The Leaf Spring Mount (LSM) or Naval ‘X’ Type Shock Mount is widely approved by system engineers who have designed and developed to protect ship-borne equipment from vibrations and shock caused by underwater explosion. The LSM is currently being replaced more and more by newly developed shock mounts, but is for some applications still the most effective solution. and it is found a large number of applications in both military and civilian use. But its elliptic leaf configuration with the epoxy regin of the spaces between the leaves to provide damping makes little confusion to accept its linearly resilient spring element in case of FEM analysis. So this paper aims to study this geometrical nonlinearity.
