        정형물리치료의 임상적 특성에 대한 비교

        As one of the effective therapies for musculoskeletal diseases, orthopedic manual physical therapy has been watched with keen interest. In Korea, orthopedic manual physical therapy has been widely spread and applied in the field of clinical medicine since the mid-nineties. Since then, the clinical efficacy of orthopedic manual physical therapy has been approved, and orthopedic manual physical therapy has been gradually spread in the filed of clinical medicine. However, it should be noted that clinically available therapies are not well recognized. Therefore, this study was conducted to allude diagnostic and therapeutic characteristics of these therapies including deep tissue massage, manual therapy, Cyriaxs method combining manual reduction and chemotherapy, Kaltenborn-Evjenth method based on concave-convex rule for joint and soft tissue, Maitlands method based on patients sign and symptom, stress due to the posture, intraarticualr disturbance and Mckenzies method for pain due to the dysfunction.

        Effect of pH and Calcim on Non-symbiotic Growth of Trifolium subterraneum in Solution Culture

        The effect of pH and calcium on the growth of subterraneum clover (Trifolium subteraneum L.) varieties Dwalganup, Mt. Barker, and Tallarook was determined in solution culture. At pH 4.5 and below all components of growth except germination percentage were adversely affected. The effect of lower pH was improved at high calcium level(3.0mM). There was a varietal difference in response to low pH. Mt. Barker showed the highest percent germination and produced the longest radicle length, whereas the greatest value in top dry weight, root dry weight, root length and number of laterals was obtained with Tallarook. Subterraneum 클로바의 생장(生長)에 미치는 pH와 칼슘의 영향(影響) 및 품종간(品種間) 반회차이(反灰差異)를 수경재배(水耕栽培) 실험(實驗)으로 조사(調査)하였다. 1. 산성(酸性)(pH 4.5이하(以下))에서 발아율(發芽率)을 제외(除外)한 조사조(調査調)된 모든 생장요인(生長要因)이 저하(低下)되었다. 2. 산성(酸性)에 의한 생장장해(生長障害)는 높은 농도(濃度)의 칼슘(3.0mM)처리(處理)로 감소(減少)되었다. 3. 산성(酸性)에 대한 반응(反應)에는 품종간(品種間)에 차이(差異)가 있어 Mt. Barker는 조사(調査)된 세 품종중(品種中) 가장 높은 발아율(發芽率) 및 가장 긴 유근신장(幼根伸長)을 보였으나, 지상부(地上部) 및 근건물중(根乾物重), 근장(根長) 및 측근(側根)의 수(數)에 있어서는 Tallarook가 가장 높은 값을 나타내었다.

      • 토양처리형 제초제가 질소비료의 무기화작용에 미치는 영향 I. 침수토양 조건

        담수상태하에서 Butachlor, Nitrofen, Benthiocarb+Simetryne, Propanil, Perfluidone 등의 제초제가 시비한 질소의 변화과정에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 요소와 약제를 처리한 후 $24\pm1^{\circ}C$에서 배양하면서 무기능 실소, pH 및 Eh의 변화를 검토하였던 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Nitrofen, Benthiocarb + Simetryne, Propanil 등은 전 처리농도에서 요소의 분해에 의한 암모니아의 생성에 아무런 영향이 없었다. Butachlo 와 Perfluidone은 표준시용량의 8배의 고농도 처리에서 처음 암모니아의 생성을 다소 감소시켰으나 이 분해억제효과는 시일이 경과하면서 바로 정상수준으로 회복되었다. 2. Propanil을 제외한 공시약제 모두 전 처리농도에서 실화억제 효과를 찾아 볼 수 없었다 Propanil은 표준량의 8배의 고농도 처리에서 암모니아의 산화를 억제하여 앙모니아태 질소를 축적하고 아질산태 질소와 질산태 질소의 생성을 다소 감소시켰는데 이러한 경향은 시비질소의 농도가 높아지면서 다소 명확하여졌다. 3. PH와 Eh의 변화에 대한 공시약제의 영향은 거의 찾아 볼 수 없었다. Effect of Butachlor(2-chloro-2, 6-diethyl N-(buthoxymethyl) acetanilide), Nitrofen(2,4-dichloro-4-nitrodiphenyl ether), Benthiocarb+Simetryne(s-(4-chlorobenzyl)-N, N-diethylthiocarbamate $7\%$+2-methylthio-4, 6-bis(ethylamino)-s-triazine $1.5\%)$, Propanil (3,4-dichloropropionanilide), and Perfluidone {1. 1. 1-trifluoro-N, N-(2-methyl-4-(phenylsulfonyl) Pheny1) methanesulfon amide} on urea hydrolysis and subsequent nitrification was investigated in a flooded soil incubated at $24\pm1^{\circ}C$ for 9 weeks. 1. Butachlor and Perfluidone at the rate of 1,440 and 1,200g, ai/10a, respectively, slightly inhibited the early stage of urea decomposition, and caused a slight decrease in the production of ammomium, which, however, was recovered readily. 2. Propanil at the rate of 2,800g, ai/10a imhibited the first stage of nitrification, and brought about a slight increase in the ammonium conentration and a decrease in the concentration of nitrite and nitrate. This inhibitive effect was a little more evident at higher concentration of applied nitrogen. The other herbicides caused no inhibition of urea decomposition and subsequent nitrification even at the highest rate of application. 3. pH and Eh of the soil were not significantly affected by the herbicides tested.

