In this study, we will simulate the hydrodynamic load capacity and equivalent roughness for textured surface in oil lubrication for well understanding of friction properties by hydrodynamic lubrication theory. In the dimple pattern, dimple depth is 2μm and dimple size is 40μm, 70μm, and 100μm. Calculated Rrms<SUP>*</SUP> is 47nm from measured value of Rrms,1 and Rrms,2. Viscosity was 3.125Pa · s for paraffin oil. It can be seen that hydrodynamic load capacity WHL increased with the decreasing of minimum oil film thickness hmin. And if we compare the maximum WHL at hmin=Rrms<SUP>*</SUP>,100μm diameter dimples showed largest of all as 9.2N. Maximum WHL at hmin=Rrms<SUP>*</SUP> is 7.5N and 6.2N for 70μm, 40μm diameter dimples, repectively. WHL of the flat slider shows almost of zero. It was shown the hydrodynamic lubrication in dimple patterning and could be seen that an increase in durability.

In this study, we developed the fuel pump valve on MC-C type ship engine. We examined the 7 kinds performance of valve through three-dimensional measuring machine and surface roughness. It showed better performance than the spec. We measured the chemical component of valve materials. It was suitable for the material standard value. Also we measured the hardness of heat-treated parts on valve. It was suitable for the hardness standard value. When the designed valve made a prototype, there's nothing problem and the development was successful.
Vibrio 속 세균 동정에 대한 자동화동정 시스템의 비교

해수로부터 Vibrio속 세균 21균주를 분리하여 이들의 표현형적 특성을 조사하고 자동화동정 시스템인 Vitek과 MIDI를 이용하여 동정하고 결과를 비교하였다. Vitek과 MIDI를 이용한 Vibrio속 세균의 동정시 일치하는 결과는 단 1건(TL33, V. alginolyticus)이었으며,Vitek의 경우 21균주중 16균주(76%), MIDI의 경우 21균주 중 6균주 (29%)가 동정되었다. Vibrio속 세균의 동정에는 MIDI에 비하여 Vitek시스템이 유용한 것으로 사료된다. Twenty one Vibrio strains were isolated from costal water and their phenotypic properties were determined. We identified bacterial isolates by using automated identification systems, Vitek and MIDI, and compared their identification results with each other. The comparison of them provided identical species information for only one isolates, TL33( V. alginolyticus). From Vitek and MIDI,16 (76%), and 6 (29%) out of 21 isolates were identified to the species level, respectively. Vitek was more useful than MIDI for identification of Vibrio species.
Phycocyanin locus내의 DNA Polymorphism에 의한 한국산 Cyanobacteria의 유전적 다양성

Cyanobacteria의 광합성 보조색소인 phycocyanin의 PC operon(cpc gene)을 PCR로 증폭하고, 제한효소로 처리하여 RFLP pattern을 비교하였다. Intergenic spacer sequence를 포함한 cpc gene은 실험에 사용한 cyanobacteria 균주 모두에게 증폭되었으며, 산물의 size는 약 700 bp였다. PCR산물을 5종의 제한효소로 처리한 결과 AluI, MspI, HaeIII는 같은 속내으ㅐ 균주간에 동일한 pattern을 나타내어 속 구분이 가능하였으며 CfoI은 Anabeana와 Synechocystis속의 균주간에 구별되는 양상을 나타내어 속내 균주 구별에 유용하였다. Restriction enzyme profile에 의한 phenogram에서 Anabeana, Chlorogloea, Synechyhocystis는 각각 하나의 cluster를 형성하여 cyanobacteria의 분류에 PC-IGS의 RFLP pattern이 유용함을 알 수 있었다. The genetic diversity among Korean cyanobacteria was assessed by restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP) analysis of PCR products from the phycocyanin locus. Strains of all the genera tested were successfully amplified, and the size of amplified fragments was approximately 700bp. The restriction patterns generated by AluI, MspI, and HaeIII were conserved for strains within each of genera studied and were specific to the genus level. Intrageneric delineation of strains was revealed by the enzyme, CfoI for members of genera Anabeana and Synechocystis. Phenogram derived from the different RFLP patterns revealed a coherent cluster among Anabeana, Chlorogloea, and Synechocystis strains. PC-RFLP methods provided useful tools for classification of cyanobacteria.
