장의 가능성을 고찰하였다. 더치디자인 경향을 보면 디자이너들은 예술과 공예의 우열 논쟁에 연루되기 보다는 공예이념을 적절하게 차용하는 듯하다. 네델란드의 교육은 기능주의의 기반을 탈피하여 포스트모더니즘으로 재정립 되었는데 이는 공예적인 감성과 디자인의 결합이며, 역사주의적 재인용과 장식(ornament)의 부활을 상징한다. 드로흐를 중심으로 하는 더치디자이너들은 일상용품의 재료, 기법과 의미의 경계에 대한 탐구를 기반으로 하며 공예기법과 산업기술, 전통적인 주제와 현대적인 해석의 혼용으로 잘 알려져 있다. 이는 산업사회의 물질적, 기능적 상품 위주의 소비문화가 감성적인 만족을 추구하는 정신적인 의미로 바뀌어 가고 있음을 의미하며, 대량 복제된 산업 제품이 가지지 못한 인간적인 감성의 추구를 상징한다. 사람들은 점점 더 지속가능성과 환경 문제에 관심을 가지게 되고 개성이 넘치는 감성적인 상품들을 찾고 있는데 이러한 시장은 지속적으로 성장하리라고 예견된다. Recent most phenomenon in art and the design industry has been the convergence. In this connection we can often access the word, such as cross-over, hybrid, designart. Based on classification of the materials and production methods of the past, it seems difficult to apply to groups varying contemporary art culture and design to the analysis of the causes and status of these interdisciplinary phenomena. In this article, it gives you the opportunity to utter the infinite value of this integrated utility and design concepts and focuses on the role of craft that is growing in this process. Through case studies around the Dutch Design which led the world in the design breakthrough since the 1990s investigated the possibility of a new craft market. Dutch designers tend to look at the design seems to borrow the appropriate craft ideas rather than being involved in a controversial hierarchy of arts and crafts. The Dutch education has been to change the functionalist redefined as post-modernism, which symbolizes the resurrection of a combination of craft and design sensibility, historicism and ornaments. Dutch designers including Droog search materials and techniques based on the quest for meaning and the boundaries of craft and industrial technology, modern interpretation of traditional themes in everyday objects. It means that the pursuit of the satisfaction of the consumer culture-oriented material, functional products of industrial society. There are more and more people become interested in sustainability and environmental issues and looking for products with personality and this market is predicted to continue growing in the future.

The purpose of this research is to describe the change of historical meaning and new effort displayed in contemporary jewelry compared to traditional precious jewelries. I investigated and arranged the historically evident data to highlight the advent and development of modern art jewelry. I put the fundamental research background on arrangement of cultural value of modern jewelry particularly focusing on the European and American artists who are influenced by modernism. Especially in the history of 20th century's contemporary jewelry, 1960s to 1980s are known as the most revolutionary era. I examined emotional background and detailed examples of the world-renowned artists who were distinguished in that particular era. As a result of the research, I found that such new movement had its background on several significant social phenomena: numerous people earned an opportunity to receive high education because of economic boom and social equality occurred in 1960s; new artists with new philosophy and radical expression arose with the drastic increase of art schools, and began to challenge the fixed idea of jewelries that the former generation accomplished, and continued to expand their ideas. Since it was the time in which new materials developed in the overall fields of design and novel techniques to handle them were actively researched, the traditional value of jewelry that symbolized wealth and social position jumped to a movement to grope for new and radical meanings as well as the effective use of diverse materials. Accordingly, I gave an overview of the influence that modern art had on jewelry artists in the early 20th century, and inquired into the formation of mutual relation between modern arts and jewelry. Based on such analysis, I researched what kind of indigenous cultural background and characteristic that modern jewelry solidified the foundation on in order to develop, and groped for that the possibility of its aesthetic expression to expand.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of suburban community water fluoridation programs on preventing caries in permanent teeth. Methods: In 2012, surveys were administered to children aged 8, 12, and 15 years residing in fluoridated Habcheon township area. Samples collected during the national survey in 2012 from children of the same age residing in non-fluoridated township areas were used as the control, and the caries prevalence data from this sample were used to estimate the caries preventive effect in the studied regions. This study included 457 subjects from the Habcheon township area and 1,792 in the control group. The data obtained from the survey were analyzed using the IBM SPSS statistical package version 21.0. The caries preventive effect exerted by fluoride in the community water supply was determined by calculating the differences in the DMFT and DMFS indices between the study and control groups. The cofounders of the mean number of fissure-sealed teeth and surfaces were controlled to estimate the effectiveness of caries prevention. Results: The odds ratio of subjects with no dental caries in the fluoridated region was 0.75 compared to that in the control group. The mean DMFT scores or DMFS scores adjusted for the number of fissuresealed teeth or tooth surfaces were lower than those in the control group. The caries prevention fraction was estimated to be 23.4% based on the difference in the adjusted mean DMFT scores between the control and study groups. Conclusions: These results suggest that fluoridation of the community water in the suburban area was highly effective in preventing dental caries in permanent teeth, and therefore, this community water fluoridation program should be implemented in other regions in Korea.
진주시 수돗물 불소농도조정사업의 11년간 비용편익 분석

