The purpose of this research aimed at performing the easy design, and also the easy on-the-job application of the maintenance interval determination methodology by presenting the determining model of the optimizing maintenance interval in TBM for the preventive maintenance of facilities TBM(time-base based maintenance) as the preventive maintenance requires the adequate determination of the maintenance interval. The maintenance interval of TBM shall be applied differently for the each interval such as the patrol inspection, maintenance, overhaul inspection, exchange. And it is based on the composition level of equipment. The already informed theories of interval determination methodology for the patrol inspection, repair, and overhaul inspection are difficult for adopting because of the several restriction problems in applying in the maintenance schemes as the theory. So, the model for determining the optimizing exchange interval of part, maintenance interval of auxiliary machine, unit equipment, etc. was presented to apply in the maintenance easily and appropriately.

This research aimed at the effective operating program of TPM in order to produce the more managing profits. In the promotive activation measures of the profit-producing TPM activity, first, the study on the interfering background of the recent TPM activity, the condensated framework of profit, and the new direction of profit-producing TPM activity were showed. Second, the contributive margin, the framework of cost, the calculating method of contributive margin by the total plant efficiency, and the curtailed cost in keeping the 1% upraised total plant efficiency for a given period of time were also presented. As the study and countermeasures of products and sales the sales price and the cost reduction side to raise the managing profits, the indivisual improvement activity of the the production devision to increase the products, TPM activity for the business-division to increase the sales, TPM for the research and development devision to raise the sales price, and the detailed classification and effective countermeasures for the big 16 losses interrupting the production efficiency to curtail the cost were presented in regular sequence, and also the effective direction and countermeasure model of new TPM to produce the more managing profits were presented.