        Effect of Somatotype on the VO2max and Hormone during Treadmill walking

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of somatotype on the VO2max and hormone (adrenaline and noradrenaline) during treadmill walking. Forty healthy men participated and were randomized to four groups: Male 1 (M1) group, Male 2 (M2) group, Male 3 (M3) group, and Male 4 (M4) group. M4 group is the largest body type, and M1 group is the smaller the body type. Participants walked at a speed of 3.5 km/h for five minutes at an incline angle of 0°, 5°, and 10° in the treadmill. Maximum oxygen consumption and hormone (adrenaline and noradrenaline) were measured. In the results, VO2max has significantly increased according to the degree of the treadmill inclination, and M4 group (larger body type) consumed more oxygen than the M1 group(smaller body type). In the hormone, there was a significant increase in adrenaline concentration after walking in all groups, and there was a significant difference in M1-M4, M2-M4 and M3-M4. The noradrenaline concentration significantly increased after treadmill gait in all groups, and there was no significant difference in noradrenaline between groups. This study suggests that the larger body type consumes more oxygen during walking, and treadmill walking contributes to an increase in the concentration of adrenaline and noradrenaline.

        동부류 근류균(根瘤菌)의 땅콩에 대한 근류형성(根瘤形成)과 질소고정(窒素固定)

        국내에서 분리(分離)된 73개의 땅콩 근류균(根瘤菌)과 31개의 도입된 Cowpea 근류균(根瘤菌)의 국내 땅콩 장려 품종(品種)에 대한 접종효과를 온실실험으로 조사하였던바 근류형성(根瘤形成)과 건물생산량 및 총(總) 질소함량(窒素含量)에서 다양한 변화(變化)를 보였다. 총(總) 건물생산량과 총(總) 질소함량(質素含量)의 서열간에 가장 높은 상관관계가 있었다. 조사된 균주중(菌株中)에서 51.9%, 26.4%, 21.7%가 각각 우량균주(優良菌株), 보통균주(普通菌株), 및 불량균주(不良菌株)로 나타났으며, JB7을 포함한 6개 균주가 가장 우수했다. 조사된 균주(菌株)는 YMA배지상에서의 생장특성에 따라 5개의 군(群)으로 분리되었다. Glasshouse experiments were conducted to evaluate nodulation, and $N_2$ fixation of 73 strains of Bradyrhizobia isolated from nodules of groundnuts and/or cowpeas grown at various location in Korea and 31 strains of cowpea Bradyrhizobia obtained from overseas sources. Of the strains tested 51.9%, 26.4%, and 21.7% were rated fully effective, partially effective, and ineffective, respectively. Eight very effective strains were selected. Nodulation, shoot dry mass, whole plant dry mass, and plant total N content were significantly correlated with each other. The highly significant correlation of total N content and plant dry mass ($r=0.98^{**}$) indicates that plant dry mass can be used as a measure of strain effectiveness in preliminary test.
