        Development of Self-Diagnosis Methodology Based on Process for Improving the Effectiveness in Public Institutions Service

        The purpose of this study is to develop the self-diagnosis methodology based on process for improving the effectiveness in public institutions service and to suggest it. For this goal, we would like to select the management methodology which can be easily handled from the viewpoint of working personnel in the public institutions and make it as a process. First, the strategy for the public institutions and the strategic task for practicing it are acquired using BSC (Balanced Score Card) which is now under the active research. At this time, the relative degree of significance is derived using the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) which is conducted for the professionals and management to get the degree of importance in the strategic tasks. The acquired relative degree of significance and the figures related to the performance of each strategic task derived from the subsequent questionnaire are used to get the final highly efficient strategic task through IPA (Importance Performance Analysis). In this study, this process based self diagnosis methodology will be explained in detail using the case of Project A in order to verify the effectiveness of the management science technique on the self diagnosis of the public institutions.

        Introduction of a new Supply Chain Finance model, based on China’s Wholesale business

        Wholesale business plays a crucial role in the circulation system of commodities in China, but innumerable wholesalers and merchants are facing financial constraints and therefore are not able to produce or order optimally. It is difficult for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to get financial support from banks with their own credit. Supply chain finance (SCF) approach offers a good solution for this problem. Existing models of SCF are introduced in this paper. Based on the characteristics of wholesale business, a new supply chain finance model is introduced to help wholesalers gain access to bank loans. By introducing wholesale market as a third party, the new model is an innovative application of supply chain finance on wholesale business.

        공공기관과 민간기업의 소득격차에 관한 연구

        This paper uses the Heckman model to evaluate the income difference between the public sector and the private sector based on the CHNS data. The research finds that the difference of the public sector versus the private sector between the west area and the east area is about 10% from 1989 to 2000, the transition of the income difference is smooth, that data has made sharp increase to 32% from 2000 to 2011. Considering the income difference between the west area and the central area, the central area and the east area from 1989 to 1997, the data is about 10~15%, from 2000 to 2011 is rocketing time, the data reaches 20%. This paper is very revealing about the income difference of the public sector versus the private sector is increasing year after year, and the economy is developing rapidly but with imbalance among different areas in China. It would provides the reference for adjust the income distribution system in future.

        중국 제조기업의 제품혁신이 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        The purposes of this study are, in the first stage, to define and conceptualize companies’product innovation effort, corporate performance, customer orientation and supplier participation by checking their validity and reliability, and after that, to examine empirically the causal relationships between product innovation effort and corporate performance. As the second stage of this study, we examined whether there are moderate effects on the relationship by customer orientation and supplier participation respectively. To confirm two models we conducted sample survey for empirical analysis to 182 manufacturing companies in China. The results of our study are as follows: firstly, all 4 constructs are confirmed as valid and reliable ones used in models for empirical studies. Second, product innovation efforts has positive effect on corporate performance. Third, customer orientation shows significant positive moderate effect on relationship between product innovation effort and corporate performance, while supplier participation does not. This implies that customer orientation has synergy effect on product innovation effort of Chinese manufacturing companies in order to improve performance.

        중국 시장에서 협력적 SCM 실행과 기업 성과 간 관계에 대한 환경경영 실행의 조절 효과

        Our first purpose of this research is to conceptualize collaborative Supply Chain Management and corporate performance and to confirm their validity and reliability as a research constructs in Chinese industry. Furthermore, we tried to verify whether there is a positive relationship between implementing collaborative SCM and corporate performance or not. In the second stage of this study, we verified whether using eco-friendly material and implementing eco-friendly production process have positive moderate effect on that relationship respectively. To answer those research questions, we conducted empirical surveys on 203 companies in major cities in Chinese market. As the results of empirical studies, we could verify that collaborative SCM affects on corporate performance positively in Chinese market. Furthermore, as the results of moderate regression model analysis, eco-friendly material use has positive moderate effect on the relationship between collaborative SCM and corporate performance, while implementing eco-friendly production process does not. These results give us a managerial implication that implementing collaborative SCM and using eco-friendly materials have synergy effect on corporate performance.

