1. Objectives This is the comparative study with hand-operated measurement method and Automatic measurement method, in order to convert the automatic measurement method. 2. Methods We measured the body of patients(hand-operated Width 5 Places and hand-operated circumference 8 place,Automatic Width 5 and automatic circumference 8 place by 3D body measuring instrument) and analyzed the anthropometric data divding into sex&age. 362 patient's data are used in the analysis. 3. Results and Conclusions 1) 1th circumference variable which standing was not a sasang constitutional difference. 2) Diagnostic accuracy rate of the body measurement was 50-80%. 3) Diagnostic accuracy rate of man is higher than Diagnostic accuracy rate of women 4) Diagnostic accuracy rate of Automatic & hand-operated measuring was not a big difference.

1. Objectives The Body Shape and Feature is one of the important standard for classification of Sasang Constitutions. In order to evaluate one's Body Shape and Feature objectively we have been developing the Body Measuring Machine. Now we develop the 3D Automatic Body Measuring Machine(3D-ABMM). So we make an analysis of the 3D-ABMM's Accuracy. 2. Methods By using the 3D-ABMM and Vivid 9i(3D laser scanner, Konica Minolta) we have a surface scan of the three objects which are the upper body of the female and male Manikin and a male model. We overlap each scan data using the RapidForm2006 (3D scan data solution, INUS Technology) and calculate the average distance and standard deviation between the same point of each scan data. 3. Results and Conclusions In the female Manikin, the average distance is 0.84mm and the standard deviation is 1.16mm and the maximum distance is 10.68mm. In the male Manikin, the average distance is 1.12mm and the standard deviation is 1.19mm and the maximum distance is 12.00mm. In the male model, the average distance is 3.26mm and the standard deviation is 2.59mm and the maximum distance is 12.75mm. From the results, 3D-ABMM has good accuracy for scanning body and will be a usable hardware of the 3D Automatic Body Analysis Machine.

1. Objectives Pneumothorax is defined as the presence of air or gas in the pleural cavity causing chest pain and shortness of breath. Primary spontaneous pneumothoraces (PSPs) occur in people without underlying lung disease or trauma to the thorax. We have tried researching effect of herbal medicine Doksampalmulkeunja-rang(獨蔘八物君子湯) in PSPs. 2. Methods This patient with PSPs which size was more than 30% of Rt. lung, who had been experienced the recurrences of PSPs in Lt. lung for three times, was treated by Doksampalmulkeunja-tang(獨蔘八物君子湯) diagnosed by Soeumin. 3. Results Doksampalmulkeunja-tang(獨蔘八物君子湯) was effective against the chest discomfort and shortness of breath. The chest test was improved. 4. Conclusions The treatment with herb-medicine may have effect on PSPs symptom of Soeumin by raising the stagnant yang qi. Further Sasang medical study on PSPs is needed for recurrence prevention.

1. Objective The purpose of this study was to develop and upgrade the On-line SSCQ (Sasang Constitution Questionnaire) by making an analysis of diagnostic accuracy rate of Sasang Constitution Questionnaire for doctors. 2. Methods We have collected SSCQ-D(Sasang Constitution Questionnaire for Doctors) from the dept. of Sasang constitutional medicine in the four other university. We classified data according to Sasang constitution, sex, age and BMI and made an analysis using the chiefly discriminant analysis model, additionally frequency analysis, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. 3. Results and Conclusion 1) Diagnostic accuracy rate of the SSCQ-D was between 71.33 and 95.14%. (1) About the whole subject the accuracy rate was 71.33%. (2) About the whole female the accuracy rate was 73.26%. (3) About the whole male the accuracy rate was 81.41%. 2) The more classification variables we used in this analysis study, the higher the diagnostic accuracy rate increased.

1. Objectives This study integrates and studied variable of Questionnaire for doctors and Questionnaire for patients. After, found extremely useful variable. 2. Methods Through the medium of statistical method and advice of the Department of Sasang Constitution Medicine specialist, found extremely useful variable. 3. Results and Conclusions 1) Through the medium of statistical method (STEPDISC, DISCRIM), The variable which is selected lastly above once from 36 taxon, In the Questionaire for doctors Taeyang items is 18, Soyang items is 16, Taeumin items is 21, Soeumin items is 20. In the Question patients Taeyang items is 50, Soyang items is 53, Taeumin items is 63, Soeumin items is 64. 2) The variable which got above 25 from the Department of Sasang Constitution Medicine specialist, In the Questionaire for doctors Taeyang items is 5, Soyang items is 8, Taeumin items is 7, Soeumin items is 12. items is 32. 3) The variable which got above 25 from the Department of Sasang Constitution Medicine specialist and got above 3 the selection frequency, the Questionaire for doctors Taeyang items is 4, Soyang items is 4, Taeumin items is 5, Soeumin items is 8. In the Questionaire for patients Taeyang items is 10, Soyang items is 17, Taeumin items is 24, Soeumin items is 23.

1. Objectives The objective of this study is to offer some standards for the distinction of Sasang Constitutions through analyzing the characteristics of their body shapes that are classified by BMI. 2. Methods The subject of this study were 1341 female and 927 male patients who aged from 17 to 80 in Seoul, Pusan, Daeku and Jeonju. They were treated with Sasang Constitutional medicine. 8 circumferences, 5 widths, weight, height of their body were measured with measuring tape, large sliding caliper, scale and anthropometer. Collected 15 anthropometric datas were analyzed by Analysis of Contingency table, ANOVA and Duncan test. 3. Results (1) The Body shapes according to obesity grade are classified Underweight type that BMI is less than 18.5, Normal weight type that BMI is $18.5{\sim}23.0$ and Overweight type that BMI is mote than 23.0. (2) Soeumin represents Underweight type and Taeeumin represents Overweight type regardless of gender differences. Soeumin stands for Normal weight type in women and Soyangin stands for Normal weight type in men. (3) In case of Underweight type, 13 measurements are not suitable to estimate Sasang Constitutions regardless of gender differences. (4) In case of Normal weight type, 12 measurements except for W3 in women and W7 in men are suitable to estimate Sasang Constitutions. And there are no gender differences in Soyangin and Soeumin, but there are gender differences in Taeyangin and Taeeumin. (5) In case of Overweight type, 9 measurements except for C2, C5, C6, W7 in women and 12 measurements except for W3 in men are suitable to estimate Sasang Constitutions. And there are no gender differences in 4 Sasang Constitutions. 4. Conclusions From the above results, we have to consider not only gender differences and age groups but also obesity grade when we distinguish Sasang Constitutions.
