Since ozone gas has many advantages in the water treatment process. the bubble column treating water with ozone is largely used for this purpose. This paper is aimed to investigate the mass transfer rate of ozone in the semi batch bubble column. Effects of temperature, gas velocity, and the partial pressure of ozone in the carrier gas, which is oxygen in this experiment, on the rates of absorption and decomposition of ozone were studied in the system. The overall liquid phase volumetric coefficient, Kier, of ozone in the bubble column previously filled with a specific amount of water to be treated at the temperature range of 10-35°C, was determined from the equation (4), and compared with that calculated from the equation(11) with was derived from Wilke and Higbie equations. The overall coefficient, Km, determined by equation(4) is a little bit smaller than that calculated by the equation(11). It is suggested that the decomposition rate of ozone in the water must be added to the absorption rate to estimate the correct amount of ozone absorbed in the water which has significant meaning in the real application. At constant temperature, the overall mass transfer coefficient, Its, increases proportionally with the linear gas velocity. Also the overall mass transfer coefficient, Kra, increases as the temperature increases in the range specified, but is not affected by the partial pressure of ozone. The rate of decomposition of ozone in the water at p117.6 can be described in the first order reaction with regard to the liquid phase composition of ozone. The activation energy of the decomposition reaction is found to be 21.75kcal/ moL

Background: A clinical study of rosacea has never been reported in Korea. Objective : The purpose of this study was to elucidate the clinical observations of rosncea. Methods : During a 5-year-period from Jan. 1990 to Dec. 1994, 133 patients were evaluated with regard to age, sex, location of skin lesions, clinical type, duration, and precipitating factors. Results & Conclusions : 1. Of the 7,787 cases amongst outpatients, 133 cases(1.7% ) were dignosed with rosacea. Of there 46 were male patients and 87 females, giving a sex ratio of 1:1.9 in favor of females. 2. The most common type of rosacea was vascular rosacea(60.2%) 3. The average duration of rosacea was 3.4 years. 4. Rosacea afflict persons aged 40-49 most frequently. 5. The predilection sites of the rosacea were : cheek(42.9%), nose(23.3%), entire face(11.3%), cheek & nose(9%), zygomatic area(6.8%), extra-facial area(3.8%), forehead(2.9%). 6, The aggravating factors of rosacea were : unknown cause(32.3%), coffee & tea(18%), alcohol(13.5%), emotional stress(10.5%), sun exposure(9.8%), multi-factoral(7.5%), drugs(steroids) (4.6%). Group Contribution 법에 의한 고압기-액평형 (Ⅱ)

The energy parameter "a"in SPK equation of state is expressed by using a mixing rule derived from excess Gibbs free energy at infinite pressure based on the group contribution method. The group pair parameters are derived from this mixing rule.and determined for pairs consisted of the CH₂=CH₂, CH₂=CH, CH₂, CH₃, CH₂ CO₂ and N₂, groups from 86 binary vapor-liquid equilibria data. The high prtsure vapor-liquid equilibria is predicted from these parameters and compared with the results using the optimum interaction parameter (k_(ij)) in SRK equation of state for the binary systems. The high pressure vapor-liquid equilibria for ternary systems using these parameters is predicted with good accuracy.

Binary interaction parameters(k_(ij)) of the Peng-Robinson equation of state are deter-mined for binary mixture for 201 vapour-liquid equilibria data in 21 isotherms consisting of CO₂(1)-C₁~C₄, n-Alcohols(2). The obtained parameters are expressed in term of absolute temperature as quadratic function of which two coefficients are generalized functions of acentric factor the n-Alc:ohols(2), and the results are correlated as eqs.(9) and (10). The experimental vapour liquid equilibria are compared with the calculated results of vapour-liquid equilibria by using the generalized k_(ij), and are also compared with the results by optimum k_(ij) and by k_(ij)=0 which has commonly been used until now.
