To investigate the effect of cimetidine on the phagocytic function of reticuloendothelial system in rats, the phagoccytic activity was assessed by carbon clearance method after intraperioneal administration of cimetidine with various dosage, namely 0.2, 1, 5 and 25mg per 100gm of bdy weight/day respectively for one or two weeks. 1. In cimetidine treated group, the phagocytic activity was increased significantly than normal and control group. 2. The increased phagocytic activity was in proportion to the amount and duration of cimetidine administraion.
아닐린의 산화적 카르보닐화에 의한 에틸페닐카바메이트의 합성

Ethylphenyl carbarmate(EPC) was synthesized by oxidative CO carbonylation of aniline in the presence of transition metal catalysts and alkari metal halide cocatalysts at 120℃ under the pressure of 79 atm. Oxygen gas was used for oxidizing agent. About 100% conversion to EPC and 93% selectivity was obtained in 5 hour reaction under this conditions. Increase in pressure and temperature increased conversion. 0.02% of 5% Pd/C was the most effective. Effectiveness of cocatalysts was in the order of KI>KBr>KCI as anion effects. As cation effect CsI and KI were about the same but NaI was a little lower. Iodine itself gave catalytic effect but produced more byproducts of Nethylbenzamine and N, N'-diphenylurea. No dehydration effect of zeolite and triethylorthoformate was not recognized,but decreased the reactor pressure significantly. As the temperature increased, the conversion rate increased. The reaction was apparent first order and activation energy was 5.647kcal/mol.
2, 4-Diamino-7-phenyl-6-methylthiopteridine 合性에 關한 硏究

2, 4, 6-Triamino-5-nitrosopyrimidine was prepared using malononitrile and guanidine carbonate, and acetylated refluxing in acetic acid with acetic anhydride in order to ativate the nitroso group for nucleophilic attack. Nucleophilic attack of phenylpyrimidium bromide on the nitroso group of 2, 4, 6-triacetamido-5-nitrosopyrimidine gave the intermediate, which lost pyridine to give the nitrone derivative. Addition of the methanethiol anion to nitrone gave 2, 4-diacetamido-7-phenyl-6-methylthiopteridine which was hydrolyzed to give 2, 4-diamino-7-phenyl-6-methyl thiopteridine. Spectral data(IR, M.S, NMR) were provided to identify the reaction products during synthesis.

Nowadays diabetes is the most dangerous trouble among the adult diseases. Especially it is possibly to cause the death resulted from complication as well as the partial amputation of the legs. In this respect, wearing of diabetic shoes for a prevention of diabetes can be a possible and an effective way to avoid such an amputation. This study aims at developing diabetic ahoes with a special function, which is called Medial Longitudinal Support, and studying on the treating effects of those in foot diseases of the diabetics.

Shoes are worn for protection of foot, supporting the weight of the body, propelling the body forward and efficiency of work. The majority of foot troubles are caused by ill-fitting footwear or socks. Ill-fitting shoes cause not only damage to the skin, troubles of the toes and troubles of the arches but also inefficient of work. Shoes have to combine the three functions of fitting, adaptation and modification. For the purpose of making the functional shoe to fit for wearing, we should consider material, structure and function of footwear on the basis of the design of biomechanical engineering. Generally, the important shoe components related with walking factors are upper, insole, midsole, outsole, etc. This study is to systematize the shape of outsole, friction coefficient and effect depended on temperature.

Every shoe needs to be designed and produced under human engineering to meet its adequate use. Manufactured shoes need to be applied and utilized according to their functions. There can be many causes to foot diseases. One of the causes can be wrong selection of shoes. The deficiency of function can make foot diseases serious. In this serious case, we can consult doctors to treat the diseases fundamentally, but wearing functional shoes can be effective and it also improves the disease. One of the best examples is functional shoes for diabetes. But these diabetic shoes should be produced on the base of full understanding of diabetes. If the shoes are not designed with proper materials and structures, they can worsen the diseases. In this study, we aim to develop functional diabetic shoes to help diabetic patients and we take the peculiarity of the diabetic patients into consideration to complement existing general diabetic shoes.