Objectives: The aim of this study was to estimate the economic costs and benefits of a water fluoridation program in the city of Jinju, Korea. Methods: In 2009, dental surveys were conducted on 2,315 children aged 6-12 years in Jinju, which had been fluoridated for 11 years. The decayed/missing/filled teeth (DMFT) scores of children in Jinju were compared to the DMFT scores of same-aged children in non-fluoridated small- and mediumsized cities in the fourth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted from 2007 to 2009 by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The reduced number of decayed permanent teeth by the water fluoridation program was estimated as the difference between the DMFT scores of children in Jinju and those in non-fluoridated small- and medium-sized cities. The economic benefits were estimated by the savings from reduced dental treatment costs by using the reduced number of decayed permanent teeth from the water fluoridation program. All annual costs and benefits were calculated from 1998 to 2009. The social rate and untreated rate of decayed teeth were applied as 3% and 20%, respectively. The annual benefit-cost ratio was estimated by using the annual benefits and cumulative program costs. Results: The economic benefit in 2009 from a water fluoridation program was estimated as 57,496,000,000 Korean Won (KRW), and the cumulative cost in 2009 was estimated as 1,387,000,000 KRW. The net present value in 2009 from a water fluoridation program was 56,109,000,000 KRW. The benefit-cost ratio in 2009 was estimated as 41.4. Conclusions: The economic benefit of a water fluoridation program in Jinju city was evaluated as excellent.
성인의 부정구강진료 경험 관련 요인: 국민건강영양조사제4기(2007-2009년) 자료를 중심으로

Objectives: The aim of the study was to analyze the factors related to the illegal dental treatment experience(IDTX) among Korean adults. Methods: The raw data for the analysis of IDTX among Korean adults were obtained from the datasetof the Fourth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted in 2007-2009. Stratifiedweighted subjects aged ≥45 years were selected according to region by using clustered samplingmethods. In total, the data of 9,254 subjects, who participated in the interview and dental examinationsrelated to the experience of illegal dental treatments, were analyzed using chi-square test, general linearmodel, and logistic regression analysis with complex sampling design by considering demographicand socioeconomic variables (age, gender, region, educational level, household income, and medicaland dental delivery system) as well as oral status variables (prosthesis and number of natural remainingteeth). Results: IDTX rate was <10% among adults aged 35-44 years or below. However, it increased to 15%among adults aged 45-54 years and was >30% among adults aged ≥65 years. The age group with ahigh IDTX rate coincided with the age group with a high number of lost teeth. Most of the IDTX caseswere presumed to be prosthetic treatments. The model comprising demographic, socioeconomic, andoral status variables had the highest explanation power. Significant variables were educational level,household income, prosthesis status, and number of remaining teeth. Women and persons under themedicaid system were more likely to undergo illegal dental treatments. Conclusions: Comprehensive prosthetic treatments are suggested to be included in the care servicesof the national health insurance and medicaid system to reduce the number of illegal dental treatments.

Objectives A purpose of this study is to report a case study of a child with urolithiasis and urinary tract infections. Methods A four-year-old female had been taken Korean traditional medicine for two weeks, and clinical symptoms had been observed. Results Treating with Korean traditional medicine, symptoms of urolithiasis with urinary tract infections has been improved. Conclusions This study supports that Korean traditional medicine can be an effective means of treating internal medicine for urolithiasis with urinary tract infections, and further case studies are needed for more accurate results.