        IT 기업의 R&D 투자 및 운영 효율성 분석 : 서비스업 및 제조업의 비교를 중심으로

        In this study, we conducted a comparative analysis of R&D investment efficiency and operational efficiency of IT firms using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). We categorized thirteen sample firms into two groups-IT manufacturing and IT service-after an extensive literature review on IT industry classification. We adopted an output-oriented twostage DEA model suggested by Banker et al. (1984) with total asset and R&D investment as input variables. Then, we constructed investment efficiency and operational efficiency by using Return on Equity (ROE) and Return on Asset (ROA) as intervening variables and operating income and Earnings Per Share (EPS) as output variables. The outcome of the analysis is summarized as follows. First of all, IT manufacturing firms were more efficient (57% on average) than IT service firms. To be specific, IT service firms showed decreasing returns to scale (DRS) with diseconomy of scale. In contrast, IT service firms showed higher operational efficiency (81.5% on average) than IT manufacturing firms. Also, we conducted a Mann-Whitney U test to compare the output of IT service firms and IT manufacturing firms. Lastly, we found a negative correlation (R2 = -.754) between R&D investment efficiency and operational efficiency which infers the trade-off between two constructs

        의료서비스 품질 평가가 고객 충성도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        최근 들어 의료산업 내 경쟁이 치열해지면서 많은 의료기관들이 의료서비스 품질인증제를 획득하고자 노력하지만, 그 효과를 실증적으로 분석한 연구는 거의 없었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 의료기관이 품질 인증을 받은 후, 환자가 이러한 의료 서비스 품질인증제 획득을 인지하는 것이 품질 평가, 고객 만족, 고객 충성도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 먼저, 의료서비스 품질 평가가 고객 만족에 영향을 미치고, 고객 만족은 재방문 의도와 긍정적 구전에 영향을 미친다는 가정을 구조방정식모형을 통해 검증하였다. 또한 잠재평균분석을 통해서 의료서비스 품질인증제를 인지하는 환자 집단과 인지하지 못하는 환자 집단 간에 각 요인별 차이가 존재하는지를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 의료서비스 품질 평가가 고객 충성도와 유의한 관계가 있음을 확인할 수 있었고, 의료서비스 품질인증제를 인지하는 집단이 인지하지 못하는 집단에 비해 유형성, 신뢰성, 확신성에 관한 의료서비스 품질 평가, 고객 만족, 재방문 의도가 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 의료기관이 품질 인증제를 획득하고 이를 환자에게 인지시킴으로써, 품질 평가, 고객 만족, 고객 충성도를 향상시킬수 있음을 보여준다. As the healthcare industry has become increasingly more competitive in recent years, many healthcare service providers have made an effort to acquire service quality certifications. However, very few studies empirically analyze their effect. This study examines the impact on quality assessment, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty when healthcare service providers become certified and patients become aware of it. We began with the hypothesis that quality assessment has an impact on customer satisfaction, and has a positive impact on the patient's intention to re-visit as well as positive word-of-mouth. The hypothesis was tested using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). In addition, a latent mean analysis was used to determine whether any difference exists between the group of patients who were aware of their healthcare provider's certification and another group who were unaware. Analysis results showed that the relationship between healthcare quality assessment and customer loyalty was significant. Additionally, patients with awareness of the provider's certification status gave significantly higher scores for tangibles, reliability, and assurance on the service quality of the provider in their quality assessments, satisfaction level, and intention to revisit compared to the patients without the awareness. Study results suggest that when healthcare providers become certified for service quality and encourage their patients to become aware of the certification, then quality assessment, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty can improve.

        IPTV 망 임대의 가격책정 전략 : 동태적 분석

        Due to rapid developments of IT technologies, convergence services like IPTV (Internet protocol television) are shown up. Even though expert and customer had great expectations for this innovative service, commercialization was delayed for years by the legal dispute between industry players. One of the biggest problems was that whether internet backbone providers have to share their internet network backbone with IPTV service providers (which don’t have network backbone) or not. As other countries, Korean government set the rules that ISP have to offer indiscriminate access to other IPTV service provider. At the same time, internet backbone providers can charge access charge based on cost by way of compensation. Thus access charge is very critical to the IPTV industry players. The objective of this paper is to provide model that can calculate the reasonable access charge by system dynamics, based upon real data in Korean telecommunication industry.

        다국적 기업의 글로벌 R&D 활동 성과 결정 요인에 관한 연구

        Many firms are trying to acquire innovative technologies and relative knowledge by offshoring R&D work. Although research to date has focused on the multinational corporations’ motivations of R&D offshoring, such as cost reduction and market expansion, little is known about external or environmental factors influencing the performance of global R&D activities. We investigated the relationship between the offshore R&D performance and the technical capabilities of the parent company, the host country and the home country as enhancers from outside R&D facilities. The analysis uses European patent data and EU R&D scoreboard of 134 overseas R&D labs from 46 multinational corporations in 2005. Also, we calculated total patent number of each country for this. Results from path analysis supported our main hypothesis that the technological capabilities of the parent company and the host country positively affect the overseas R&D performances. By multi-group analysis, we also found that the relationships among the variables are different for each industry.
